The Clash Between Two House Teams
Back in his dorm, Aaron lay on his bed, a smile creeping onto his face.
The process of enrolling in the course went more smoothly than he had expected. Starting from that day, he had complete control over the Defense Against the Dark Arts for the entire school year.
Whether he was sleeping or reading extracurricular books, Lockhart would turn a blind eye.
However, Aaron would not waste time improving himself. Learning Magic Array was something he could not stop doing. It was a kind of magic that was more difficult and complicated than spells and required a lot of time to practice.
It took him two months to memorize all the basic Magic Array engraved in the family's Secret Chamber, including summoning, elemental, teleportation, support, enhancement, dispel, and sacrifice magic circles, and so on.
After learning about the wonders of Magic Array, he became quite eager to learn about this profound magic. The combination of various Magic Array could even be described as an art.
Even he only remembered their shapes and the need to pay attention to the flow of magic power when drawing them.
In short, it would take him some time to inscribe the Magic Array, but in actual combat, the enemy wouldn't give him any chance.
In the words of Weihert Gaius, he would only be considered barely qualified when he could instantly complete one or even multiple Magic Array without the aid of any medium.
The first step in mastering magic is to shorten the time required to inscribe Magic Array. Where does the time come from during the mastering period? Without a doubt, it comes from the Defense Against the Dark Arts.
In the following days, Aaron, like the other students, studied and lived in an orderly manner. When he had nothing to do, he would wander around the library and practice drawing Magic Array.
On Sunday, Aaron got up very early, ate breakfast, and then took Abei outside the castle.
Draco is going to attend the Slytherin House Team's first practice, and he's asked to be there as a former Seeker.
After he left the stadium, he found Hermione and Ron there as well.
"Good morning," Aaron greeted. "What are you doing here?"
"Waiting for someone," Ron said. "We had planned with Harry to see Hagrid, but it seems he was stopped by Wood."
The Gryffindor Team is going to have special training, and as the Seeker, he can't avoid it.
Aaron paused, looking at the empty stadium, his face twitching slightly. "You mean Gryffindor is having special training today?"
"Yeah! Since we're just killing time anyway, watching Quidditch is quite interesting."
"At worst, we'll go to Hagrid's hut after Harry's training." Ron said matter-of-factly, then looked at Aaron with some surprise, "I remember you weren't very interested in Quidditch, so why are you thinking of coming to the pitch?"
"Um... you don't want to know the reason."
Aaron was speechless. Gryffindor had special training today, and Slytherin also had training today, which meant that the two teams might meet on the field, and who knew if any conflict might break out.
"Do you want to come with us to see Hagrid later?" Hermione asked.
"Heh!" Aaron pointed meaningfully at Abei in his arms, "Are you sure it's appropriate for me to be like this? Hagrid has been eyeing my Abei for more than just a day or two."
"Hagrid has a small inch."
"Your master won't do anything reckless."
Aaron smiled but remained silent. He said it sounded nice, but he didn't believe a word of it, after all, this forest ranger had a criminal record.
Before long, the Gryffindor House Team, dressed in red uniforms, walked onto the field.
However, apart from captain Oliver Wood, everyone else looked listless.
"Did they skip breakfast?" Aaron asked, somewhat surprised.
"Maybe more than that." Ron smiled wryly. "Wood woke them up several hours early. They probably didn't get any sleep, let alone eat."
Aaron pursed his lips. This captain was taking it a little too seriously!
Lenovo's Draco woke up an hour earlier than usual today, and he couldn't help but feel glad that he had quit the academy team in time.
Seven Flying Broomstick soared into the air, Gryffindor split into two teams for a match.
The occasional flashes of light and the clicking of camera shutters on the field left them momentarily bewildered.
On the highest platform of Colin Station, he excitedly picked up his camera and kept taking pictures, capturing every single shot of Harry Potter.
"Wow, I knew Colin idolized Harry, but I didn't realize he was this obsessed with his idol."
"Luckily he's Gryffindor, otherwise Wood would probably have mistaken Wood for Slytherin spy," Ron said.
After speaking, Ron seemed to think about something, and silently turned his gaze to Aaron, his eyes filled with suspicion.
Colin would certainly not spy on Gryffindor's training plans, but Aaron might not.
