"Exactly, that was what I meant, Master Herlam."
Lynn nodded, swept his gaze over everyone present, then turned the newspaper before him halfway around and pushed it toward them.
"I wonder if you have read this week's Magic Weekly. Legendary Wizard Harov proposed that gravity might exist universally within all objects, rather than merely on the continent beneath our feet."
As he said this, Lynn could not help feeling a little moved. Only after reading the other man's "paper" in Magic Weekly had he realized—wasn't this the initial concept of the Law of Universal Gravitation?
He just did not know how far this Legendary Wizard had taken his research... whether he had already formulated the Law of Universal Gravitation, or whether he understood the essence of gravity...
In any case, this was perfect proof for his own theory. According to the paper, gravity was not merely a downward pulling force; it affected everything around it and might even spread out, warping space.
"Lord Harov's argument is indeed brilliant and impossible to refute, but using that alone as evidence to completely reject the flat-earth theory is still not quite convincing enough," Herlam said thoughtfully. In truth, after reading the manuscript, he had become even more inclined to believe that the flat-earth theory was wrong.
But Herlam also knew that this was a theory capable of shaking the Land of Wizards' entire understanding of the world. It was easy to imagine the scale of the controversy it would provoke if published in Magic Weekly, so he had no choice but to be cautious.
"I have looked over your Star Chart. The theories of rotation and revolution mentioned there are also quite interesting. How about this? I will send this theory to several Great Wizards with notable accomplishments in gravitational research. If they
