Diary Abandoned in the Bathroom
A few weeks later, students returned to school after Christmas to begin the new semester.
During this time Harry and his two companions diligently searched the three Common Room. Their method was very simple and crude: they put on Invisibility Cloak and waited for Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw students to open the doors of the Common Room for them.
Of course, Gryffindor Common Room is their own property, so checking it isn't that troublesome.
In addition, they also conducted a secret investigation into the twenty-three suspects on the list given by Aaron, but without any results.
Fortunately, the Heir of Slytherin seemed to have given up during this time, and no further attacks occurred.
"So, you really didn't find anything?" Aaron looked at Ron thoughtfully from upstairs. "What about Ginny? Are you sure you didn't show favoritism?"
"She is definitely not without suspicion, I swear on my integrity," Ron said seriously. "Every time I subtly inquired about the Secret Chamber, she acted very scared, and once she even pushed me, her brother, down."
"Is that so? Then things are going to be difficult."
I searched the entire school and only managed to narrow down these twenty-three students, and now the trail has gone cold again.
"We can't find any mechanisms in the Common Room either, so we can be sure it's not related to the Secret Chamber," Harry murmured. "We can basically rule out the Headmaster's Office, which leaves only the Forbidden Forest and Black Lake."
"There's one more location," Hermione, looking at Aaron. "Shouldn't you tell us about it by now?"
"No." Aaron refused without hesitation. "I'd rather Forbidden Forest and Black Lake first than go to places like that."
Upon hearing this, the three exchanged bewildered glances.
Is this last location more dangerous than the Forbidden Forest and the Black Lake?
"Then could you ask the heir from fifty years ago..." Harry hesitated for a moment, "He might have some clues."
"His lead is in the Forbidden Forest, but it's not very valuable and is extremely dangerous. I don't recommend you go." Aaron frowned slightly and continued, "Perhaps your investigation wasn't thorough enough, or perhaps I missed something important."
Our progress is currently stuck here. To advance further, we can only wait for the heir to make their next move.
"It's best not to."
"I think so too. The heir must be that kind." Aaron said as he climbed the last step, and stepped into a puddle as soon as he took one.
Hermione looked at the corridor, which was mostly flooded, and pointed in surprise at the door with a malfunction notice. "I think it's the Common Room that's leaking. It should be at the place where Moaning Myrtle."
"Shall we go take a look?"
Aaron paused for a moment, then slowly took a step back. "You guys go ahead! I'll wait here. I don't like dealing with that female ghost."
The three shrugged, lifted their robes, and waded through the puddles.
A few minutes later, Aaron heard Moaning Myrtle's cursing. Even though it was more than ten meters away and a doorway away, the sound was still very clear.
When Harry and the others came out, their shoes and socks were completely soaked.
"It's probably a prank. Someone must have turned on all the taps," Hermione said.
"And this." Harry picked up a completely soaked black-covered Diary. "The date on it is fifty years ago, the owner's name is Tom Riddle, and nothing else is written on it."
"Let me see." Aaron took the Diary from Harry's hand, then took out his Wand. "Aparecium!"
The Diary remained unresponsive; not a single word was revealed.
"Is there something wrong with this diary?" Harry asked suspiciously.
"This is inevitable," Aaron said firmly. "Fifty years ago, the Secret Chamber was opened once, and fifty years later, a blank Diary was thrown into an abandoned girls' washroom."
This doesn't seem like a coincidence at all! Perhaps this Diary holds some secret!
Upon hearing the word "coincidence," Harry's lips twitched slightly, and he gave an awkward laugh, "Maybe it's just an ordinary Diary!"
"Yeah! An ordinary student finds a Diary from fifty years ago, doesn't want to bother writing anything in it, so he just throws it away in some abandoned place," Ron chimed in. "At least I would do that."
Aaron looked at the two who didn't quite believe him, and smiled meaningfully, "Then why didn't this student throw it in the trash can, but instead went to the trouble of throwing it in Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom?"
"Why not just turn on all the faucets? Isn't that unnecessary?"
"Um..." Hermione said somewhat awkwardly, "They were just as suspicious as you were before, which caused all those misunderstandings."
"Don't give me any misunderstandings. It was clearly premeditated," Aaron said unhappily. "My cooperation with you now is entirely out of necessity."
However, I do have a simple way to prove my guess.
As soon as he finished speaking, Aaron threw the Diary into the air and quickly cast Incendio.
A burst of flame shot out from the Wand and struck the Diary squarely.
To the surprise of the three, the Diary, after being scorched by the fire, only emitted a few wisps of smoke and returned to normal after a few seconds.
"Hmph!" Aaron sneered. "See? This is what they call facts speaking louder than words."
Harry picked up the Diary. The wet parts were completely soaked, and there wasn't a single word inside. It looked like an ordinary Diary that had been around for a long time.
However, at this moment he believed Aaron's words. There was definitely a secret in this Diary, and it was very likely related to the Secret Chamber.
"Aaron, do you have any way to crack the secret inside?"
