Background / History

Yu Xiaogang served as Tang San's master at Nuoding Academy. After encountering Xiao Xuan, he attempted to recruit the boy as his disciple, driven by an interest in the Three Illusion Gods Martial Soul. Xiao Xuan rejected and insulted him, creating a lasting personal grievance. 20 21

Following Tang San's defeat by Xiao Xuan, Tang Hao confronted Yu Xiaogang over Tang San's education. Tang Hao did not blame Xiao Xuan for the loss, but questioned whether Yu Xiaogang's reputation and teaching ability were deserved. 26

Yu Xiaogang learned that Xiao Xuan had entered Spirit Hall's Battle Team and had already reached Rank 29. He warned Tang San not to seek revenge, advising him to “endure” until he could surpass Xiao Xuan.
