Dragon Vein Consciousness (Please Bookmark and Recommend)

"All right!"

Kakashi nodded.

"Good, fall back first!"

Gengetsu nodded and immediately retreated toward the ground with Kakashi. But just as the two moved, the water binding Anrokuzan exploded with a boom. Then one of the puppet's hands shot out, heading straight for Gengetsu's main body!

"So fast!"

Gengetsu was startled. He raised a hand and threw a punch, colliding with the puppet's crushing fist. With a clang, Gengetsu was sent flying like a cannonball and smashed into a pile of ruins.

"Gengetsu!"

Kakashi cried out and turned back.

"I'm fine, retreat... cough, cough!"

In the rubble, Gengetsu coughed up blood. "Too strong. It actually surpassed my strength!"

"Go!"

Kakashi helped Gengetsu up and rushed outward. At the same time, Gengetsu's four Shadow Clones pressed their palms together. Wind and water merged around them as four enormous Hard Vortex Water Dragons spun madly, squeezing Anrokuzan in the center from all sides.

Crack!

Anrokuzan's enormous puppet body finally could not withstand the pressure and began to split apart. Kakashi glanced back, his heart shaking. "What kind of technique is that? It's incredible!"

"This is a fusion Ninja Art of Wind Release and Water Release—Hard Vortex Water Dragon!"

Gengetsu explained voluntarily, then grinned mischievously. "Want to learn it? I can teach you."

Kakashi froze for a moment, then sincerely said, "Thank you, but I haven't mastered the nature transformations of Wind Release and Water Release yet!"

"Then what a pity!"

Gengetsu sighed, suddenly finding it rather dull. Kakashi was no fun at all. Shouldn't he have eagerly declared that he would work hard to learn it? Uchiha Shinsui had much more sense!

By then, the two had returned to the ground. Gengetsu closed his eyes and activated the Mind's Eye of the Kagura. The Exploding Tags Kakashi had planted below immediately appeared within his perception. Gengetsu had personally made those Exploding Tags; even from such a distance, with the Mind's Eye of the Kagura, he could still sense them.

"Explode!"

Gengetsu raised one hand, and the earth immediately began to shake violently. Continuous explosions erupted where the puppet factory stood. The ground collapsed over a vast area, tower after tower toppled, and Anrokuzan was buried directly beneath the earth.

In the distance, Choza Akimichi and Aburame Shibi watched from afar. The former could not help sighing. "The younger generation these days is truly frightening!"

"Yes, Gengetsu is outstanding. He's not inferior to Minato back then at all!"

Aburame Shibi nodded in agreement.

"But we can't lose to them either!"

Choza Akimichi laughed. Aburame Shibi pushed up his glasses. "Indeed. We're still quite young ourselves!"

Before the ruins, Gengetsu watched Dragon Vein Energy fall from the air and sighed inwardly. Even this can only delay things for a while!

"Let's withdraw. Our mission is complete!"

Gengetsu said to Kakashi.

"Huh?"

Kakashi did not understand.

Gengetsu spread his hands helplessly. "We can't take all the glory for ourselves, can we?"

Then the head of Anrokuzan's massive puppet body emerged, followed by countless light bullets that shot out and engulfed the two as they were flung into the air.

Aburame Shibi extended a hand. A vast swarm of insects surged forth like a dark cloud, restricting the puppet's movements in the blink of an eye. Then he formed hand seals. "Ninja Art, Insect Deception Technique!"

Chakra insects rose into the air, surrounding and enveloping the puppet.

"Monster, you're finished. My insects will drain every last bit of your Chakra!"

Aburame Shibi said coolly. Then he lowered his hand. "Choza, I'll leave the rest to you!"

"Leave it to me!"

Choza Akimichi stepped forward, taking out a specially made Soldier Pill and tossing it into the air. Then he leaped up and swallowed it. His entire body rapidly expanded, and in the blink of an eye, he transformed into a giant, tossing Anrokuzan's puppet body away with just a few moves.

"All right!"

Aburame Shibi was greatly invigorated, but his expression immediately changed. A huge amount of Dragon Vein Energy descended and was absorbed by Anrokuzan's puppet body.

"Such powerful Chakra—even my insects can't drain it all!"

"At this level of Chakra, you can absorb as much as you want!"

Anrokuzan burst into laughter. With his Chakra amplified, his puppet body transformed once more, sprouting even more blades.

"Puppet Spinning Strike!"

Anrokuzan's enormous puppet body spun at high speed, its countless blades forming one whirling windmill after another. They scraped the ground bare, stirred waves three meters high, sent sand and stones flying, and hurled shattered rocks through the air. Choza Akimichi and Aburame Shibi were swept away before they could strike again.

"Sara, don't even think about reaching the Dragon Vein Seal Site!"

Anrokuzan roared as he gave furious chase.

A moment later, Gengetsu woke amid a field of ruins. He shoved aside the rubble pinning him down, then saw Kakashi supporting Yamato.

"Gengetsu, are you all right?" Kakashi asked hurriedly.

"I'm fine!" Gengetsu shook his head and pushed himself up. He then found the injured Choza Akimichi and Aburame Shibi, treated everyone's wounds, and only then set off again.

However, when they reached the Dragon Vein Seal Site, they happened to see Minato and Naruto simultaneously unleash Spiral Spheres, forming a dazzling and powerful Yin-Yang Spiral Sphere.

Now that's the kind of treatment a main character should get! Gengetsu thought sourly, then sighed with some regret. "The Yin-Yang Spiral Sphere can only be performed with Chakras of similar natures. I'm afraid it'll become a lost art..."

"No, this may be the first time, but it won't be the last!" Gengetsu gritted his teeth.

Gengetsu suddenly looked toward Sara, who was severing the Dragon Vein Energy, and his heart jolted. That is... the Dragon Vein actually has consciousness!

"So that's it!"

Recalling the process of sealing the Dragon Vein Energy, he understood at once. Anrokuzan used the Dragon Vein Energy on such a massive scale without any problems. Cold sweat broke out across Gengetsu's back. No wonder no one has ever used the Dragon Vein Energy to make weapons like they did with Tailed Beasts, despite it existing for so long. This thing is probably even more terrifying than a Tailed Beast. The Dragon Vein is connected to the earth and can endlessly draw upon the earth's Natural Energy. Its power is virtually inexhaustible. Other than the Ten-Tails, the other Tailed Beasts probably can't compare.

But how did this Dragon Vein come into being?

And where did the Queen of Roran's inheritance come from, that it could actually suppress the Dragon Vein?

Question after question surfaced in his mind. Gengetsu silently shook his head and suppressed his doubts. Looking at the Dragon Vein Energy, which was beginning to spiral out of control because of Anrokuzan, he felt a growing sense of unease. There's probably a portion of the Dragon Vein Consciousness inside me as well!