He used to Seeker in Slytherin, so he doesn't need to keep special notes. He should be able to figure out Wood's tactics just by watching him play once.
"Hey! What do you mean by that look?" Aaron said unhappily. "Don't insult my noble character with your suspicious gaze."
"Ron," Hermione rolled her eyes and said in a reproachful tone, "If you're going to have any doubts, at least pick the right person! Aaron isn't that kind of person."
"Exactly, do you think I need to spy on others?"
If I wanted to help Slytherin House Team, I'd just go back to Seeker.
Ron shrugged awkwardly and gave Aaron an embarrassed yet polite smile. "Sorry."
At that moment, several people dressed in green robes entered the stadium, each carrying an identical Flying Broomstick.
"See that?" Aaron pointed to the Slytherin House Team. "I'm here purely because the Slytherin House Team also needs to train; I have no other intentions."
Upon seeing the Slytherin House Team enter the field, Wood lost all interest in training and angrily charged to the ground.
"Flint, this is Gryffindor's training time," Wood said sternly. "Now, please leave."
The rest of the Gryffindor House Team also flew over to support their captain, after all, they couldn't afford to lose face even if they lost.
Aaron slapped his forehead. "I knew this would happen."
"Something's not right. Let's go check it out," Ron said, and then headed down from the platform.
Besides Harry, the Gryffindor House Team also has his two older brothers, so it's impossible not to worry.
Hermione followed, but after a short while she returned and looked at Aaron, who hadn't moved at all, and said, "You come with us too."
"I don't want to get involved."
This is a dispute between the college teams; they won't fight.
"Look at how tense they are," Hermione said listlessly. "You probably don't even believe it yourself."
"Then we definitely can't go; there's a risk of friendly fire if a fight breaks out."
"Both Quidditch teams are made up of upperclassmen, except for the Seeker. We'd be at a disadvantage if we went," Aaron said matter-of-factly. Looking at the furious Hermione, he sighed helplessly, "It's not that I can't go, it's that if I go, who should I help?"
Hermione paused for a moment; she hadn't considered that.
If a conflict were to break out, they would definitely side with Gryffindor, while Aaron is Slytherin, so he's more likely to side with the Slytherin House Team.
"I've figured it out." Aaron smiled meaningfully. "I advise you not to go down and join the fun."
If the two college teams can resolve things peacefully, that would be ideal. But if they start fighting, things could get really messy.
Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape won't ignore this, and neither side will get away with it. The side with more people might even be in the more wrong.
The many bully the few, and they won't listen to reason!
Besides, I don't think even if you two were on the team, you might not be able to beat the Slytherin House Team.
Whew! Whew! Whew!
Hermione calmed down and took several deep breaths. Then she grabbed Aaron's arm and tried to pull him onto the court. "Come with me."
Aaron was stunned for a moment before he came to his senses and gripped the railing tightly. "Wasn't my explanation clear enough?"
"It's clear that we can't just stand by and watch," Hermione said earnestly. "And you definitely have a way to resolve this conflict."
"Don't overestimate me," Aaron said, clearly resistant. "I'm just an ordinary second-year Warlock."
"If you're just ordinary, then there's no one special in the Warlock world." Hermione pleaded even more earnestly. "You were the previous Seeker for Slytherin House Team, so Slytherin House Team will give you face, and Gryffindor House Team will also treat you differently."
If you're willing to mediate, it might not be so troublesome.
Aaron's lips twitched. "Stop joking. You said it yourself, it's just a possibility."
Hermione tried for a few more seconds, but when she couldn't pull Aaron up, she had no choice but to let go of his arm.
Just as Aaron breathed a sigh of relief, Hermione took out her Wand.
Gollum!
Aaron swallowed hard. "Are you sure you want to do this?"
Just a friendly reminder, you can't beat me.
"Just tell me, are you going or not?"
"So what if I don't go?" Aaron retorted directly.
"Then I'll go down and tell them you're here too. Guess what the Slytherin House Team will think?"
Aaron blinked, his expression changing slightly, and said with a wry smile, "You won, shall I go?"
"Let's hurry!" Hermione grabbed Aaron and headed towards the court. "Just make sure they don't start fighting."
