Background / History

Mo Shi was born in a small village on the outskirts of the White Spirit Empire. Her mother died giving birth to her, and when Mo Shi was six, a demon massacred her village while she was away on a mountain; every relative she had was killed. A black-robed White Spirit Empire Academy instructor later found the near-dead child, saved her, recognized her talent, and took her as a disciple. 165

Misfortune repeatedly struck people around her. At twelve, her first master suffered Deviated Cultivation during a breakthrough, killed those nearby, and passed his inheritance to Mo Shi before dying. A golden-robed instructor became her second master, but he was killed years later by an Extreme Spirit Beast during an Inner Court trial in Savage Beast Mountain. Vice Dean Wang Ge saved Mo Shi as the sole survivor. 165

Her history gave rise to the feared title “Lone Star of Misfortune.” Students avoided her, and alliances rejected her despite her willingness to help, leaving her isolated at the academy. 165
