Overview

The Primordial Continent is a vast cultivation world containing empires, ancient battlefields, secret realms, forbidden lands, and the continent-level Primordial Dao Field. The Ten Great Holy Domains and the Immortal Emperor Palace are described as the Primordial Universe’s core domains and representatives of its combat power. 567 763

Its cultivation limit historically stood at the Tribulation Crossing Stage: cultivators who successfully underwent tribulation would ascend to the Ten Great Holy Domains and normally could not return. 549 Following the Apocalypse, the Immortal Gate opened above Azure Cloud Dao Palace, allowing Tribulation Crossing Realm cultivators to travel to the Holy Domains without first ascending. 749

The Five Forbidden Lands were ancient battlefields where Spirits, Immortals, and Primordial Fierce Beasts fought until the heavens and earth fractured. Residual power from those conflicts continued to endanger all who entered. 701

The Primordial Continent is protected by supreme Imperial Rule and Immortal Emperor Laws. When the Crystal Phoenix Supreme Being attempted to force entry, the Imperial Rule manifested as Great Emperor-level might and wounded it severely. 741

The Imperial Rule can directly kill intruders attempting to cross the continental boundary, as seen when the Qi Qiong Imperial Son was annihilated before entering. 744 However, following the suppression of a Supreme Being, the Immortal Emperor’s laws became comparatively lenient toward beings below the immortal level, enabling waves of outer-realm monsters to invade. 742

Ancient Era

In the Ancient Era, the Primordial Continent was strategic territory fought over by numerous supreme beings. The catastrophic battles devastated native life and left behind the five great Forbidden Lands. 701

Ghost God Mountain preserves traces of the Deities who once ruled the continent, although the Deities themselves had disappeared by the present era. 488

The Former Primordial Continent

A much older Primordial Continent once stood at the center of the Primordial Universe. The Primordial Universe’s failed attempt at self-ascension inflicted immense wounds that swallowed that former continent into those wounds. 850

This former continent became the Dark Continent, located deep within the Immortal Burial Abyss and serving as the ancestral land of the Abyssal Demon Race. It bears scars from Great Emperor-level battles that shattered its lands, laws, space, time, and Great Dao. 850 983

Cataclysm and Apocalypse

Disasters emerged across the continent, including zombie mutations in the south, demon-race mutations in the west, sea-monster mutations in Canghai, and spiritual-vein mutations in the Eastern Land. 654

The crisis escalated when the Carefree Great Emperor proclaimed his intention to reopen the heavens. The Five Forbidden Lands awakened, releasing ancient monsters that rapidly destroyed nearby empires. The Purple Star Empire designated the catastrophe as an Apocalypse-level disaster, meaning the continent faced a high probability of destruction. 721 722

The continent’s allied forces ultimately defeated the Divine Mechanism Immortal and suppressed the chaos across the Five Forbidden Lands. The victory required immense sacrifice, including the deaths of millions of cultivators and numerous prominent Heavenly Chosen. 746

Recovery and Reopening

After the Apocalypse, the Primordial Continent entered a period of recuperation. The monsters of the Five Forbidden Lands were exterminated or forced back into their territories. 747 748

The Immortal Gate subsequently opened above Azure Cloud Dao Palace, formally reconnecting the continent with the Ten Great Holy Domains. 749

Primordial Heavenly Dao Mutation

Much later, the Primordial Heavenly Dao underwent a mutation and attempted an ultimate sublimation. Dao lights erupted from locations including Canghai, Ghost God Mountain, Supernatural Forest, Nine Layered Prison, Undying God Valley, and Azure Cloud Dao Palace. 983

An Immortal Emperor’s law severed the connection between the Primordial Continent and the Primordial Universe’s supreme Heavenly Dao, causing the Dao lights to dissipate. The phenomenon then appeared on the Dark Continent instead. 983
