The Three Illusion Gods awakened with Xiao Xuan at age six as an unprecedented “Three Lives Martial Soul.” Their three forms—one dragon-like, one humanoid, and one divine bird-like—were immediately recognized as exceptionally rare, while Xiao Xuan also possessed Innate Full Spirit Power 1 2.

At first, the trio behaved largely as martial-soul phantoms. Their deeper nature emerged in the Star Dou Great Forest, where the Sky Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape regarded them with reverence and communicated with them directly. Xiao Xuan realized that the Three Illusion Gods contained incomplete but genuine intelligence and had been independently coordinating the absorption of his soul rings 47.

Their will strengthened over time. They began guiding Xiao Xuan toward targets, retrieving a soul beast's memories through Winged Dragon, and deciding for themselves which god should receive an absorbed ring. Xiao Xuan concluded that each absorption contributed to their awakening 100 101.

The turning point came in Slaughter City. The Three Illusion Gods were unaffected by the Asura Domain's suppression of soul skills, devoured divine remnants throughout Hell Road, and overwhelmed the Asura God's remaining divine sense.
