Timely Material Aid
A few hours later, Harry and Ron no longer enjoyed driving back to school; on the contrary, they felt it was somewhat agonizing, both mentally and physically, and were particularly exhausted.
The only food available on the train was toffee, but candy can't replace a meal, and eating too much can make you thirsty. There wasn't a drop of water on the train either.
The azure sky and scenery are beautiful, but after looking at the white clouds for several hours in a row, it's inevitable to experience some visual fatigue.
The sunlight shone directly on the windshield, raising the temperature inside the car considerably. Even after taking off their jackets, the two of them still felt drenched in sweat.
"I finally understand why Aaron didn't want to get on the bus. This kind of experience is not something an ordinary person can endure." Harry leaned back in his seat with a wry smile, his eyes full of helplessness.
"You're a little better off, you just need to lie down, but I still have to drive!" Ron gripped the tray, looking utterly dejected. "I really want to drink water, I really want to lie in bed and rest, I really miss the chilled Pumpkin Juice on the train."
"Who wouldn't want to?" Harry pursed his lips, then leaned out the window to look at the train moving steadily below. "That's right, but we're still a long way from Hogwarts."
"Don't bother with the last part; there's no worse news than that." Ron rolled his eyes, speechless. "Harry, why don't you think we went into Platform Nine and Three-Quarters?"
"I don't know, and I'm not thinking about that right now."
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The knocking on the car door was clear and reached the ears of both of them.
"What's that sound?" Harry asked.
"It's probably a bird!"
Ron didn't take it seriously, but as soon as he finished speaking, the knocking started again.
The two turned their heads and met a pair of clear eyes. Abei, dressed in white, was looking at them through the car window.
Its wings flapped constantly, keeping pace with the speed of the Ford Anglia, and it carried a Backpack of moderate size on its back.
"Abei!" Harry said with some surprise, "Did Aaron send you to find us?"
Abei nodded, opened the back door, climbed in, and put down his Backpack.
"Is this for us?" Ron looked at the Backpack full of bags, a sense of anticipation rising within him.
Abei gave him a haughty look, then reluctantly opened her Backpack and emptied out her belongings.
Bread, cakes, chocolates, Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans... everything was available, which Harry and Ron desperately needed right now, but what made them happiest were the bottles of chilled Pumpkin Juice and mineral water.
Gollum!
Ron swallowed hard, looking at the adorable pet behind him, "Gan-chan is beautiful, I love you to death."
Abei took a step back with a hint of disgust, took out the note Aaron had left in his pocket, and handed it to Harry Potter.
"Let me see what it says." Harry took the document and read it aloud. "This time it's on me as a thank you to the Weasley family for taking you in, but remember not to throw things from high places."
"We don't need him to teach us this; we still know common sense." Ron couldn't help but laugh, reaching behind him to grab a bottle of chilled Pumpkin Juice, and gulping down half of it in one go. "He's alive again."
Harry also grabbed a bottle of Pumpkin Juice and a few small cakes. As he ate and drank, the fatigue on his face instantly lessened by more than half. "Suddenly, I feel that this is the right way to experience a road trip."
"But it's still not as good as a train, at least you don't have to drive one."
"It's not because I can't become invisible that I fly so high," Ron said. "Next time I take the train, I definitely won't be late."
At this moment, Abei patted Harry on the shoulder and then pointed at Aaron's note, as if to say that he hadn't finished reading it yet.
Harry realized what was happening and looked at the back of the note. "Just a friendly reminder, be prepared. I don't think this car can fly for that long with its performance."
Ron's expression changed. Although he knew this was just Aaron's guess, it was a possibility, and he didn't want to be forced to descend halfway through the journey.
"Abei, did Aaron tell you how to solve the problem?"
Abei hesitated for a moment, then jumped to the front and pulled a black Wand from Harry's clothes.
The two looked at each other, unsure of what to say.
They are indeed Warlock, but only junior Warlock. Controlling a car to fly is not particularly difficult for them, but simply impossible.
"Ron, I might..." Harry said somewhat embarrassedly, "You know what I mean?"
Ron nodded blankly. While others might not know Harry's secrets, his best friend knew them perfectly well.
