Second-Stage Training
As night fell, Aaron lay listlessly on his bed.
Tutoring classes are one thing, he could grit his teeth and get through it, but his fiancée is outrageous. More importantly, Vico and Lisana didn't ask for his opinion at all.
He genuinely felt exhausted, as if his life had been on fast-forward since he turned eighteen, and now even the overspeed button was faintly visible.
Just lie down!
Aaron pondered this in secret, but a bitter expression quickly appeared on his face.
Although he doesn't want to admit it, he currently only has the conditions to lie down and relax, but not the qualifications.
The inability to refuse tutoring classes, Voldemort's threats, Dumbledore's spying, parents' desire to hold their children (delete this), and so on, all sorts of factors are obstacles on the road to a peaceful life.
"Still too weak!"
Aaron sighed, then opened the system shop.
[Magic Category: Transfiguration (1000 Magic Points, including Animagus); Blank; Blank; Blank; @Guardian Patronus Charm (200 Magic Points)]
[Material Category: @Phoenix Feather (30 Magic Points); @Dragon Blood (20 Magic Points); Mandrake (5 Magic Points); Bezoar (1 Magic Points); @Rhinoceros Rhino Horn (3 Magic Points).]
[Item Category: Blank; @Magic Crystal (100 Magic Points, possesses powerful magic energy, can power Magic Array); Blank; Blank; Blank]
Looking at the large blank product list on the interface, he was both amused and exasperated.
There are only three Magic Points left. Unless you refresh them by category, you will have to wait until you sign in all the days to fill these gaps.
After hesitating for a moment, Aaron focused his attention on the Item Category.
Magic Category items are too expensive. Even if he has good skills, he still can't afford them with his current single-digit capital.
But Item Category are different; with a bit of luck, he might be able to acquire something helpful before the start of the semester.
With the last three Magic Points depleted, the three item slots in the Item Category were also refreshed.
[@Captain Jack's Compass (200 Magic Points, points to what the owner desires most)]
[@Wizard Chess (1 Magic Points)]
[Gerrani's Emerald (50 Magic Points, the person who obtains the emerald will be plagued by misfortune)]
"It's passable!" Aaron murmured.
Wizard Chess can be ruled out immediately; he's not very interested in chess, and besides, it's only worth one Galleon on the market, which he can buy anytime.
Gerrani's Emerald is clearly a swindler; he'll give this windfall to anyone he doesn't like in the future.
However, it Captain Jack's Compass that caught his eye at the end. It was a magical Divine Artifact for finding things, and most importantly, it wasn't expensive.
He and his Thought Form can sign up for six Magic Points every day, and they can buy it in just thirty-four days.
Splash!
Aaron heard the clinking of gold coins in his ears. He turned his head and saw Abei rummaging through his pockets, checking for the last bit of gold and silver he had left.
More than a hundred Gold Galleons, a dozen Silver Sickle, and dozens of Copper Knut were neatly piled on the bed, forming a pyramid shape.
Although it can't compare to the mountain of food, it stands proudly in front of the pyramids, looking quite accomplished.
Aaron couldn't help but laugh at her adorable, silly appearance, which cheered him up considerably.
"Look at you, so pathetic." He pinched Abei's cheek. "Don't forget you've seen the Gaius Family's treasury."
Abei immediately thought of the endless golden mountains she had seen last year, and her eyes lit up with excitement. "Can you go and take a look, Tian?"
"Just enough to fill my pockets, I promise I won't pack too much."
Aaron's lips twitched, then he refused without hesitation.
No one knew Abei's hoarding ability better than him; if it got carried away, the vault might even be breached.
The next morning.
Jeans knocked on the door early in the morning, "Young Master, it's time for you to get up."
Aaron sat up in bed and glanced blankly at the alarm clock: 1:40.
Aaron raised an eyebrow, grabbed the alarm clock, and threw it at the door. "Come wake me up at six o'clock."
The knocking stopped instantly, and Jeans shook his head with a wry smile outside the door.
The current head of the family and his wife are not on good terms. Apart from urging the young master to attend classes and protecting his safety, he has to listen to the young master in everything else.
Twenty minutes later, Aaron changed into simple clothes and came out with Abei.
Jeans first took them to a restaurant for a meal. Both the man and the dragon knew what they would face after the meal, so they didn't care about their table manners.
Aaron devoured the food in a flash and then leaned back lazily in his chair.
As for Abei, he ignored Jeans' warning look and casually invited the House Elf to bring out another table of food.
"Young master, aren't you going to stop it?" Jeans couldn't help but ask. "It's a pound heavier than last year."
"So what?"
It's still a child, it won't hurt it to eat a little more.
The Thought Form had taken two years' worth of food from Abei, so its main body naturally had to compensate it in other ways, at least ensuring it didn't go hungry before returning to school.
As for weight... Jeans will handle it, after all, he managed to make Abei lose a pound last year.
