Never Seen Anyone So Shameless
Rows of candles were lit above the Great Hall, illuminating the entire Great Hall.
All the petrified victims were restored with Mandrake Potion. Mrs. Norris lay lazily in Filch's arms, while Penelope, Justin, and Colin sat at their respective college Long Table, chatting and laughing with other students. Sir Nicholas floated back and forth in the air, occasionally greeting people and loudly announcing his return.
Hagrid was also released from Azkaban. He sat in his seat with a smile, his eyes full of satisfaction as he looked at Harry and the others.
The truth behind the Secret Chamber mystery has been uncovered, the murderer has been brought to justice, and the long-standing wrongful conviction that weighed on him has finally vanished.
Of course, all of this was inseparable from Aaron's help. As Dumbledore's most trusted person, he knew the truth in much more detail than others.
Although he wanted to thank Aaron in person, Hagrid glanced at the Slytherin Long Table and, seeing his absent-mindedness, wisely refrained from disturbing him.
Aaron was indeed in a bad mood because there were too many Slytherin girls here.
The thought of those love letters made him feel heartbroken, but to pretend he didn't know, he responded to everyone with a kind, fake smile.
After more than an hour, my face was twitching and it was quite uncomfortable.
At this moment, he suddenly admired Lockhart. Although Lockhart didn't have much talent, his control over his expressions was absolutely insane. Being able to put on a bright smile and sign autographs for fans for hours on end was a talent in itself.
Ding ding ding ding...
Professor McGonagall tapped her glass a few times, and the Great Hall suddenly fell silent.
"Please pay attention, everyone."
Dumbledore slowly rose from his seat. "Before the dinner begins, please give a round of applause to Professor Sprout and Madam Pomfrey. It is thanks to their Mandrake Juice that the petrified people were saved."
Thunderous applause erupted in the room, while Professor Sprout and Madam Pomfrey sat in the High Table with broad smiles on their faces.
"In addition, in light of the recent notice issued by the school, the school has decided to cancel all exams."
Upon hearing this, almost all the students were so excited that they burst into even louder applause than before, except for Hermione Granger, who had a particular fondness for exams and wore a bitter expression. The applause lasted for a long time.
"What a pity."
Aaron shook his head, feeling both happy and regretful.
In order to avoid Defense Against the Dark Arts but still get a good grade for free, he specifically sought out Lockhart for friendly communication, and only after some coercion and enticement was he persuaded to accept it.
However, now that Lockhart has entered Azkaban, it seems there's no need for him to take the Defense Against the Dark Arts this semester.
"There's another piece of bad news," Dumbledore a sigh. "Our Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, Gilderoy Lockhart, has run into some trouble and, barring any unforeseen circumstances, he won't be coming back."
Upon hearing this, everyone present cheered, including the usually stern Professor Snape and Vice Principal McGonagall.
Everyone was in a good mood, finally free from that idiot teacher who could do nothing but make people laugh.
The dinner lasted a long time, until three or four in the morning, when the students finally released the pressure they had accumulated and gradually returned to their dormitories to rest.
Aaron finally felt a sense of relief, but just as he was walking out, Dumbledore stood in front of him.
"Do you have a moment, Mr. Gaius?" Dumbledore smiled kindly. "I'd like to speak with you."
Aaron's first reaction was to refuse, after all, Dumbledore's biggest impression on him was that he was cunning and treacherous, and he knew that going to him would be pointless.
But can he escape the first year of the lunar calendar and then the tenth? Unless he stops attending Hogwarts, Dumbledore, as the headmaster, can find him at any time.
Thinking of this, Aaron immediately put on a smiling face, "Principal, is there anything I can do for you?"
Dumbledore looked at Aaron meaningfully, "Your strength fluctuates, which is almost impossible for other Warlock."
Gaius, your condition is making me very worried!
Upon hearing this, Aaron felt as if a million alpacas were stampeding through his mind.
That old bastard could indeed see through his strength. Luckily, he didn't send his clone over, otherwise it would have been tragic if the bastard had seen through him.
"Thank you for your concern, Principal."
"However, I'm not seriously injured. Last night, during the battle with the Basilisk and Riddle, I forcibly unleashed my body's potential. This is just a minor aftereffect; I'll gradually recover after resting for a while."
Dumbledore, then sighed deeply, "If I had known you would make such a great sacrifice, I should have revealed the truth about the Secret Chamber to everyone last night."
You still have the nerve to bring it up? Those ambiguous words have already caused me a lot of trouble.
Aaron cursed inwardly, but remained calm on the surface. "There's no need for that. Our family's traditions forbid me from being high-profile."
"Alright! I'm relieved to know you're alright." A hint of regret flashed in Dumbledore's eyes. Since they had already brought up their ancestral teachings, he was too embarrassed to put Aaron in the spotlight to draw attention to Harry Potter.
"If you really feel bad about it, Headmaster, why don't you hand the House Cup over to Slytherin?"
Ultimately, it was I, Slytherin, who solved the Secret Chamber mystery.
"This..." Dumbledore's expression changed slightly. "This might be a bit difficult to handle."
