Background

Lynn awakened after transmigrating into the body of Carl, a hunted Wizard Apprentice in a world ruled in part by the Holy See. Fascinated by magic rather than paralyzed by its existence, he immediately approached it as a subject for analysis and experimentation. His early survival depended on Carl’s memories, a short sword, and the assistance of an intelligent system designated 071. 2 5

During his escape from witch hunters, Lynn discovered that 071 could enter an overload state and vastly enhance his elemental control. He used oxygen manipulation to suffocate Andre, then killed him with a precise sword strike before engaging Blainey with magic. The experience established both the utility and the energy cost of the system’s assistance. 5

Lynn chose the Land of Wizards as a refuge because it valued magic and knowledge rather than Holy See doctrine. He travelled across the Sea of Mists with Joanne, White Dove, and Laud’s group, eventually arriving at Ieyeta Harbor under the cover identity of a scholar from the Secret Magic Society and Coru’s friend. 12 46 55

At Iyetar Academy, Lynn founded the Mathematics Department and became its Advanced Mathematics professor. His unconventional lessons used practical problems, public challenges, and difficult concepts such as exponential growth and square roots to demonstrate mathematics as a tool for understanding reality. 61 63 70

Personality

Lynn is analytical, skeptical, and strongly evidence-driven. He habitually reduces magical phenomena to measurable principles, whether investigating a murder through shoe size, proving continental rotation with a pendulum, or challenging the belief that objects possess inherent color. 82 140 317

He is calm under pressure and willing to deceive stronger opponents when direct confrontation is unwise. He infiltrated Ladak as an apprentice, feigned incapacitation against North, and seized Herlam’s Virtual Domain during their confrontation. 96 122 125

His pragmatism can become ruthless when he considers stability or security at stake. He branded Doral with a lethal Flame Mark to secure his loyalty, ordered the removal of irreconcilable enemies from William’s forces, and personally killed King Hattar after extracting his memories. 251 464

Despite this severity, Lynn invests heavily in education, research, and social development. He mentors apprentices and craftsmen, supports promising research even when it disproves its creators’ conclusions, and advocates making wizardhood accessible through knowledge rather than inherited talent. 66 118 318 504

Abilities & Skills

Intelligent System 071

Lynn’s intelligent system provides analysis, computational assistance, and status evaluations. Its overload mode can sharply increase his elemental control and processing ability, but rapidly drains its energy. 5 213

  • Enhances calculation-heavy spellcasting and elemental mimicry through the Magic Net. 125 242
  • Tracks physical activity, Magic Power Scale, Mental Power Rating, and Spell Slots. 213
  • Can overload Lynn’s mental processing beyond his normal ring level, though this previously caused severe strain. 428
  • Cannot reliably decipher every mental fluctuation; Monroe’s mind resisted its decryption. 471

Elemental Magic and Material Analysis

Lynn’s earliest magical foundation is material analysis and elemental manipulation. He combines conventional spellcasting with scientific understanding of chemistry and physical processes. 2 5

  • Uses [Basic Material Deconstruction], [Water Condensation], and [Mage Hand] as foundational Zero-Ring magic. 2
  • Casts offensive spells including [Fireball], [Blade of Ice], [Magic Missile], and [Magic—Barrage]. 2 12 122
  • Developed destructive white-phosphorus spells, including [White Phosphorus—Flame Demon Hand]. 97 122
  • Created [Undying Flame] through [Advanced Material Deconstruction]. 339
  • Uses scientific materials and reactions to develop specialized weapons and spells, including chlorine trifluoride-based “Hellfire.” 338

Psionics, Transformation, and Soul Techniques

Lynn learned and adapted forbidden Psionics alongside conventional magic, using it for infiltration, combat, memory retrieval, and remote projection. 97 122

  • Uses [Magic Transformation] to alter his outward appearance for disguises. 30
  • Infiltrated Ladak’s operation under the identity of the apprentice Themis. 92 96
  • Countered animated Psionic Guards and created a distorted [Summon Sphinx] during his fight with North. 122
  • Retrieved North’s memories after defeating him. 122
  • Uses split-soul and projection methods for long-distance deployment through Rings of Secret Magic. 410 554

Force Field and Spatial Magic

Lynn developed force-field magic after studying Herlam’s [Deflection Field]. His spatial spells are highly destructive but often costly in Magic Power. 125 183

  • [Lesser Deflection Field] protected him from Herlam’s fire and frost spells. 163
  • [Spatial Vibration Wave] produces spatial ripples that can slice steel puppets within three meters and distort more distant targets. 183
  • The spell consumes roughly 60% of his Magic Power at his Three-Ring stage and affects targets indiscriminately within its range. 183
  • Uses [High-level Projection Technique] and [Deflection Field] as Fourth-ring magic. 213
  • Later enhanced his legendary [Deflection Field] mastery enough to defend an avatar against large-scale divine attacks. 492

Electromagnetism and Scientific Warfare

Lynn applies mathematics and physics to combat magic, industrial development, and military doctrine. 117 242 245

  • Learned Thunder Magic through electrotherapy and combined it with magnetism to improve [Iron Sand Storm]. 242
  • Developed electromagnetic weapons, including [Electromagnetic Cannon] and the [Electromagnetic Railgun]. 298 335
  • Used a Faraday Cage to neutralize Anthony’s [Thunder Strike]. 339
  • Organized firearm corps around strict formations, disciplined volleys, artillery, and magical support. 245
  • Developed airships, fighter jets, generators, electric lighting, and electromagnetic cannons with Iyetar’s workshops. 67 278 298 379

Divine and High-Dimensional Power

After reaching Legendary status and later completing his Godhood Ritual, Lynn began manipulating divine power, high-dimensional matter, and fundamental physical laws. 484 554 630

  • Constructed a Magic Power and Energy Body during his Legendary advancement. 482 483
  • Used [End-Atomic Breath] to destroy Cynthia’s bronze door and avatar during her Divine Descent. 484
  • Connected to continent-wide Magic Power base stations through rune spheres containing split portions of his soul. 554
  • Controlled Element Seven, a four-dimensional hypercube-like substance with a mass of 100 tons. 630
  • Altered quantum laws across thousands of kilometers to collapse attacks launched across different times and dimensions. 693

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Short sword and long sword — Lynn’s early weapons while still unable to match Holy See witch hunters in direct swordsmanship. 5 12
  • [Basic Magic Compendium] — Given by Joanne; contains foundational magic, [Magic Missile], and formulas for improving it. 12
  • Ring of the Faceless — A durable ring recovered from Ladak’s remains; enables participation in Faceless gatherings and is connected to Coru. 101 118
  • [Corona Medal] — Carries the one-use Sixth-ring defensive spell [Vittorio’s Barrier]. 183
  • [Heins’s High-Grade Potion] — Rapidly replenishes Magic Power after high-cost spellcasting. 183
  • Rune spheres — Created by melting down Corona Medals; used to connect Lynn’s Godhood Ritual to Magic Power base stations across the continent. 554
