Not Everyone Is Suited for Cram School
In the luxurious hall, Aaron Petting Dragon while enduring the scrutinizing gazes of the Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy.
How should I put it?
Jeans was smarter than I thought, and eliminated many interfering factors.
He would never have imagined I would come to the Malfoy Manor, at least not yet.
Aaron was quite certain of his guess; Jeans had watched him grow up and knew him even better than his parents did.
He can formulate the most efficient search plan in the shortest amount of time and implement it quickly.
However, Jeans was unaware that he possessed Invisibility Potion, allowing him to exploit the Ministry of Magic's prohibition against underage Warlock using magic in the Muggle world, enabling him to escape to a location more than a week away within half an hour.
Errors in intelligence can greatly affect his judgment, so it's always good to have some trump cards up your sleeve; otherwise, he probably wouldn't even be able to find a place to stay right now.
Lucius placed his coat on the hanger and sat down opposite Aaron. "I really don't understand why you ran away from home."
"Aaron's family has arranged tutoring for him," Draco interjected. "Just look at his hands."
The Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy looked over at the same time, and Aaron also opened his arms in response.
The couple were astonished to see their hands covered in calluses, but they managed to control their emotions and didn't show it.
"This is simply abuse."
Anyone who suffers such injustice would want to run away.
"Don't talk nonsense," Lucius interrupted his son. "Some families have relatively unique ways of raising their offspring."
"Even if it's special, we can't go this far!"
"Draco." Lucius glanced at him expressionlessly, and Draco could clearly sense the anger simmering beneath the surface. He reluctantly shut his mouth.
"This is their family matter, and it's none of our business to interfere," Narcissa explained softly, then looked at Aaron. "Logically speaking, we should inform your parents, since they would be very worried about you running away from home."
"That's not necessary. My parents are always very busy, and they rarely come back even on holidays."
Narcissa frowned. "Then you..."
"I was taken care of by the Butler Jeans when I was young, and this has been going on for many years," Aaron said nonchalantly. "Uncle Lucius should have met me; he was the one who picked me up at the station when I was on vacation."
"Do your parents know you suffered this kind of injustice during your vacation?" Lucius asked. "I think if they knew what happened to you, they would definitely be heartbroken and rush back."
"That's not necessarily true." Aaron shook his head with a wry smile. "Those classes were arranged for me by them. It's part of the family's tradition. Jeans wouldn't dare to make decisions on his own."
Lucius opened his mouth upon hearing this, seemingly wondering why the Hidden Clans had been able to survive for so long.
They attach great importance to the education of the next generation, and have even incorporated it into their ancestral precepts.
With this in mind, Lucius turned his attention to Draco, thinking he could learn from other families' methods of raising heirs.
If the son's suffering can guarantee the family's glory, then it's definitely worth every penny!
Draco couldn't help but shiver and gave his the Mother a pleading look.
Narcissa immediately patted Lucius's arm under the table and then shook her head slightly at him.
Lucius understood his wife's meaning and regretfully abandoned his idea.
There's a difference between other people's children and your own. If Draco had the talent of Aaron, it wouldn't be a big deal to enroll him in a few tutoring classes.
The problem is that he doesn't have that talent, so we can't just copy Aaron's training methods.
"Aaron, you've really given us a tough time!" Narcissa said, somewhat exasperated. "If we don't send you back, your Butler will probably be worried sick."
But we can't bear to send you back; after all, anyone would feel sorry for you seeing those calloused hands.
"Thank you for your concern, Auntie."
In fact, the situation is not that serious.
Jeans knew very well that I wouldn't do anything I wasn't sure of, and I think his haste was probably because he cared about his reputation, since I had run away right under his nose.
This is his dereliction of duty. If he wants to save face, he needs to find me before the start of the semester. Aaron chuckled. "I left him a note before I left, explaining that I didn't disappear by accident or get kidnapped, but just came out to relax."
Rather than a meticulously planned runaway, it was more like a game.
"I won, so I don't have to attend the remaining three days of classes. I lost, so I have to go back to class obediently."
Upon hearing this, Lucius and Narcissa exchanged glances, but secretly felt a great sense of relief.
