A Visit or Taking Shelter
Abei flew at high speed for nearly half an hour, and when he saw an ancient castle not far away, he let out a low growl.
"Huh? It's gone?"
Aaron rubbed his eyes, but instead of going in, he had Abei slow down and land in front of the wrought iron gate.
The moment they landed, the man and the dragon dispelled their invisibility. Abei shrunk to his normal size and changed into his own clothes.
Two white paws touched the pocket on its chest, and as it breathed a sigh of relief, it laughed heartlessly.
Aaron was both amused and exasperated by what he saw; he hadn't touched anything in the pocket.
"Aaron." A slightly surprised voice came from the sky, Draco descended swiftly on his Magic Broom. "You came to my house without even giving me a heads-up."
"It happened so suddenly, there wasn't time," Aaron explained, glancing at Draco's broom, the elegant black broom bearing the clear inscription ' Nimbus 2001 '.
Noticing Aaron's gaze, Draco proudly held the broom closer for him to see. "How about it? This is the latest Nimbus series. My dad bought it for me a few weeks ago."
"Um... you're trying to join Slytherin's Quidditch team?"
"You figured it out." Draco showed no sign of displeasure. "My dad bought seven Nimbus 2001, equipping the Slytherin House Team with Nimbus 2000 that would absolutely crush Harry Potter."
"That makes sense."
Aaron couldn't deny that equipment was also a part of strength.
These days, if you give up your advantages to give your opponent a fair chance, you're definitely out of your mind.
"Aren't you going to invite me in for a seat?"
"Sorry, I almost forgot." Draco quickly opened the iron gate. "Please come in."
Once inside the gate, Aaron finally had the opportunity to tour the mansion, which was designed in a traditional Taiwanese style.
A garden surrounds the castle in the center, which calms the mind considerably, and fountains and freely roaming white peacocks can be seen everywhere.
The interior of the manor is extremely luxurious, with magnificent decorations, marble fireplaces, even the mirrors are plated with gold, and a thick carpet is laid on the stone floor tiles.
Anyone who enters this place will immediately think that this family is rich, and their second impression will be that this family is extremely wealthy.
"As expected of a top-tier Warlock family!" Aaron exclaimed, sitting on the sofa. "This setup is truly luxurious."
"Is your family like that too?" Draco asked with some curiosity. "My dad said your family's lineage has a much longer history."
"I admit the second half of the sentence is wrong, but the first half is somewhat different from the facts."
Gaius Castle undergoes design and renovations to varying degrees as times progress, and it has been renovated countless times. Its retro atmosphere cannot compare to that of the Malfoy Manor.
Furthermore, our garden doesn't enclose the castle, nor do we keep that many white peacocks.
Don't laugh, but our only pets, besides the messenger owl, are this one I'm holding.
Draco paused for a moment, looked at Abei nestled in Aaron's arms, and said speechlessly, "Your pet is far superior to those peacocks."
"So, why did you decide to come to my house? School starts in three days."
"It's a long story!" Aaron sighed wistfully. "I might have to stay at your place for a few days."
"No problem, you're my best friend," Draco said without hesitation. "I'll arrange a room for you right away."
"Etc!"
Aaron stopped him, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "Let's discuss this with your father after he arrives before making a decision!"
"No problem at all, I can handle this little thing," Draco said proudly. "Besides, my dad would be very happy to know you're here."
"That might be true under normal circumstances," Aaron smiled somewhat sheepishly, "But now there's been a little unexpected turn of events."
Upon hearing this, Draco's joy faded somewhat. "What happened?"
Let me put it this way!
I ran away from home.
Therefore, my presence at your home needs to be kept confidential.
Draco's expression was also complicated upon hearing this.
If Aaron were simply visiting, he could make arrangements in no time. However, this time Aaron's visit was not a simple temporary stay; he had found a temporary refuge.
This matter certainly couldn't be kept from his father Lucius Malfoy. After all, taking in the sole heir of a Hidden Family without any permission and keeping it a secret was somewhat like meddling in other people's business.
"Now you understand!"
"I understand now," Draco nodded. "But I still don't quite understand. Why did you run away from home all of a sudden?"
"If it weren't for the fact that I couldn't stand it anymore, who would choose to leave their hometown?" Aaron said sadly. "During the holidays, I suffered a lot of unfair treatment at home."
