Background

Rosen entered the Marine Academy as a Weapon Fruit user and classmate of Gion and Tokikake. From the beginning, he displayed abnormal comprehension, rapidly gaining control over Haki and drawing Zefa’s attention. Sengoku regarded him as the Marines’ future and an heir to Absolute Justice, while Zefa began designing training specifically around Rosen’s unprecedented rate of growth 3 13.

Although he mastered Haki techniques almost immediately, Rosen initially lacked practical combat awareness. Zefa addressed that weakness by arranging battles against Gion and Tokikake, then taking Rosen to Impel Down’s Infinite Hell for increasingly dangerous live combat 13 15 26. Rosen used the prison campaign to test techniques, develop weapons, and turn powerful prisoners into cultivation opponents.

Rosen graduated from the Marine Academy early, declining a grand ceremony because he wanted his eventual promotion to Admiral, Fleet Admiral, and king to be the occasion worth celebrating 131. He was then dispatched to the North Blue, where he combined military power, political pressure, and technological development to build an independent power base for the Marines 134 179 180.

During his Impel Down training, he followed a routine of combat in the morning, cultivation at noon, technique creation in the afternoon, and deliberate rest afterward; his Haki, body, and Devil Fruit ability continued improving even while he relaxed 46 50.

His ambition is extreme, yet closely tied to Marine justice.
