Tang Zheng recruited powerful allies, brought down the Elf King, and entered a war shaped by hidden forces. He and his allies invaded Floating City and ended the stretch facing its mercenary defenses.

  • Tang Zheng defeated Zesshi Zetsumei and recruited her into Crown as the Evil Tree’s pollen threatened the Katze Plains and Crusch Lulu’s rain began to disperse it.

Arc 17The Evil Tree Awakens

Tang Zheng defeated Zesshi Zetsumei and recruited her into Crown, while the Evil Tree’s revival drew adventurers, the Kingdom, the Empire, and the Slane Theocracy into danger. The arc ended with the tree’s pollen driving soldiers berserk as Crusch Lulu’s rain began to clear it and the Black Scripture mobilized.

  • Tang Zheng used a Golem clone to fight the Deep Darkness Dragon Lord, discovered its scales could advance his classes, and escaped after the Dragon Lord killed the witnesses at the battle site.
  • Tang Zheng defeated Zesshi Zetsumei, recruited her as Crown’s seventh-tier member, and ordered her to lead the Slane Theocracy’s war against the Elf Empire and investigate the Six Great Gods’ Legacy.
  • Enri and Blue Roses investigated the Great Forest of Tob, where parasitic plants and pollen-controlled monsters revealed a growing threat.

Arc 18The Elf King’s Fall

Tang Zheng and his allies concealed their role in the Black Scripture’s destruction, strengthened Evileye, and moved against the Slane Theocracy and Elf Kingdom. Zesshi Zetsumei killed the Elf King after a brutal battle, and Tang Zheng took his unconscious body for his own purposes.

  • Lainas broke through her bottleneck as Gazef witnessed the Four Imperial Knights fall, while E-Rantel celebrated the Kingdom’s victory and the Black Scripture departed for the Great Forest of Tob.
  • Platinum Dragon Lord attacked the Black Scripture at the Evil Tree, but Zesshi Zetsumei destroyed his Platinum Armor after it trapped her group, and Tang Zheng secretly collected the awakened Evil Tree and a Tree Spirit.
  • Tang Zheng recruited the God-kin Captain as Honor, killed Kerry after taking the World Item, and arranged for the survivors to blame an unknown enemy for the Black Scripture’s deaths.
  • Tang Zheng empowered Evileye with Negative Energy until her racial classes reached their limit, then Renner proposed using a threat to bring the Slane Theocracy and Council State into cooperation and gained control of Eight Fingers.
  • Imina entered the Great Forest of Evasha, encountered Gacien Ho and the Flower-Crowned Monarch Butterfly, and later rescued an elf girl while the Theocracy’s advance stalled before Elf King City.

Arc 19The Kingdom’s Forced War

Tang Zheng investigated the Elf Kingdom’s fall and the hidden Floating City while training Zesshi Zetsumei and securing immortality. The Blue Sky Dragon Lord forced the Kingdom into war with the Empire, and the arc ended with the Kingdom’s army taking heavy losses as Tang Zheng questioned Renner’s reading of the conflict.

  • Tang Zheng installed Imina as ruler of the Elf Kingdom, took its treasury, and used Nfirea and [Downfall of Castle and Country] to capture the Elf King and send him to investigate Sky Castle Eryuentiu.
  • The Elf King was captured in Eryuentiu, while Tang Zheng investigated Plum’s murder and concluded that an imitator was gathering intelligence for the Slane Theocracy.
  • Tang Zheng brought Zesshi Zetsumei to Lainas for training, then subjected her to Curse Power until she awakened [Valkyrie] and began rebuilding her classes.
  • Tang Zheng learned Fluder Paradyne’s Immortality Ritual and gained an Immortality passive, while the Elf King’s reports revealed the Floating City’s Guardians, divisions, and reliance on Mercenary Monsters.

Arc 20The Invasion of Floating City

Tang Zheng and his allies captured Zesshi Zetsumei, seized the Guild Weapon, and launched an invasion of Floating City. They fought through its defenses and districts, ending at the Mercenary Hall as Silver Olive turned its mercenaries against them.

  • Renner warned Tang Zheng that the Council State’s war might conceal tests or operations against unknown forces, while Marquis Raeven sent Gazef and Lainas against the Empire’s Guardian God and sought the Blue Sky Dragon Lord’s help.
  • Fluder and the Blue Sky Dragon Lord joined the battlefield, where two Principalities wounded the dragon and held it at bay, leaving the war stalled.
  • Tang Zheng’s Doppelgänger captured Zesshi Zetsumei, but Tang Zheng pursued the Monster Hanzos and later joined the Platinum Dragon Lord in confronting them near the Dolor Desert.
  • Tang Zheng and the Platinum Dragon Lord attacked Floating City, where Tang Zheng entered the palace, stole the Guild Weapon Twelve Trials: Proverbs, and captured Gelos Hornfury with Downfall of Castle and Country.
  • Tang Zheng brought Zesshi Zetsumei and the God-kin Captain to Floating City, led them through its traps and Ring Maze, and broke through the Glory Colosseum and Black Crevice Alley.
  • Tang Zheng’s group followed the maze’s redirected path to the Mercenary Hall, where Silver Olive confronted them and ordered the mercenaries to attack after Tang Zheng and the God-kin Captain summoned Cerberus.
  • Rescue Cloud Warriors and six Hanzos attacked the group, Zesshi Zetsumei was struck down, and Cerberus protected her as Tang Zheng explained the Mercenary Hall’s power to summon level-80 mercenaries.
