Feihua Group's Darling

Suo Feiyue needed to lie in the medical pod for four hours every day for ten days. After that, she would recover completely.

This Starship was comparable to a small celestial body.

The Feihua Group's members all liked the little girl as well. Her smile was simply too sweet, and she was adorable as jade and snow. Her black eyes in particular were clear and bright, and she was very polite.

Whenever someone picked her up, she would say with a serious expression, "Big brother/big sister, let Jiujiu walk by herself. I need to exercise."

Most of the Feihua Group's members came from the Mingzhao Star System, Klar Star System, and Sulaina Star System.

Aside from the Mingzhao Star System, the inhabitants of the other two star systems were species different from humans, but they were all beautiful and powerful.

Jiujiu was already used to it. They were all living beings, after all. Recently, whenever she saw beautiful women of other species, she would immediately praise them, saying things like, "Big sister, you're so pretty! I like you so much!" followed by a whole stream of flattering nonsense.

Her sweet-talking skills were fully maxed out. This was a new skill she had acquired, because she had discovered that everyone in the Alliance—regardless of species or gender—loved hearing sweet! words! and! honeyed! compliments!

This was the experience Jiujiu had summed up while aboard the Feihua Group's Starship. As a result, throughout this voyage, she became the Feihua Group's most beloved little darling!

Not only did she receive piles of gifts, but several big sisters even wanted to kidnap her home and raise her. Jiujiu was utterly baffled.

Wei Lanshan was helpless with her. She and Suo Feihua stood nearby, watching Jiujiu play games with the group members.

Her childish voice drifted through the Starship. The laughter and joy along the way had all been brought by this child, giving some life to their lonely journey through the stars.

"Where did you find such a treasure? She's so lovable." Once Suo Feihua and Wei Lanshan became familiar with each other, their conversations grew much more casual. Suo Feihua's tone was especially curious now.

Wei Lanshan merely said, "I have some connection with her mother."

After saying that, Wei Lanshan seemed to fall into her memories. Seeing her expression, Suo Feihua knew it was likely an old story that had long been buried away. She gave Wei Lanshan some space and left for the command room.

Wei Lanshan sat to the side, watching Jiujiu chat with the Feihua Group members. Whenever she was happy, she smiled, deep dimples appearing in her cheeks as light reflected in those black eyes.

Wei Lanshan finished the nutritional fruit juice in her hand. The pain that flashed through her eyes went unnoticed by anyone.

When Jiujiu returned to her side, she said apologetically, "Aunt Lan, the brothers and sisters in Feihua are so enthusiastic. They gave me so many things, and I couldn't refuse them. Can you help me think of a way?"

Wei Lanshan quietly looked at her and stroked the swirl of hair atop her head. "No need. They gave them to you because they like you. If you return them, they'll be sad. If you truly want to repay them, then work hard to become stronger. Maybe someday, you'll be able to repay all these favors."

Jiujiu thought about it and felt that Wei Lanshan's words made sense. So the prerequisite was that she had to become strong.

Jiujiu did not neglect her training while with the Feihua Group either. She worked so hard that many group members felt ashamed of themselves.

Inspired by a child, a wave of training swept through the Feihua Group. By the end of the journey, the group's overall strength had actually risen by an entire level.

And so, the Team Leaders responsible for each department aboard the Starship began a more than ten-day journey of leveling up while raising a child.

Jiang Fuyu from the retreat team, Li Mingsha from logistics, Feng Shanshan from weapons, Sika from combat, Tian Nuolin from repairs, and Ximo from control—two days each.

By the time they finished a full rotation, they would arrive at the Muye Star System. These people patiently taught Jiujiu their moves and the skills they excelled in.

She memorized strategic deployment and many things she was unfamiliar with, intending to look up more information and reinforce her learning once she settled down.

Among them, Feng Shanshan, the weapons team's Team Leader, was a very cute girl. Whenever she caught Jiujiu, she kissed her fiercely, and Jiujiu had no way to refuse.

Pretending to be a child was so exhausting!

Feng Shanshan gave Jiujiu many little gadgets she had made herself, all lightweight weapons. She also gave Xi Xiu a long blade that she had personally forged.

Jiang Fuyu taught Jiujiu retreat strategies and passed on his own unique Martial Skill.

Their journey through the stars continued for another ten days, and the Feihua Group's Starship had entered the Muye Star System.

In another half day, they would reach Muye Star, which also meant that Wei Lanshan and the others would have to bid farewell to the Feihua Group.

The Suo sisters sincerely thanked Wei Lanshan and gave Wei Lanshan and Jiujiu a token. With this symbol, the two of them could come and go freely within the Feihua Group in the future.

Suo Feiyue also gave Jiujiu the Star Chart coordinates of the Feihua Group's home, telling her to remember to visit them there once she grew up.

Looking at that unfamiliar place on the Star Chart, Jiujiu had not expected Suo Feihua to reveal even such deeply guarded information to her.

Suo Feihua seemed to come from some secluded place, because Jiujiu had never heard anyone aboard the Starship mention the Suo sisters' origins.

So when Jiujiu saw that Suo Feihua had actually given her such an important star map, she was at a loss.

She looked at Suo Feihua. "Aunt Feihua, I... I can't accept this. It's too precious."

"Take it. When you grow up, if you still remember us, come visit if you get the chance." Suo Feihua did not mind.

Wei Lanshan also motioned for Jiujiu to accept it. "Take it. This is Feihua Group's goodwill."

After roaming the stars for so many years, they had always believed in fate.

Suo Feihua knew that after this parting, they would not be able to meet again for more than a decade. The sea of stars was so vast that the chance of encountering the same person again was very, very small.

That was why Suo Feihua had forcefully set the occasion for their next meeting.

Jiujiu could only thank them sweetly. Suo Feiyue also gave her a two-cubic-meter Space Locket filled with food, toys, and weapons.

Wei Lanshan spoke with Suo Feihua alone before parting. "Are you planning to retire after this, Feihua?"

"Yes. Feiyue and I discussed it. After this, we'll return to our old home in the depths of the starry sea and settle down there to enjoy a few years of peace."

Everyone actually longed for a peaceful life. They struggled in the sea of stars only because of unavoidable circumstances.
