Clues Pieced Together
The next morning, Aaron went to the library after breakfast.
His current task is to find the legendary secret Secret Chamber, but he knows nothing about Secret Chamber and can only find the answers in books.
Aaron had also asked Draco, but he only had a vague understanding.
Lucius had told him that the Secret Chamber Secret Chamber had been opened fifty years ago, but the person who opened it was expelled, and a Warlock from the Muggle Family died that time. Apart from that, there were no other clues.
He spent over an hour without finding a single book related to the school's history, which was clearly unusual.
Aaron frowned and approached the librarian. "Madam Pince, I'd like to ask where I can find books related to the history of Hogwarts?"
"Sorry, Aaron, you're late." Madam Pince said with a hint of schadenfreude, "When the library opened today, a group of Warlock came and borrowed all those books, not a single one left."
Upon hearing this, Aaron felt as if a string of exclamation marks had floated above his head.
Damn, does it have to be this curled?
"You're looking for clues about the Secret Chamber mystery, aren't you?" Madam Pince asked meaningfully. "I wasn't there last night, but the news spread this morning."
"Madam Pince, do you know about the secret Secret Chamber?"
"I don't know, I'm just an ordinary administrator, I really don't know that much."
"But I can tell you something else," Madam Pince lowered her voice. "The answers you're looking for aren't in the books about Hogwarts history."
Aaron blinked and stammered a thank you.
He didn't think Madam Pince was lying to him; this witch had been in charge of the library for over ten years, and her care and familiarity with the books was simply outrageous.
I wouldn't dare say she's read every single book here, but her knowledge of books is definitely the best in Hogwarts.
"Excuse me, Madam Pince."
"It's alright. If you really want to know about the locked Secret Chamber mystery, you can ask the professors at the school. They should know some clues."
Aaron nodded slightly, but he didn't hold out much hope.
The professors probably know more than Lucius, but they are not necessarily clear on the key points, otherwise the Secret Chamber would not have been found to this day.
The Transfiguration Class.
Professor McGonagall finished explaining the theoretical knowledge in the textbook and looked at the Gryffindor and Slytherin second-year students sitting below.
Behind her were two blackboards, on which were drawn a parrot and a wine glass.
"Listen up, everyone, today we're going to learn how to turn animals into goblets." Professor McGonagall walked up to a parrot. "Like this, one, two, three, dramatic transformation."
A transparent wave of energy shot out from the tip of the Wand, and the parrot instantly transformed into a transparent crystal glass, completely devoid of any animal characteristics.
The students below erupted in commotion, filled with interest in this challenging Transfiguration.
"Now it's your turn. Who wants to go first?" Professor McGonagall stepped down from the podium and began searching for a suitable candidate.
After walking around, her gaze lingered on Ron and Aaron, since they were the only ones in the classroom with pets, which made the demonstration easier.
When she saw the duct tape wrapped around Ron's Wand, her eye twitched involuntarily, and she immediately ruled him out.
"Gaius, come here!"
One, two, three, a dramatic change in appearance.
"Um..." Aaron hesitated and smiled. "Professor, does this spell work on all animals? What will happen if I fail?"
Professor McGonagall paused for a moment, then saw Abei dozing on Aaron's desk. She suddenly realized that this was a Fantastic Beasts with a certain degree of magic resistance, and it would be disastrous if it reflected the spell back.
"I'll get you another one." Professor McGonagall tapped a cage against the wall with her Wand, drawing an owl inside to Aaron's side. "Let's begin!"
Aaron raised an eyebrow and picked up his black Wand. "A dramatic change in appearance."
A silver glint flashed on the Wand, and the owl transformed into a silver goblet, its surface adorned with the Slytherin symbol.
"Extremely amazing!" Professor McGonagall exclaimed. "Slytherin is truly something else!"
"Anyone else want to try?"
At this moment, Hermione raised her right hand.
"Miss Granger, I guess you're interested in this as well."
"No, Professor, I wanted to ask you a different question."
Could you tell us about the Secret Chamber mystery?
Hermione looked somewhat uneasy, after all, the question she asked had nothing to do with Transfiguration.
Moreover, after Halloween, Secret Chamber are a sensitive topic. It's fine for you to research them privately, but asking about it in class is somewhat awkward.
