Arrangements for Dobby
"I'm sorry, I may have to disappoint you," Aaron said calmly. "I can't arrange things for him."
"Why? A House Elf is easy for you."
"It's easy," Aaron didn't deny, then changed the subject, "But I have no reason to help him; after all, my family isn't a charity."
There are so many rich people in the world, but how many of them have any compassion for beggars on the street? They're already considered kind enough to give a little money when they pass by.
Harry was speechless, but seeing Dobby's pitiful appearance, he still wanted to try to help him.
"Dobby is very powerful. He can cast spells without Wand or a spell, and he can even send Lucius flying."
"What?" Aaron sat up straight in surprise. Perhaps the movement was too big, because the area wrapped in bandages was a little painful, and his expression was also unnatural.
"You hit Lucius Malfoy?"
Dobby nodded weakly, "He wanted to hurt Harry Potter, so..."
Aaron rolled his eyes and looked at Harry with a hint of helplessness. "No wonder you helped him so much."
Harry blushed slightly and said embarrassedly, "I just wanted to help him find a job."
"A project that will easily offend the host family," Aaron sneered. "To put it bluntly, taking in Dobby is a slap in the face to the Malfoy. No one in the Warlock world wants to offend a powerful and influential Pure-blood families."
"Not even your family's?"
Aaron's eyes flickered slightly, and he snorted disdainfully. He had stopped using such clumsy provocations when he was three years old.
"Malfoy doesn't have the guts or the power to challenge the authority of the Gaius family."
However, the Hidden Family did not want to cause trouble, even if the trouble was very small, or even so small that it did not exist at all.
"Besides, I Malfoy family for a day or two, and they treated me very well. Now you want me to take in a House Elf who hit Lucius Malfoy? Do you think that's appropriate?"
"Maybe...it's not appropriate," Harry said weakly. "But I can't think of anyone else besides your family. We can't just let the Weasley family ..."
"Yes! And the Weasley family, I remember Mrs. Weasley always wanted a House Elf to help her with chores."
"Hehe!" Aaron chuckled. "If it weren't inconvenient, I would definitely give you a thumbs up."
"Is this not going to work either?" Harry frowned unconsciously.
"Nonsense, of course not."
You should know the situation at the Burrow. The Weasley family themselves are struggling financially. Do you think they have the money to pay Dobby a salary?
"I can do it without money," Dobby said Dobby, biting his lip. "Dobby's greatest wish is freedom. Being able to leave the Malfoy family is already a great stroke of luck. I dare not ask for more."
Aaron paused for a moment, then said slowly, "You're quite ambitious, being House Elf. If you don't put any financial strain on them, the Weasley family might not mind taking you in."
However, I still suggest you don't mess with their family. Weasley and Malfoy were already at odds, but they could still restrain themselves.
But if you, Malfoy's former servant, go too far, it would be tantamount to rubbing Malfoy's face into the ground. You know Mr. Lucius; do you think he can tolerate such a humiliation?
He will use his power to constantly pressure Weasley until he agrees to expel you.
"Um..." Harry interrupted, "Aaron, you probably don't know this, but Riddle put Ginny's Diary in Lucius and Flourish and Blotts, and he almost killed Ginny."
In other words, the relationship between their two families is as bad as it gets.
"Harry, I know you don't like Malfoy, but I can tell you with certainty that Lucius absolutely does not know the secret of that diary," Aaron said confidently. "If he wants to target someone, he will only do so within the rules, no matter how much he dislikes them. Moreover, he would never kill a Pure-blood families."
Are you so sure?
"Use your clever brain to think about it. With the Malfoy family's power in the Magic World, is it really that difficult to make Arthur Weasley lose the Ministry of Magic's mandate?"
Harry paused for a moment, thinking about Lucius's attitude toward Minister for Magic Fudge, and it seemed that it wouldn't be difficult for him to make Weasley lose his job first.
But the Reality Stone is that Weasley has always kept the Ministry of Magic standing strong, and has been able to cause trouble for Malfoy from time to time.
This may be related to the fact that he is the head of the Pure-blood Weasley family, but if Malfoy really makes up his mind, the Weasley may not be able to survive in the Ministry of Magic.
Having thought all this through, Harry sighed deeply, "Then there's nothing we can do."
"It's alright, Harry Potter." Dobby slowly shook his head. "Dobby will always find a job."
Besides, I think even if the new work is tough, it's still much better than being a servant in the Malfoy family.
Harry pursed his lips, feeling a little uneasy.
He could sense the regret in Dobby's words, but he was also living under someone else's roof and had no way to help.
"Perhaps you could try contacting Dumbledore," Aaron suggested. "The most powerful White Magic of this century wouldn't be worried about Malfoy's retaliation, and Hogwarts could easily provide a job for the House Elf."
The salary isn't very high, but it includes meals and accommodation, there's no abuse, and... you can quit if you don't want to work there anymore.
Harry and Dobby exchanged a glance, and bright smiles appeared on their faces.
They've all forgotten where they are. Hogwarts can perfectly solve Dobby's problem, and Dumbledore certainly won't refuse.