"You overestimate me." Aaron shook his head, directly cutting off Harry's attempt to take a shortcut.
He had already tried the method, but only came to one accurate conclusion: the diary was protected by powerful magic and was difficult to destroy.
Harry wasn't too disappointed. His green eyes stared at the single name on the list, and he murmured, "Tom Riddle, we can start by looking up the name."
"Go for it, I believe in you!" Aaron patted him on the shoulder. "I'm not very interested in the history of the 10th century because I know the ousted heir."
However, according to our cooperation terms, if you crack the secret inside, you must unconditionally tell me.
"Okay." Harry reluctantly put the diary away.
As time passed, Mandrake became capricious and taciturn, rapidly fading from his childhood.
Once their pimples disappear, you can boil the slices into a juice to restore the students, animals, and Ghost that have been stoned to their original state.
Although the attack incident is still deeply ingrained in people's minds, many students have become complacent because it hasn't happened again in so long, and some even treat the legend of the Secret Chamber as just a story.
Gilderoy Lockhart, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, is the most enthusiastic dancer.
When everyone was in a state of panic, he was the first to hide. But once the storm had passed, he confidently assured everyone that no further problems would arise, making it seem as if he had stopped the Slytherin heir.
Since there were no other clues at the moment, Aaron focused more on improving himself.
Aaron's skill in drawing advanced Magic Array improved with practice, but Aaron dared not test his full power, lest he accidentally demolish the dormitory and cause a huge mess.
My Magic Points have barely reached two thousand, enough to take down the clone—no, I mean the Thought Form spell.
However, just in case, Aaron did not buy it immediately.
After all, Magic Points can be directly converted into Magical Energy, raising one's strength to the level of a beginner-level Archmage, giving one more confidence when facing danger.
On Valentine's Day, Harry accidentally knocked over his schoolbag in the hallway while trying to avoid Lockhart giving him a Valentine's Day card.
A bottle of ink shattered on the floor, staining the schoolbag, books, and Riddle bright red.
But when he returned to his dormitory, he found that the diary was still clean.
Realizing the diary might have absorbed ink, he excitedly sat up in bed, took a quill pen from the bedside table, dipped it in ink, and dripped a drop onto the diary.
The black ink spread rapidly, but was absorbed completely by a blank sheet of paper in no time.
Upon seeing this, Harry couldn't help but smile. He felt as if he had discovered a secret in the diary, and immediately wrote in the diary, "My name is Harry Potter."
This word flashed, seeping into the diary like the drop of ink.
A moment later, a single character appeared on the blank page: 'Hello, Harry Potter, my name is Tom Riddle.'
Harry opened his eyes slightly and watched the word "" gradually disappear. He was stunned for a few seconds before he finally regained consciousness.
"Do you know anything about the Secret Chamber of Secrets?" Harry wrote, but before he could even pick up his pen, he thought of something else and added to his journal, "It would be even better if you knew the exact location of the Secret Chamber of Secrets."
The writing slowly disappeared, and the Diary of the Thousand Quicks began to respond: 'I know about the Secret Chamber incident, but I don't know its exact location.'
Harry was somewhat disappointed. He had thought he would make a major discovery this time, but it seemed that the diary could only offer limited help.
With a heavy heart, Harry wrote down another word, "Can you tell me?"
The diary responded immediately: 'The situation that day was complicated, but you can go into my memories to see it.'
Harry was a little confused. Entering someone else's memories, this diary didn't seem to have that kind of ability at all.
But before he could react, another line appeared in the diary: 'I'll take you back ten years.'
The writing disappeared, and the diary pages flipped rapidly as if blown by a strong wind, stopping at June 13th.
Harry carefully picked up the diary, and a strong white light seeped out from the center, shining on him and drawing him into a world of light and shadow.
When Harry opened his eyes again, he found himself in a grayish-white world. Although it was still Hogwarts, he felt out of place with everyone around him.
He can see everyone and hear their voices clearly, but others cannot see or touch him; his presence is even less noticeable than air.
This memory of Riddle corresponds to the time ten years ago when the Secret Chamber was opened, and Harry met the then -Headmaster Dippet Riddle Tom.
From their conversation, he learned that Tom was Half-blood, a Muggle, and that his the Mother the Mother Warlock died after giving birth to him. He grew up in Muggle orphanage.
After silently comparing things in his mind, Harry was surprised to find that for the first time he was qualified to sympathize with others.
Both his mother and he were Warlock; he was Pure-blood Warlock and inherited a fortune from his mother.
Although it's almost been destroyed by Hanabi now, at least it's not like starting with a bowl.
He also lost both his mother and mother, but at least he experienced the warmth of family, deep parental love, and great maternal love before he was one year old.
Although he couldn't quite remember that feeling of happiness, there was no doubt that it existed.
He grew up in his aunt's house, and living under someone else's roof was a very difficult experience.
Although she was not well-liked and was often bullied by her older cousin, compared to the orphanage where she was hungry, cold, and had a bad night's sleep ten years ago, this was already a warm welcome.