As expected, Professor McGonagall's expression changed slightly, clearly indicating that she was not willing to answer the question.
But the sudden quiet in the classroom and the curious gazes around her eventually softened her heart.
"Alright!" Professor McGonagall began to pace slowly around the classroom. "As everyone knows, Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago by the four greatest Warlock of the time: Godric Gryffindor, Hercule Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin."
Three of the founders got along well, while the third did not.
Salazar Slytherin wanted Hogwarts to be more selective in its student admissions, believing that magical education should be limited to magical families, that is, Pure-blood Warlock.
Unable to change the minds of the other three, he decided to leave the school.
According to legend, Slytherin created a secret room in this castle, which became known as the Chamber of Secrets.
However, shortly before leaving, he sealed the Chamber of Secrets, waiting for his true successor to arrive at the school. Only this successor could open the Chamber of Secrets and release the terrifying things within.
This will Purification the school and rid it of those whom Slytherin deems unworthy to learn magic.
"Professor, do you know what's Chamber of Secrets?" Aaron asked, raising his hand.
"It is said that something lives in the Chamber of Secrets that can only be controlled by the Slytherin heir. Some say that it is a monster."
"After countless searches by school staff, no one found the Chamber of Secrets."
After class, the students left the classroom in twos and threes.
Aaron looked at the notebook on his desk and sighed with some regret, "What a hassle! But I've still gained something."
Professor McGonagall said he listened carefully to every word and wrote it down word for word.
Admittedly, she has a few more clues, but they are too complicated and need to be carefully sorted out.
"Aaron, what are you looking at?" Draco asked, leaning closer. He looked surprised when he saw the contents of the notebook. "Why are you writing this down?"
"It's nothing, I'm just a little interested in the Chamber of Secrets."
"Chamber of Secrets? That doesn't seem to have anything to do with you!"
"No."
"Then let's not look for it. It wouldn't be good if we got hurt by the monsters in the Chamber of Secrets," Draco advised. "According to legend, the unlucky ones are usually Muggle-born Warlock. We Pure-blood wizard are still quite safe."
"I didn't intend to provoke that monster; I was simply interested in Salazar Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets."
A Holy Magus built a secret base that Hogwarts has searched for for many years without finding, shrouded in mystery.
Hearing this, Draco became somewhat interested.
The Holy Magus's Secret Base definitely doesn't just contain one monster; there might even be Slytherin treasures inside.
But soon he couldn't help but shudder. Even if there were magical tools or the Code, Malfoy couldn't possibly covet them.
Unless the Slytherin heir dies and those items become unclaimed, Malfoy will have no chance to compete for them.
"I can tell you're scared just by looking at you," Aaron teased. "But it's understandable, I suppose!"
Draco gave an awkward smile and did not deny it.
"So what clues do you have now?"
"It's a complete mess; we can only unravel it slowly."
"Go eat first! I'll think about it by myself."
After Draco left, Aaron was the only one left in the classroom.
He picked up a piece of chalk, walked to the front of the class, and wrote down all the clues he knew on the blackboard.
First, Draco knows the true story: The Chamber of Secrets Chamber of Secrets was opened once ten years ago; the person who opened it was expelled; and a Muggle-born Warlock died.
Secondly, Professor McGonagall knows the legend of the Chamber of Secrets: only the heir of Slytherin can open the Chamber of Secrets; there is a monster Chamber of Secrets; the monster will wipe out all Muggle-born Warlock.
Finally, he himself learned the following: the petrified cat; Harry Potter could hear sounds that others couldn't; the crime scene was full of water stains.
Looking at these clues, Aaron's lips curled up slightly. His intuition told him clearly that the location of the Chamber of Secrets was among these clues, but it would take some time to find it.
However, before searching for the Chamber of Secrets, we must take precautions; we must be wary of that monster!
Just as Aaron was thinking this, the system's voice rang in his mind again.
[Slay the Chamber of Secrets monster:]
The reward for completing the task is 1000 Magic Points; there is no penalty for failure. Do you accept this offer?
Aaron:...
This is what really stirs things up!
"I accept. Fortune favors the bold. At worst, I'll just try what it's like to give up halfway."