"Thank you, Aaron," Harry said excitedly, and rushed towards the door with Dobby.
There's still some time before curfew, and if they're lucky, they can finalize things tonight.
Aaron watched Harry and Dobby's figures disappear through the door, and his cheek twitched involuntarily.
Who is this person?
They showed no sincerity when they came, and were so careless when they left, just a simple thank you was all they did.
The next morning, Madam Pomfrey kindly helped Aaron remove his bandages and brought him a particularly lavish and nutritious breakfast, with even Abei receiving four chicken drumsticks.
"It's a bit too extravagant to offer free breakfast at the School Hospital."
Aaron stared blankly at his plate. When Harry was hospitalized, it was just pumpkin porridge, but for him it was fish, meat, eggs, milk, and beans.
Even though he was the only one among the patients who could breathe and speak, this differential treatment still made him somewhat uneasy.
"Professor Snape specifically reminded you that you need to replenish your nutrition," Madam Pomfrey explained with a smile. "Besides, Professor McGonagall announced last night that you are one of the key figures in solving the Secret Chamber mystery, so I have to arrange for you to have a good meal."
"Oh, I see!"
Aaron was touched; his dean really knew how to care for people.
No one else even knows to come and see him, bad review.
Just as he was thinking this, Professor Sprout and Professor McGonagall appeared at the door, carrying several glass bottles emitting white steam, their faces beaming with joy.
"Gaius." Professor McGonagall went to Aaron's bedside, tapped her Wand lightly, and a pile of gifts appeared at the foot of his bed.
"These are all gifts from your friends. Harry even asked me to prepare a fruit basket for you."
They blocked the School Hospital early in the morning, and quite a few people from all four colleges came, but Madam Pomfrey didn't let them in, as it wouldn't affect our efforts to de-petrify the five victims.

Aaron blinked, and for some reason felt a throbbing pain in his cheek. Just as he was about to say something, a white shadow darted into the pile of gifts.
Abei excitedly picked and chose, stuffing all sorts of snacks into his pockets one by one. The pile of gifts dwindled at a visible speed, until only a few bouquets of flowers remained.
Professor McGonagall couldn't help but shrug at Aaron, "I delivered the gift, and I have no objection to having Abei accept it on your behalf."
Aaron forced a smile, then grabbed the smug little dog, Abei, and pulled it in front of him, poking it hard on the forehead twice. "Being greedy is one thing, but at least have some manners when you eat!"
Abei rubbed her forehead, feeling wronged, and immediately took out a box of cookies from her pocket. Her clear eyes looked directly at Aaron: "If you're not full, come ask me for more."
Aaron:...
Just bear with it! After all, it's the Dragon Cub that grew up with me.
"Haha!" Professor McGonagall laughed heartily. "I'm relieved to see you all in such good spirits."
"I'm sorry, Professor, I'm sorry you had to see this," Aaron said helplessly. "Are those Mandrake Potion?"
"Yes, Professor Sprout and Madam Pomfrey concocted this potion last night." Professor McGonagall said, flicking her Wand. A brownish-green potion flew from the bottle and landed on Mrs. Norris, Colin Creevey, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Penelope Clearwater, and Nearly Headless Nick.
The medicine easily dissolved into their bodies, and the petrification quickly subsided.
A few seconds later, Colin Creevey next to Aaron blinked and then let out a Shocker scream.
"Ah! A snake, a huge snake..."
The others weren't in much better shape either. Mrs. Lorris leaped onto the windowsill, Nearly Headless Nick slammed into the wall, and Justin rolled off the bed.
Only Ravenclaw Prefect Penelope Clearwater remained relatively calm. After a slight tremor, she reached into her pocket, presumably looking for her Wand.
"Alright, everyone." Professor McGonagall gestured for them to calm down, her voice carrying a comforting quality. The five patients, who had just recovered, gradually regained their composure.
"The Basilisk harmed you is dead, and the mastermind behind the Secret Chamber incident has been dealt with. Hogwarts is safe."
Upon hearing this, the victims exchanged bewildered glances, momentarily stunned.
"It's really lucky to have escaped with our lives," Aaron said with a smile as he ate his breakfast. "Especially since all five victims survived, it must be Lady Luck's blessing."
"Five victims?" Penelope pondered for a moment, her gaze sweeping across the School Hospital. "But there are six patients here!"
"You should really thank the sixth wounded; it was Gaius who saved you," Professor McGonagall said.
Aaron's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately said, "I only helped find the Secret Chamber. Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione were the main force. They were the ones who were truly indispensable."
Professor McGonagall rolled her eyes at him helplessly, but Aaron glared back without any politeness.
You promised to minimize my presence? Don't you know the victim's voice is countless times louder than everyone else's?
"I knew Harry Potter was framed." Colin, a Harry Potter fanatic, blushed. "He must have saved us and killed that giant snake."
Aaron raised an eyebrow and silently gave Colin a thumbs up in his mind.
It would be best if, after being discharged from the hospital, Harry Potter's great achievements were publicized at school, which would naturally reduce the amount of attention he receives.
