Alliance with the Demon Race

Hunt for the Mystic Turtle

While traveling to Divine Light Mountain, Ruyue and Su Changqing encounter a late-Core-Formation Mystic Turtle. Ruyue uses water and sword arts to restrain and distract it, allowing Su Changqing to sever its head. She receives the creature’s demon core, while Su Changqing takes its shell 80 81.

Conflict with the Mad Lion Clan

At Divine Light Mountain, Ruyue watches Old Monster Frenzied Lion attempt to secure a marriage alliance between his son Shi Yu and Divine Light Fairy’s daughter. The appearance of a Tribulation Crossing Pill among his betrothal gifts threatens Ruyue’s own alliance strategy, intensifying her hostility toward him 83 84.

Pursuit and Death of Old Monster Frenzied Lion

With Divine Light Fairy’s tacit approval, Ruyue and Su Changqing pursue Frenzied Lion and Shi Yu at sea.
