While Xi Xiu stood there in a daze, the humanoid shape formed from Light Spots spoke in Anvile, a language she could understand. "Huh, this human female is awake."
After being discovered, the Light Spots did not immediately dissipate. Instead, they drifted closer and actually passed through the protective barrier Qing Zhixun had set up.
Seeing this, Xi Xiu frowned tightly, a lingering fear rising within her.
Fortunately, these lights had no ill intent. Otherwise, the two of them would have been dead beyond saving.
Xi Xiu cautiously spoke in Anvile as well. "May I ask who you are?"
Since these lights spoke Anvile's language, they had to still be within the Alliance's territory.
It was just that something here had blocked the communications signal, which was why she and Qing Zhixun had been unable to contact the Alliance.
As Xi Xiu spoke, Qing Zhixun also woke with a start.
He suddenly drew his weapon and stepped in front of Xi Xiu, staring at the humanoid figure warily.
"What is it?" Qing Zhixun asked Xi Xiu.
Xi Xiu shook her head. "I sensed them approaching. I had only just asked when you woke up."
Hearing Xi Xiu use the plural, Qing Zhixun narrowed his eyes at the creature before them, which had the same shape as they did, and realized that they had no physical form.
Light was merely a phenomenon.
Xi Xiu had clearly noticed that as well.
The Light Spots began chattering. "Does it matter who we are? We never asked who you were."
They were the masters here. These two had fallen in on their own, and they had only come to take a look. They absolutely refused to admit they were curious about humans!
Qing Zhixun was left speechless by the retort.
Clearly, he and Xi