Can you imagine having only seven or eight hours of free time a day, including eating and sleeping?
"Hiss!"
Draco gasped. He had spent his entire vacation either eating, drinking, and having fun, or on his way to eat, drink, and have fun. At most, he had accompanied his father to some private parties, and incidentally met some people and built up some connections.
Compared to Aaron, she is so much happier.
"How exactly did your family arrange your vacation?" Draco asked curiously, but then, remembering that this might be a painful memory for Aaron, he quickly added, "If you don't want to talk about it, then forget it."
There's nothing that can't be said.
They arranged some tutoring classes for me, but the content was just... unbearable; it was simply not something a twelve-year-old should be learning.
Aaron said, opening his hands, which were covered in calluses.
"This is outrageous." Draco's anger flared up at the sight. "I have never seen anyone arrange such a torturous course for their child."
"Who says it isn't?"
Sometimes I really doubt whether I am their biological child.
I can accept that we only see each other a few times a year, and that I can also accept being casually left to be cared for by the Butler.
But when those courses piled up, I really couldn't accept that suffocating feeling; it was too painful.
Draco could clearly sense the frustration in his best friend's voice, and while empathizing with him, he comforted him, saying, "I don't know if my dad will agree to you staying at my house for the next couple of days, but I promise I'll do my best to persuade him."
"Thanks!"
Aaron was somewhat moved. Regardless of the final outcome, Draco's attitude alone made him feel that he had made the right choice in making this friend, someone he could rely on in crucial moments.
"You don't have to force yourself. If it doesn't work, I have a Plan B."
"Plan B?" Draco reacted, looking at Aaron with some suspicion. "I'm not trying to discourage you, but are you sure your Plan B will take in a child of your high status who has run away from home?"
Aaron shrugged and nodded very seriously.
His first target was Malfoy Manor, not Weasley's the Burrow, after careful consideration.
It would be best if Malfoy allowed him to stay temporarily, but it wouldn't matter if he didn't agree.
Once Aaron arrives at the Burrow and tells Ron 'Malfoy family' actions, given the extremely poor relationship between Weasley and Malfoy, Malfoy's opposition will almost certainly be met with Weasley's support.
Although the Weasley family are poor, Arthur Weasley is definitely a much better person than Lucius Malfoy, and his family will try their best to conceal his whereabouts.
Suddenly, green flames appeared in the marble fireplace, and two figures emerged from it.
One is Draco's father, Lucius Malfoy, and the other is Draco's the Mother, Narcissa Malfoy.
Narcissa Malfoy is the third daughter of the Pure-blood families Black family family. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, and her bloodline and demeanor both make her appear very noble.
"A guest has arrived?" Lucius noticed the extra person in the house and reminded his wife beside him.
"Yes, Father, is my best friend."
"Hmm!" Lucius nodded, then recognized Aaron sitting there, and a smile appeared on his face. "It's Aaron!"
"That's rare. Are you here to play with Draco?"
"I didn't mean to deceive you, Uncle Lucius." Aaron stood up, then looked at the woman beside Lucius and gave her an apologetic smile. "Of course, I didn't mean to deceive you either, Aunt Narcissa."
"Nice to meet you, may I call you Auntie?"
"Of course," Narcissa said with a smile. "Draco owes a lot to you for taking care of him at Hogwarts."
"Aaron, what do you mean by saying you don't want to deceive us?" Lucius asked, somewhat puzzled. "Didn't you come here to see Draco?"
"That's not true. I came to the Malfoy Manor to seek refuge."
"Don't be so formal," Draco stepped forward to explain. "Aaron ran away from home and wants to stay with us for a few days."
The Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy exchanged a glance, both recalling a small incident that had occurred in Knockturn Alley.
"Hey Aaron, we just finished Knockturn Alley," Lucius said. "We met a very polite man on the street, and he seemed to be asking about the whereabouts of a twelve-year-old boy."
"The Eighth One is looking for me." Aaron said speechlessly. He didn't expect Jeans to act so quickly, but he also didn't expect that it was as simple as them searching for their target.
The fact that the child was twelve years old undoubtedly expanded the search area many times over, but he thought that the disguises used to confuse people would be completely ineffective.