"Well... fine!" Jeans sighed and picked up his notebook. "I'll make another weight loss plan for it, how much it eats and how much it runs."
I installed a brand new treadmill for it, with only one characteristic: it's durable.
As long as it doesn't get tired during training, it doesn't care how much it eats now.
Upon hearing this, Abei, who was eating a fish fillet, moved slightly. Turning around, he saw the familiar little notebook in Jeans' hand and instinctively shivered.
Last year, it was dominated by this thing during its two-month holiday.
After breakfast, Jeans led them to the family's Secret Chamber and skillfully opened the door to the armory.
"This again?" Aaron slapped his forehead, then took a horizontal sword from the wooden shelf. "How many do I need to take on this time?"
Fifteen? Or twenty?
"No need." Jeans revealed a mysterious smile. "That was the original training plan, but ever since you, Young Master Zhiyu, single-handedly killed a giant serpent that had lived for a thousand years, these cold weapon training sessions have become less meaningful."
Therefore, the head of the family specifically instructed me that I could begin the second phase of training for you ahead of schedule.
"The second stage?" Aaron was somewhat bewildered. "If there's a second stage, does that mean there's a third stage as well?"
"Young Master is indeed clever." Jeans snapped his fingers. "Actually, the first stage mainly focuses on improving basic abilities and combat skills."
The young master's physique has been elevated to a level that is difficult for ordinary people to reach by Lord Hog. Unless there is some kind of extraordinary encounter, the growth of his physical fitness will be extremely slow in the short term.
Actually, with the young master's current strength, it might be difficult to defeat one Muggle in a week without using magic, but he could still defeat fifty unscathed.
However, he falls short when facing true masters, such as the king of assassins in the Muggle world or the king of special forces in the military.
Their skills were earned through fierce battles last week. If you face them physically, you might not last ten minutes before losing.
Upon hearing this, Aaron's temper flared up instantly.
Ten minutes? Who do you think you are?
He pointed his sword at Jeans and said seriously, "How about we have a match first? Let's see if I can last ten minutes."
Jeans raised an eyebrow, looking slightly embarrassed, and said, "This isn't appropriate!"
"Perfect match, let's have a friendly spar!"
"I'll go easy on him." Aaron noticed hesitation on Jeans ' face and quickly added, "You can give it your all, but you can't refuse."
"Alright! Since you've put it that way, young master, I guess I have no choice but to agree."
"Don't you use martial arts?"
Jeans shrugged and took a long knife from the shelf. "This one will do! I'm ready."
"Then I won't stand on ceremony."
Aaron raised his sword and walked step by step toward Jeans, the tip of the sword sparking as it scraped the floor.
He had been waiting a long time for this opportunity to openly beat up the Butler. After that, it would be time for the six bodyguards. He would feel bad if he didn't teach them a lesson, as they had been secretly protecting him for over ten years. No, secretly monitoring him.
However, since the Butler had taken good care of him, he still had to save face for him and not embarrass him too much.
Just as Aaron was thinking about how to respect the elderly and care for the young, Jeans threw away the weapon in his hand and very skillfully took out a brown Wand.
Before Aaron could react, a beam of white light struck him.
Aaron dropped his Longsword to the ground and staggered back several steps.
"This is a small lesson: don't underestimate your enemies, but don't think of them as paragons of virtue either," Jeans said calmly, putting away his Wand.
"How come I never realized you were this kind of person before?" Aaron gritted his teeth, his face full of indignation. "You have no sportsmanship at all!"
"My young master, it was you who first disregarded martial ethics!"
I'm saying that if you were evenly matched with a master, you wouldn't last ten minutes against them, but my physical abilities are still far behind yours, young master.
Moreover, my original intention was to remind you that there are always people more capable than you, and that you shouldn't become arrogant and complacent just because you have some strength. But it seems that you didn't listen to me finish speaking.
"Most importantly..." Jeans paused, a hint of melancholy in his voice, "Young Master has grown up, his wings have hardened, but if he wants to hit me, he'd better find a decent reason!"
Aaron blushed and asked awkwardly, "Was my reaction that obvious?"
Jeans nodded seriously, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
"Young master, you may not have noticed, but when you walked over with your sword just now, your smile was particularly sickly."
My personal suggestion is that you go see Lord Flor for some psychological counseling later. We still need to be on the safe side!
"Um... there's no rush."
Let's talk about the second phase of training first!
"Okay." Jeans smiled calmly. "The second phase is to adapt to various extreme environments."
The future is full of uncertainties, and the battle environment cannot always be in the Training Room.
An erupting volcano, a collapsing cliff, a crumbling glacier, even a chaotic city—all could be battlefields.
Gollum!
Aaron swallowed hard and said incredulously, "You mean I have to go to these places next?"
"Yes." Jeans took a gray key engraved with the number two from a bunch of keys. "So, young master, are you ready?"
Aaron:...
Can I say no?