If Aaron left a note for Jeans, then it's not a big problem; at most, it's just a prank, and the Malfoy family can take him in.
"That's so cool."
"Draco, do you think running away from home is cool?" Narcissa glared at her son, her eyes full of warning.
"I was just making a simple remark; I assure you I didn't have that thought."
"That would be best."
Aaron's running away from home was a desperate act of rebellion, but you know very well how Lucius and I have treated you.
"If you dare to play like this, we will definitely teach you a lesson you will never forget," Lucius said calmly, then looked at Aaron, "You can stay here in peace, your Aunt Narcissa and I will not complain to your family."
"That's great!" Draco said excitedly, happy that he could help Aaron.
"But..." Lucius changed the subject, "If Jeans really comes knocking on our door, then..."
"I won't make things difficult for you," Aaron said immediately. "Uncle Lucius, Aunt Narcissa, and Draco, you just need to pretend you don't know anything."
Aaron Gaius's visit to the Malfoy Manor was purely a personal matter; Malfoy was completely unaware of his running away, so everything is fine.
Lucius paused for a moment, then praised, "You're really smart."
"Thank you for the compliment."
"I'll go arrange a room for Aaron right away."
"Don't rush, leave this small matter Dobby." Lucius said to Draco meaningfully, "I think you should first understand the difference between your vacation and Aaron's, compare what he did, and what you did."
"Oh, this..."
Draco was about to make an excuse when Narcissa gave him a look that made him sit back down.
Do I really have to say it?
"Aaron, I don't mean to be rude, but Draco really wasted his vacation."
He needs a role model to inspire him to keep going.
"Uncle Lucius, I don't think I should be the benchmark," Aaron said awkwardly. "After all, I just ran away from home and even went to a friend's house to ask for shelter."
"On the contrary, it is your skill to be able to leave home and escape the pursuit in a short time to reach Malfoy Manor, which is hundreds of kilometers away from Diagon Alley."
Draco, don't you think so?
"Yes!" Draco replied dejectedly, "Of course!"
"Aaron, I have my own selfish reasons for making this impolite request," Lucius said. "Draco is more talented than me, and I want him to have a better future. Perhaps you can tell me what kind of tutoring class I should enroll him in."
"Father, shouldn't we... reconsider this carefully?" Draco was a little flustered; he didn't want to end up with calluses on his hands like Aaron.
"No need to think about it." Lucius completely disregarded his son's opinion, simply stating, "People stronger than you are still working hard, what reason do you have not to work hard?"
"Draco, you don't need to worry."
"Even if we enroll you in classes, we will respect your opinion and won't let you suffer any injustice," Narcissa comforted her.
"You will protect him."
"He's my son. If I don't protect him, who will I protect?" Narcissa glanced at Lucius, then looked at Draco with some affection. "Your father's love for you is no less than mine, which is why he has such high expectations for you."
Draco nodded solemnly upon hearing this. "Father, I will certainly not let you down."
Seeing that the family of three had almost finished talking, Aaron said helplessly, "You have to promise me you'll keep the tonnage."
"Yes, yes, it's a piece of cake," Draco immediately assured, patting his chest.
"Also, let me make this clear beforehand: some courses are related to family machinery, and I can't tell you about them."
"I understand," Lucius said. "You just need to tell us about the unimportant part."
"Alright!" Aaron shrugged, then started counting on his fingers. "The tutoring classes start the day after the holidays begin. The specific content includes swordsmanship, medicine, art, musical instruments, botany, history, driving, lip reading, cooking, and alcohol tolerance..."
"Wait, that's enough, stop talking."
"Let me calm down first." Draco wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. "Just how many classes has your family arranged for you?"
"Um... to be more precise, twenty-nine doors."
Draco staggered and almost lost his balance, Lucius and Narcissa were also completely stunned.
No wonder Aaron ran away from home. With the number 29 pressing down on him, who the hell could withstand it?
"Draco," Lucius murmured, "I take back what I just said. Tutoring classes and such might not be suitable for you."
"Thank you, Father." Draco breathed a sigh of relief. "I... I think so too."
