At noon,
The students' brawl in the Great Hall was finally brought under control with the Aurors' full intervention.
A simple and forceful intervention naturally provoked conflict. Malfoy and several other pure-blood young masters shouted that they would go home and tell their parents, that they would make certain Big Dummy Aurors pay.
This included Wales, who had personally pinned Draco to the floor.
"Big Dummy! You'll be receiving countless letters of complaint!"
They could not afford to provoke Wayne or Granger, but dealing with some insignificant Auror should have been easy.
Yet Draco's shouting not only failed to earn him any special treatment; it even made Wales press down harder.
Apart from these few exceptions, most of the students obediently stood in line to receive their scolding.
Hermione was far too conspicuous at her current height. McGonagall spotted her at once as she tried to hide.
"Miss Granger, I hear you were the cause of all this?"
Sigh... I still couldn't escape it in the end.
"Yes and no." Hermione blinked her large eyes pitifully. "If Pansy hadn't said that..."
McGonagall stared fixedly at her completely uninjured little face. "What did she say?"
"She... she said something awful."
Seeing the furious Little Lions around her, McGonagall understood that nothing pleasant could have come from Pansy's mouth.
"Miss Granger, go back and write me a detailed self-criticism."
"Yes, Professor." Hermione let out a sigh of relief.
This act of playing dumb really did work. Snape was probably the only one who would not fall for it.
McGonagall walked over to Pansy, whose face was covered in bruises.
She still dared glare at Hermione. Clearly, she had not learned her lesson yet.
"Miss Parkinson, I will not pursue this matter further, but you will write me a seven-foot-long self-criticism."
Heh... Such
