Background / History

Seele was separated from Bronya during an orphanage experiment and spent an extended period trapped alone in a void-like space. A purple-pink light later broke into that space and swept her into an unfamiliar World Bubble resembling St. Freya Academy. 31

She initially regarded Bai Chen with suspicion when he recognized her and knew details of her past. Bai Chen gradually gained her trust by telling her about Bronya and stating that he intended to bring her home. 31

While in the World Bubble, Seele met its residents and remained focused on returning to Bronya. Black Seele objected to Seele’s attachment to Bronya, noting that her own consciousness had appeared shortly before Seele was swallowed by the Quantum Sea. 34

Bai Chen later returned Seele to St. Freya and gave her a communicator so she could contact Bronya. Unable to use it, Seele searched for Bronya herself and reunited with her, confirming that she had been rescued. 38 40

Appearance

Seele is a short-haired girl with black hair lined blue on the inside and sapphire-blue eyes. Bai Chen describes her eyes as resembling a shining sea. 31

Personality

Seele is soft-spoken, cautious, and initially reluctant to approach unfamiliar people. Despite Black Seele’s warnings about Bai Chen’s dangerous aura, Seele senses kindness in him and chooses to hear him out. 31

She is deeply attached to Bronya and reacts strongly to their separation. Upon returning to St. Freya, she immediately seeks Bronya out and thanks her for sending someone to rescue her. 40

A separate Seele encountered in Belobog is more outwardly assertive. She distrusts Bai Chen’s disguise at first, protects Lower District residents, and becomes angry when she learns that a child’s brother has entered the monster-filled Riveting Town alone. 83 84

She is protective of Lower District children and treats Riveting Town as an especially dangerous area because it has been consumed by the Great Rift and infested with monsters. 84

During the conflict with Svarog, she fights beside Bai Chen’s clones and the Astral Express group. She later learns that the White Seele, Black Seele, Bronya, and Natasha-like companions she had met were manifestations of Bai Chen’s clones rather than independent people. 99 105
