Chapter 5: Collective Game Switch

Following the route on the map, Chen Ziyu and the others traveled for three hours before finally reaching the Ghost Mountains. The fog on the map began to disperse, revealing the terrain of the Ghost Mountains.

Most of the team had completed their first quests along the way and had basically upgraded to weapons from the store.

Having experienced the feeling of enhanced attributes after strengthening themselves, everyone was full of anticipation for this game and even more eager to explore its hidden features.

Wang Damang's resurrection cooldown also ended at that moment, and he logged back into the game.

Bei Li grinned. "This Netherworld Warrior was formed when a Yin soldier absorbed a huge number of Wandering Souls. It's a very special hybrid. There's a Netherworld Pearl in its chest. That's good stuff—you can consume it to alter your physique!"

Lu Wu suddenly understood Bei Li's intentions. He then used the Battle Artifact to observe the Players again.

Clearly, the Netherworld Warrior was far stronger than the Wandering Souls. Fortunately, everyone present was a professional gamer with quick reflexes. While dodging its attacks, they continuously inflicted wounds on the Netherworld Warrior.

The siege lasted a full hour and a half. Everyone was physically and mentally exhausted, and just when they thought they would not be able to outlast the Netherworld Warrior, the ferocious beast finally crashed to the ground. A cloud of Black Mist immediately rose up, split into several streams, and entered the bodies of everyone present.

At that moment, the Battle Artifact stripped away the Netherworld Warrior's outer layer, revealing a black pearl the size of a palm.

Chen Ziyu hurried forward and picked up the Netherworld Pearl. Information about the item immediately appeared.

All rated herbs obtained in the Ghost Mountains can be sold to the game store in exchange for Soul Coins based on their rating. Herb grades from low to high: Mortal Grade herbs, Spirit Grade herbs (Levels 1–9), King Grade herbs (Levels 1–3), divine herbs.

Side Quest: Monster Hunter. Completion reward: 30 Soul Coins.

Kill 30 Wandering Souls, 20 Lifestealers, 20 Skeleton Warriors, 10 Silent Wolves, and 2 Netherworld Warriors in the Ghost Mountains.

Growth Quest: I Am Strong. Quest reward: 30 Soul Coins.

Reach Level 20 and possess a full set of blue-rated equipment.

Equipment has ten parts:

Accessories: Rings x2, bracelets x2, necklace x1.

Gear: Helmet x1, battle armor or robe x1, weapon x1, battle boots or leather boots x1, belt x1.

The appearance of these quests excited the Players once again, filling them with anticipation for improving their strength.

Lu Wu had his own reasons for not issuing a main quest.

After all, the Players were still too weak. Having them confront Ghost Generals with numerous powerful subordinates would be like smashing eggs against rocks. He could only guide them to strengthen themselves first before creating a main quest.

Originally, everyone had planned to continue hunting in the Ghost Mountains and gather herbs to sell to the store, but a Game Notification suddenly appeared.
