Zhao Zilong tried to kill Ji Wuye, then joined Han Fei and Flowing Sand in the struggle over the kidnapped Crown Prince. Yan Lingji joined Zhao Zilong, while Flowing Sand and Tian Ze agreed to seek Bai Yifei’s Gu Mother, delaying Zhao Zilong’s plan to kill Ji Wuye.

• Zhao Zilong infiltrated Ji Wuye’s General’s Mansion, fought through its guards and White Bird assassins, and escaped after failing to kill Ji Wuye.
• Han Fei sheltered Zhao Zilong at Purple Orchid Pavilion, where Zhao Zilong told Zi Nu about his Spirit Hall identity and agreed not to implicate others in his feud with Ji Wuye.
• Zhao Zilong joined the effort to rescue the Crown Prince and defeated Yan Lingji at the south gate, then asked her to leave Tian Ze and follow him.
• Zhao Zilong fought Tian Ze and the Corpse Controller, spared them for Yan Lingji’s sake, and agreed to cooperate with Tian Ze against Ji Wuye before taking Yan Lingji away.
• Zhao Zilong agreed to help remove Tian Ze’s Gu poison, while Zi Nu recovered from her injuries after receiving a Ten Thousand Year Ginseng King from him.
• Wei Zhuang confronted Tian Ze and his followers, defeated them, and secured Hong Lian’s release in exchange for Flowing Sand’s help finding Bai Yifei’s Gu Mother.
• Yan Lingji returned to Purple Orchid Pavilion and began absorbing a Crimson Flame Fruit with Zhao Zilong’s guidance, while Zhao Zilong postponed killing Ji Wuye.

Zhao Zilong completed his first Asura God trial, killed Ji Wuye, and brought Zi Nu and Yan Lingji to Douluo Continent, where they awakened their Martial Souls. After completing his second trial and joining Spirit Hall’s imperial plans, Zhao Zilong led a group to Sea God Island, where its residents received assessments and Bo Saixi prepared his next trials.

• Zhao Zilong killed Ji Wuye, exposed his crimes, and completed the First Trial, earning permission to bring Zi Nu and Yan Lingji to Douluo Continent.
• Zhao Zilong defeated Wei Zhuang and Gai Nie, killed Yanri and three Luo Wang assassins, then took Zi Nu and Yan Lingji through a Space Wormhole to the Star Dou Great Forest.
• Yue Yao awakened Zi Nu’s Crimson Silk Soft Sword and Yan Lingji’s Fire Spirit Sword, and both women absorbed thousand-year Soul Rings to reach Soul Power level 13.
• Bibi Dong founded the Spirit Hall Empire and became Empress, while the elders chose Qian Renxue as first-in-line heir instead of Zhao Zilong.
• Zhao Zilong completed the Second Trial by killing one hundred Wolf Bandits, reached Soul Power rank 79, and received a Third Trial requiring a large-scale war and a thousand-man kill.
• Zhao Zilong gathered Qian Renxue, Yue Yao, Zi Nu, and Yan Lingji and traveled with them toward Sea God Island, where Tang San and Ma Hongjun also completed their trials.
• Seahorse Douluo accepted Zhao Zilong as the Sea God’s inheritor and invited his companions to receive assessments at the Sacred Pillar platform.
• Xiao Wu received Red Tier Seven Trials, Zi Nu and Yan Lingji received Purple Tier Three Trials, and Qian Renxue received a Red Tier One Trial, and Bo Saixi arrived to arrange Zhao Zilong’s next three trials.

Zhao Zilong completed the Sea God’s Sixth and Seventh Trials, defeated the Seven Sacred Pillars, and earned the Sea God’s Trident while growing closer to Qian Renxue. The Spirit Hall Empire then declared war, and Zhao led its first attack against the Heaven Dou Empire.

• Bo Saixi welcomed Zhao Zilong’s group to Sea God Island, granted him a God-Bestowed Spirit Ring, and Zhao raised it to a Hundred-Thousand-Year Spirit Ring.
• Tang San confronted Zhao Zilong over Xiao Wu, but Seahorse Douluo stopped the fight and Xiao Wu told Tang San that the soul in her revived body was not her.
• Zhao Zilong and Qian Renxue killed the Evil Orca King, completing Zhao’s Fifth Trial and earning rewards from the Sea God.
• After a year of preparation, Zhao Zilong and Qian Renxue challenged the Seven Sacred Pillars, defeating their guardians and passing the Sixth Trial.
• Zhao Zilong absorbed his trial reward and confessed his feelings to Qian Renxue, who admitted she had loved him for a long time.
• Bo Saixi tried to kill Zhao Zilong during the Seventh Trial, but he endured her attacks and passed her test.
• Zhao Zilong pulled the Sea God’s Trident free, completed the Seventh Trial, and received the Eighth Trial’s task of killing the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King.
• The Spirit Hall Empire declared war on the Heaven Dou Empire and the Star Luo Empire, and Zhao Zilong led one hundred thousand troops in its first attack on the Heaven Dou Empire.

Zhao Zilong and the Spirit Hall Empire defeated the Star Luo Empire, while Zhao Zilong advanced through the Asura God trials and hunted powerful soul beasts with Meng Yiran. The arc ended with the Star Luo Empire destroyed, Zhao Zilong reaching level 97, and Hu Liena confessing her feelings to Bibi Dong.

• Bibi Dong and Tang Chen clashed as the Spirit Hall and Star Luo armies faced each other, while Zhao Zilong returned to Jialing Pass and prepared to rejoin the war.
• Zhao Zilong and Qian Renxue fought Tang San and Tang Hao, with Zhao Zilong defeating Tang San and Qian Renxue killing Tang Hao.
• Bibi Dong's forces defeated the Star Luo defenders, Qian Daoliu killed Tang Chen, and the surviving Star Luo troops surrendered after Dai Yanlong and the other leaders died.
• Zhao Zilong drew the Asura Demon Sword, completed the Asura God's Fifth Trial, and received a Sixth Trial to unify the Douluo Continent within three years.
• Zhao Zilong and Meng Yiran traveled to the Star Dou Great Forest, where Zhao Zilong killed the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger and absorbed its Soul Ring.
• Zhao Zilong defeated three Qian Jun Ant Emperors and began absorbing their hundred-thousand-year Soul Rings as Meng Yiran guarded him.
• Bibi Dong declared the Spirit Hall Empire the continent's sole empire, and Hu Liena ordered the execution of the imprisoned Dai family and their loyalists.
• Hu Liena confessed her feelings to Bibi Dong and completed the God of Slaughter's second trial, while Zhao Zilong finished absorbing the ant emperors' Soul Rings, reached level 97, and accepted two Soul Bones from Meng Yiran.
