Arc 17The Human Emperor’s Formation

Di Xin ascended as Human Emperor, allied with the Jie Sect, and established a formation that suppressed immortals within Chaoge. He brought Li Jing’s family to the capital and claimed the newborn Nezha for Great Shang, while True Person Taiyi was driven out by the city’s defenses.

  • Di Yi entrusted Zi Shou with the Human Emperor Sword and charged Wen Zhong, Bi Gan, and Shang Rong with supporting him before dying, awakening Zi Shou’s ancient memories as the Human Emperor.
  • After ascending the throne, Di Xin declared his ambition to unite the Nine Provinces, established a Hall of Honored Sages, and summoned Li Jing’s family to Chaoge.
  • Di Xin persuaded Tongtian Sect Master and the Jie Sect to help build a formation powered by Human Path Fortune, and Yunxiao led the disciples who mapped its design.

Arc 18The Scheme at Nuwa Palace

Di Xin thwarted the Saints’ attempts to provoke Nuwa and frame him, while Zhou Ming persuaded Nuwa to wait for the Tribulation and act against the Saints. Nuwa then went to Chaoge, declared her threat against Great Shang, and sent Golden Phoenix to proclaim that Heaven favored Zhou.

  • Primordial Lord Tianzun sent True Person Taiyi to take Nezha as his disciple, but Li Jing and Di Xin refused and Di Xin suppressed Taiyi with Chaoge’s Human Path Fortune.
  • Taiyi secretly stole Nezha, but Di Xin caught him, imprisoned him, and secured four Innate Spiritual Treasures from him before Taiyi fled Chaoge.
  • Primordial Lord Tianzun told Taiyi to abandon Nezha, while Daoist Zhunti and Daoist Jieyin began planning with him to target Di Xin and Nuwa.

Arc 19The Edict of Recommendation

Su Daji entered the palace, where Di Xin exposed and subdued the Nine-tailed Fox, while Jiang Ziya took up the Grand Tutor’s post. Di Xin’s Edict of Recommendation drove Ji Chang and hundreds of feudal lords into rebellion, leaving Jiang Ziya to lead Great Shang’s armies against them.

  • You Hun proposed Su Daji as a consort, and the Nine-tailed Fox possessed her under Nuwa’s orders to bring down Great Shang.
  • Fei Zhong and You Hun pressured Su Hu to send Su Daji to the palace, but Di Xin exposed their actions and arranged for her to accompany Queen Jiang instead.
  • Di Xin pulled the Creation Jade Talisman from the Nine-tailed Fox, restored Su Daji, and ordered the demon to become the Queen’s pet.

Arc 20The Battle of Sishui Pass

Great Shang reinforced Sishui Pass and defeated Xiqi’s first assault, prompting the Chan Sect to send its senior immortals against the Jie Sect. As the Nine Bends Yellow River Formation trapped the Twelve Golden Immortals and battles raged outside, Zhunti recruited Randeng into the Western Teachings.

  • Jiang Ziya appointed Nezha vanguard and secured Kong Xuan’s promise to protect Great Shang from any Saint who intervened.
  • At Sishui Pass, Yu Hua fought Lei Zhenzi and Ji Shudan until Nezha joined the battle, then Nezha was forced to retreat under the Chan Sect disciples’ combined attacks.
