The invasion of the Heavenly Realm came to an end, and Lu Wu vanished after that battle.

For the next two years, there were no more Game Notifications. The players felt as though they had lost their pillar of support.

They had witnessed that battle and learned that the Mastermind was the Big Meat Shield they had often joked about.

With the battle over, heaven and the Netherworld were separated once more, and the Netherworld returned to peace.

But every player knew that the crisis had not been resolved. They only had ten thousand years.

Those ten thousand years were their opportunity to develop. After ten thousand years, they would inevitably fight the Heavenly Realm again.

When they thought of even stronger Holy Spirit Kings existing by then, all the players sank into complete despair.

Because there was no hope of winning that battle.

Through their conversations with the ancient gods of the Netherworld, they came to understand what kind of existence the Holy Spirit Race was.

They were the strongest force in the entire outer realm. Even the Human Emperor at his peak had been unable to fight them, much less the players.

Having lost hope, the players no longer possessed the spirit of the Player Race.

Since the ending was already destined, what was the point of continuing to develop?

They already possessed long lifespans. Ten thousand years might seem long, but according to the ancient gods, it was actually very brief. They would all face that day.

In the days that followed, the players continued living their lives, but their fighting spirit was gone.

The natural disasters of this period no longer felt like natural disasters. They had completely lost their former passion and lived more like ordinary, unambitious races of the Netherworld.
