Background / History

Zefa was a Marine Admiral known as the Black Arm Admiral, having reached that position through combat ability and Haki rather than a Devil Fruit. During the God Valley Incident, he defended the Celestial Dragons against Rocks Pirates executives Wang Zhi and Silver Axe, preventing their advance but suffering a pierced right chest and a torn trachea. The injuries were diagnosed as permanently unhealable, and his retirement from active Admiralty followed. 2 254

He also defeated Bakingom during the God Valley conflict, causing her to miss a Devil Fruit and earn a lasting grudge against him. Years later, Bakingom supplied Zefa's family address to Wang Zhi, who murdered Zefa's wife and three-year-old son in revenge for Zefa's interference at God Valley. 256 281 327
