A year later, Bai Yujun returned to the rift's exit.
Gan Wu had already been waiting for several days.
The relaxed, content expression on his face showed that he had been quite satisfied with the past year. The surging sword intent around him felt thoroughly invigorated, so he had presumably improved again. Ye Zi and the other immortal cultivators were curiously exploring near the rift, doing their best to see whether they could survive in the chaos.
She drifted lightly to Gan Wu's side. The dragon spear circled a few times before landing on her wrist and transforming back into the Black Bracelet.
Gan Wu, who had been meditating atop the hard Dust Cloud, opened his eyes.
"Junior Sister, you're back. How did it go?"
Bai Yujun shook her head.
"I didn't find those dragons, but I found traces left behind after the universe was moved."
At those words, Gan Wu and Ye Zi's group were instantly intrigued. To them, this was a rare opportunity to learn.
Bai Yujun first used a spell to simulate the traces. They were exceedingly obscure; Ye Zi and the others could not sense them at all. Only after staring for a long while did Gan Wu notice something, reaching a helpless conclusion: in the chaos, one could pass right beside them and still have difficulty discovering them.
"I don't know how large that universe was, and its departure was far too long ago. Sigh, I only hope those dragons left along with it."
Gan Wu had no good ideas either. Only after a short year of exploration had he learned just how boundless the chaos truly was.
After a moment of silence, he picked up a gourd and handed it to Bai Yujun.
"These are the Spoils of War Junior Sister wanted."
Bai Yujun
