• Zhao Zilong trained with Zi Nu and Yan Lingji, then told them he was reluctant to leave because he did not know whether he could take them with him.
• Nong Yu told Zhao Zilong and Zi Nu that Han Fei had been waiting for an hour, so they went to meet him with Yan Lingji.
• Han Fei asked Zhao Zilong to lend him Yan Lingji for one day after reporting that Tian Ze had killed a Qin envoy outside Xinzheng.
• Yan Lingji said she knew nothing about the killing, and Zhao Zilong promised that no one could harm her without his permission.

• Han Fei warned Zhao Zilong that Tian Ze was no longer constrained by the Gu poison and offered a Qin State official's promise to pardon Yan Lingji.

• Zhao Zilong read that his God Exam was 70% complete after killing Ji Wuye, while Jade Tiger called for the Imperial Guards to capture him.
• Zhao Zilong escaped the General's Mansion, ignored Mo Ya's warning that Nightfall would pursue him, and met Zi Nu and Yan Lingji.
• Zhao Zilong told Zhang Kaidi that Ji Wuye was dead and demanded that he make the general's crimes public before sunset.

• Tang Chen told Tang Hao to complete the God of Slaughter God Exam and help Tang San restore the Clear Sky Sect, and Tang Hao promised they would do so together.

After completing the Asura God First Trial and returning from another world, Zhao Zilong brought Yan Lingji and Zi Nu to a relay station near the Star Dou Great Forest, where he reunited with Yue Yao. He asked the Spirit Hall Grand Elder to help the two women awaken their Martial Souls.

• Zhao Zilong manifested his Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul and Fire Phoenix wings, then flew with Yan Lingji and Zi Nu to a nearby relay station.
• Yue Yao recognized Zhao Zilong and explained that she was hunting the Evil Soul Masters who had escaped Spirit Hall's recent campaign.

• Yue Yao declined to join Zhao Zilong, who led Yan Lingji and Zi Nu toward the Star Dou Great Forest to find their First Soul Rings.
• Zhao Zilong proposed that Yan Lingji and Zi Nu try thousand-year Soul Rings because of their mature, sturdy bodies, and they agreed to follow his advice.

As Yan Lingji began absorbing her ring, Yue Yao told Zhao Zilong that Emperor Xue Xing had unified the Heaven Dou Empire and that it would likely move against Spirit Hall.

• Zi Nu absorbed a thousand-year spirit ring, reached Soul Power level 13, and gained the soul skill Strangulation.
• Yue Yao arrived carrying a 1,200-year Golden Ring Fire Leopard and offered it for Yan Lingji to absorb.
• Yue Yao flirted openly with Zhao Zilong and said she would escort him back to Spirit City after Yan Lingji finished absorbing her ring.

After returning to Spirit City, Zhao Zilong kept Zi Nu and Yan Lingji outside Spirit Hall while they began their new lives as weak soul masters. He left them money and a token for protection, then warned Yue Yao not to interfere with them.

• Yan Lingji finished absorbing the Golden Ring Fire Leopard's soul ring and reached Soul Power level 13, matching Zi Nu.
• Yue Yao, Zhao Zilong, Zi Nu, and Yan Lingji traveled back to Spirit City on Yue Yao's Flame Eagle.

• Qian Renxue announced she would go to Sea God Island with Zhao Zilong, while Meng Yiran objected and Zhao Zilong said she could follow if she wished.
• Huo Wu and Hu Liena worried about leaving their one-year-old children, so Zhao Zilong agreed to travel without them and showed them his Sea God's Fifth Trial.

The group learned that Qian Renxue’s red trial required her to help Zhao Zilong complete the Sea God Fifth through Eighth Exams.
