The Beauxbatons delegation did not deliberate for long before they all headed toward the Gryffindor table.
Pheobe and Gabrielle walked at the front. Vincent hurriedly rose to his feet and gestured for Neville and the others to shift over and make room.
Pheobe tugged down the scarf that nearly covered her entire face, stepped forward, and opened her arms to hug him. "Long time no see, Vincent."
Her fair cheek pressed against the side of his face. "Surprised? You must have guessed we would be coming, didn't you?"
Vincent leaned forward slightly and pressed his cheek to hers, his hands resting lightly on her back. "I only guessed you, Pheobe."
After a French cheek-kiss greeting, the two quickly separated.
Vincent looked down at Gabrielle, who was standing on tiptoe with her arms open toward him. "I didn't expect you to be here too, Gabrielle."
After another French cheek-kiss greeting, Gabrielle finally let go reluctantly. "I saw the news. Those bad people didn't hurt you, did they?"
Vincent raised his strong arm and clenched his hand into a fist. "My luck has always been good. They were hurt much worse than I was."
Gabrielle beamed. "That's wonderful! Can you tell me how you drove them away?"
"Of course." Vincent pulled out the chair Neville had vacated.
Gabrielle obediently sat down on it, looking at him with eager anticipation.
Pheobe was not left out either. Hermione took her hand and led her to a seat across from them.
The rest of the Beauxbatons students were not neglected either. The Little Lions gave them a warm welcome.
Under Ron's yearning gaze, the Durmstrang delegation finally began to move.
Viktor walked at the front, his eyes fixed on the Gryffindor table the entire time.
