• Zhao Zilong gave Xiao Wu a Color-Changing Flower and Meng Yiran a Ten Thousand Year Soul Bone, then helped them defeat Bu Le and his companions before killing Shi Nian in an illusion.
• Zhao Zilong joined the Heaven Dou Royal Team for the preliminary rounds, where his black fourth spirit ring drew attention and the team defeated Elephant Armored Academy and Mars Academy.
• Zhao Zilong told Ning Fengzhi, Xue Qinghe, and their companions that Bo Saixi was his teacher and that he came from Sea God Island, then traded Godly Zhuge Crossbow blueprints for the Heart Separation Control technique.
• Zhao Zilong trained with Ning Rongrong, confessed his feelings, gave her a soul bone, and asked her to support him if Tang San or Yu Xiaogang became his enemy.

After gaining a second martial soul with dangerous evil fire, he became the focus of a rivalry between Meng Yiran and Huo Wu as the tournament continued.

Zhao Zilong became Bibi Dong’s secret disciple and led the Heaven Dou Royal Team to victory in the championship match. After Bibi Dong exposed Xiao Wu as a transformed soul beast and moved to capture her, Tang Hao arrived to defend Tang San.

• Huo Wu defeated Meng Yiran, but Zhao Zilong carried Meng Yiran away to be healed, and later Yu Tianheng defeated the remaining Blazing Fire Team members.
• Boulders wrecked part of the teams’ convoy, and Dugu Bo suspected Spirit Hall had targeted Tang San because of his father and twin Martial Souls.
• Zhao Zilong sparred with Qin Ming, who judged that his strength rivaled a Soul Emperor, while Bibi Dong recognized Tang San as the other Asura God inheritor and invited him to join Spirit Hall.
• Zhao Zilong accepted Bibi Dong as his teacher but kept their relationship secret until after the finals, and Bibi Dong ordered an investigation into Xiao Wu.

His visit to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect strained his relationships with Ning Rongrong and exposed him to assassination plots by the Heaven Dou Empire and the sect.

• Zhao Zilong left Spirit City with Huo Wu and Meng Yiran as Tang Hao fought Spirit Hall, escaped with Tang San and Xiao Wu, and sacrificed his right arm to remove the poison in his body.
• At the Star Dou Great Forest, Ghost Douluo and Flame Eagle Douluo attacked Tang Hao, but Er Ming drove them off and the Azure Bull Python sheltered Tang Hao, Tang San, and Xiao Wu.
• Zhao Zilong found Ah Yin’s grave, took the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone, and awakened his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline with the Blue Silver King’s help.
