Background / History

Qian Daoliu is the Elder Hall Master and the Angel God's guardian. While praying before the Angel God statue at Angel Sanctuary, he witnesses Shen Nuonuo's arrival amid a golden anomaly and believes her to be a divine directive. He later accepts her as his god-granddaughter and promises to protect her. 1 3

He is the father of Qian Xunji and grandfather of Qian Renxue. His greatest wish is for Qian Renxue to inherit the Angel God's position, and he regards her as the Qian family's long-awaited hope. Although he realizes that her ascension may require his sacrifice, he accepts that possibility as his destiny. 3 9 30

Qian Daoliu's wife disappeared after giving birth to Qian Xunji, later briefly returned, and vanished again. Her repeated disappearance left him grief-stricken and withdrawn from outside affairs until Qian Renxue's birth gave him renewed purpose. 38

Qian Daoliu is devoted to the Angel God, the Qian family, and Martial Soul Hall. He treats Qian Renxue with open tenderness and quickly extends similar familial protection to Shen Nuonuo, whom he recognizes as his god-granddaughter. 3 51

He is normally composed, stern, and authoritative, especially in matters involving Martial Soul Hall's security. The death of his son exposes a far more ruthless side: he refuses to forgive Clear Sky Sect for sheltering Tang Hao and deliberately forces its collateral disciples to turn on the direct line. 58 63 64