The two of them together could at most use Levitation Charm to prevent the car from suddenly falling, but making it move forward or backward was something they simply couldn't do.
"Actually, the situation might not be as serious as he said. After all, this car was carefully modified by my dad," Ron said, trying to convince Harry while also trying to encourage himself.
"I doubt Mr. Weasley flew this car for that long!"
"At least it got you from Surrey to Devon. If you had put in any more effort, you definitely wouldn't have made it to Hogwarts."
Hearing this, Harry breathed a sigh of relief. By this standard, the car was still reliable.
In the back seat, Abei completed the task Aaron had given it, quickly slung its Backpack over its shoulder, opened the car door, and flew out.
Back in the train compartment, Draco looked at Abei's empty Backpack and couldn't help but ask Aaron curiously, "What did you put it for?"
"Of course, it's meant to help those in need," Aaron said with a meaningful smile. "After all, I'm so kind."
"Senior is so kind-hearted," Colin said seriously.
Draco's lips twitched as he saw Colin give him a thumbs-up. This kid... he'll be easily fooled in the future. Whether Harry Potter has such a fan is a blessing or a curse.
The train traveled along the long tracks, its chimneys spewing out numerous plumes of smoke, clattering and rattling as it passed through dusk and into the night.
As they drew closer to Hogwarts, the Warlock students on the bus changed into their Warlock robes.
Colin carefully examined his Wand. "We'll be at Hogwarts soon. I heard that freshmen have to be sorted into houses."
"Which house do you want to go to?" Draco asked. "Just so you know, proud Slytherin House doesn't accept Warlock of Muggle blood, unless your ancestors..."
"I want to go to Gryffindor."
Draco felt a little embarrassed before he could finish speaking. Is the Celebrity Effect really that big these days?
"Ahem! Take my advice, don't go to that academy."
While you're not guaranteed Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff are also options. There's no need to choose the same house as Harry Potter just because you admire him.
"Alright, stop interfering in this matter. Colin is free to choose what he wants." Aaron said speechlessly, "Besides, some academies aren't places he can just go to whenever he wants."
"Alright!" Draco shrugged and said nothing more.
After all, the Sorting Hat determines the houses, Colin's ideas play a certain role in it, but it's not absolute.
Aaron stood up from his seat and looked out the window. In the dark clouds, there seemed to be a dark shadow rising and falling intermittently.
"What a mess! That car is probably at its limit."
"What are you looking at?" Draco walked to Aaron's side and followed his gaze, but he couldn't see anything.
"It's nothing," Aaron chuckled, then stepped out of the carriage. "I'll be back in a bit."
"Senior, what did he go to do?" Colin asked.
Draco didn't dislike this Gryffindor student, nor did he particularly like him; he simply sat back down in his seat. "How would I know?"
As Aaron walked through the carriages, his gaze quickly sweeping over familiar and unfamiliar faces before finally stopping in front of one carriage.
"Hey Aaron, what brings you here?" Fred greeted him.
Aaron glanced at Ginny sitting by the window, then at Fred and George, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Um... isn't Percy here?"
"He's in the Prefect's car," George said. "He's been like that ever since he became Prefect."
Aaron hesitated for a moment, then looked at Ginny and said, "Harry and Ron have a temporary problem, maybe, possibly, perhaps, just maybe..."
"Is it really necessary to make such a long statement in one sentence?" Fred interrupted Aaron with a laugh. "Just say what you have to say."
"Okay! I think they might not make it to Ginny's Sorting Ceremony."
"Ah?"
All three of them were somewhat surprised.
"What could be more important than my sister's Sorting Ceremony?" George frowned.
"Is Harry Potter not coming either?" Ginny said with some regret.
Aaron nodded, without denying it.
"Which carriage are they in? Let's go talk to them." Fred stood up, and George followed suit.
"I'm just saying it's a possibility; maybe we can make it in time."
"Besides, the train is about to stop; it's probably too late for you to find them now."
Aaron stood at the carriage door and stopped the two. If the mischievous twin brothers knew how they were traveling, they would Harry try to join them halfway through the journey.
