Bagman narrowed his eyes as he sized up Ferdie the goblin standing before him.
The patterns on that resplendent golden suit of armor flowed with a peculiar magic, seemingly capable of allowing its wearer to pass through magical barriers unhindered.
"Ferdie, our cooperation ends here. Go back and tell Taber for me."
Bagman moved past Ferdie, but the goblin reached out and blocked his path.
"Ludo, do you think Goblins Hall is something you can cooperate with whenever you please and cut ties with whenever you please?"
"Oh?" Bagman's gaze held a trace of disdain. "Let me remind you, this is Ministry of Magic territory."
Ferdie wore the same disdainful expression. "What is so impressive about a place where Death Eaters can come and go freely?"
Though it had to look up at him, its bulging eyes were imposing and full of menace. "Our influence spans the entire world. What does one British Ministry of Magic amount to?"
Bagman burst out laughing as though he had heard an especially amusing joke.
Ferdie's expression instantly turned cold. "Is that funny? Ludo, I suggest you figure out your place quickly, lest in the end—"
"Lest what?" Bagman swiftly drew his wand and pointed it at the goblin's long, sharp nose protruding from its helmet. "A pack of lowly creatures unfit for polite society dares threaten me?"
Ferdie stared into his eyes in terror.
There seemed to be a savage beast hidden within them, as if it might burst from its cage and pounce on the goblin at any moment.
"Ludo... you..."
"Get lost." Bagman put away his wand. "In a few days, I'll personally pay your chairman a visit."
Ferdie blankly watched his retreating figure grow farther and farther away, apparently having been successfully intimidated.
"In a few more days, we'll finally
