Background

Queen Medusa ruled the Snake People Tribe for centuries and established a fearsome reputation among the surrounding human empires. Ambitious for her people, she sought to lead them out of the Tagor Desert and restore their former glory; her desire to reach Dou Zong was tied directly to that goal 57 76.

Having acquired the Green Lotus Core Flame, Medusa prepared to use it in a dangerous evolution ritual. While Gu He and other human experts intruded upon Medusa Temple seeking the Heavenly Flame, she remained secluded on the temple island and committed herself to the attempt, despite knowing that conventional cultivation might never let her reach Dou Zong 57 58.

The evolution succeeded, transforming her into the Seven-Colored Heaven Swallowing Python. Her original soul was severely weakened and fell dormant, while a newly born Python soul initially controlled the body 60 61. Lu Chuan took the transformed Medusa from the Snake People Tribe to the Monster Beast Mountain Range, where she later awakened with hostility toward him 63 66 67.

After her soul was fully restored through the Soul Fusion Pill, Medusa immediately attempted to kill Lu Chuan. He defeated her, sealed her cultivation, and kept her within his cave mansion 73 74. Medusa is a strikingly beautiful Snake Person with a regal, seductive presence. Before her evolution, she commonly appeared in a purple brocade robe with a visible purple snake tail; after fully fusing with the Seven-Colored Heaven Swallowing Python, her tail became a pair of human legs 56 73.

Yet her severity is paired with responsibility toward her people; she risked her life to evolve for the tribe's future and surrendered a treasured cultivation technique rather than endanger them 57 77.