Last night I distributed the special contribution reward for the House to the four of you, 200 points each. In other words, Gryffindor has 400 more points than Slytherin. This huge gap cannot be bridged by temporary efforts.
So... the House Cup will be awarded to Gryffindor.
Dumbledore spoke, he noticed the faint smile on Aaron's face, and a hint of embarrassment appeared on his own. "Well, I have something to do, so I'll head out now."
It wasn't that he abused his power for personal gain; it was mainly because the other three houses were being suppressed by Slytherin to the point of being unable to raise their heads.
For seven consecutive years, Slytherin has won the House Cup. If this continues, the other three houses might lose their competitive spirit and give up.
As the principal, he wanted the four colleges to develop in a balanced and simultaneous manner.
Since Gryffindor had just received a 100% bonus, putting them far ahead of Slytherin, he simply went with the flow.
Although it was a bit unethical, the results were still quite good. Whether it was Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff, they all regained their confidence, and Slytherin will also feel ashamed and strive to improve next school year.
Aaron watched Dumbledore figure, speechless, and curled his lip. "I've never seen such a shameless person."
Dumbledore, then quickened his pace and left the Great Hall.
During the remaining days of the summer term, Aaron did not see Dumbledore again, enjoying a rare period of peace and quiet.
He tried to appear in different places with his Thought Form in order to prepare for several elective courses next semester.
He also instructed the Thought Form that while Magic Array should continue to be studied, spells should not be neglected either, and that they should make good use of the Hogwarts Library during the holidays.
Just then, a knock sounded on the door.
Aaron gave the Thought Form a wink, and the entity smiled slightly and cast an Disillusionment Charm on itself.
The door opened, Draco walked in with a dark expression, radiating an aura that warned others to stay away.
"What's wrong? Why are you so Fire Qi?" Aaron asked curiously.
"I have some bad news to share with you." Draco slumped into his chair angrily. "My dad got fired by the School Governor."
Aaron opened his mouth, but then stopped himself from speaking.
Lucius Malfoy caused such a huge commotion, and being fired was actually considered lucky.
"There's no need to be so angry. The position of School Governor member isn't essential to the Malfoy family."
"That's what they say, but those Board of Governors didn't even give a reason."
It's as if they conspired to oust Malfoy from the Board of Governors; it's outrageous!
Aaron hesitated for a moment, but decided to tell Draco that his father had done a good deed, at least to make him understand that Lucius's punishment was not unjust.
A dozen minutes later, Draco's face turned from black to white, and his aura quickly subsided.
"So, the Board of Governors's lack of explanation was actually a way of giving my father face?"
"Otherwise what?" Aaron shrugged. "That Dark Magic item almost killed several people. Although there's no evidence, everyone knows it."
If this matter escalates, Mr. Lucius will probably have to make a trip to the Ministry of Ministry of Magic.
Of course, without evidence, no one has any reason to send the powerful and influential Malfoy to Azkaban, but the aftermath would be quite troublesome.
"Now that we can simply sacrifice the benefits of school, a major problem can be minimized, and a minor problem can be resolved altogether. Mr. Lucius must be incredibly relieved!"
"But why would my dad... he has no reason to do such a thing!" Draco frowned. "I don't understand."
"If you don't understand, go back and think about it slowly, but right now you need to control your temper." Aaron looked at him meaningfully and said, "You are no longer the son of the School Governor chairman, but just a Slytherin with a family background. I hope you can understand that."
Draco nodded silently and left Aaron's dormitory listlessly.
"As expected of me!" Thought Form its true form. "Can't you at least offer him some comfort?"
"Draco isn't that fragile; he'll recover from this in a day or two at most."
Besides, I'm his friend, not his nanny. I can't be expected to consider everything!
"Instead of wasting your time, you should really think about how to arrange your vacation!" Aaron said with a hint of envy and jealousy.
His holiday must have been taken care of by more than twenty ancestors, and he had to struggle in the ocean to make sure he wouldn't drown.
However, the Thought Form can arrange its own vacation. With a Disillusionment Charm, it can leave the castle Silencio, and with Apparition, it can go to even farther places to roam freely.
The Thought Form naturally understood Aaron's meaning and smiled, "You can rest assured about that. If nothing unexpected happens, my activity range will not be too far from Hogwarts."
When I'm bored, I sometimes go to Hogsmeade Village. Only students in their third year and above are allowed to go there, and I'm quite interested in it.
You have to leave the Magic Carpet for me; you won't need it at home anyway.
Aaron rolled his eyes, feeling as if he were the one who was his own alter ego.
"Oh, right." The Thought Form suddenly remembered something and said seriously, "When we left home, we were beginner Magus. We can't have spent a whole year in school and our strength has regressed instead of improved!"
You know how sharp the eyes of our ancestors are, so my personal advice is to raise your strength to a suitable level before you go back, otherwise..."
"Don't say anything more, I'll take care of it before I leave school."
Aaron clutched his chest, feeling a pang of heartache. He knew that without some real skill, he would never be able to fool the memories of his ancestors in the family's Secret Chamber, which meant that his Magic Power was no less than it had been a year ago.
But this means that all the Magic Points he has painstakingly accumulated may be wiped out at once. Although improving his strength is not a bad thing, he still feels particularly frustrated.
