Not Playing Anymore-This Is Definitely Cheating
Aaron looked up at the magic book in Weihert's hand, then glanced at the young Holy Dragon Accio on the Tianyu board, and fell into deep thought.
He has a huge advantage in this duel; his Magic Power is a level higher than his opponent's, allowing him to not only endure longer but also unleash more powerful magic.
Abei can now transform into a three-meter-long Holy Dragon, with greatly enhanced attack and defense capabilities. The destructive power of his Dragon Breath is no weaker than that of a high-level Magic Array.
Besides, he can use any means necessary, while his opponent can only use elemental Magic Array.
With all three factors combined, the odds of winning seemed high, yet Aaron felt a vague sense of unease.
"What's your decision?" Weihert picked at his ear and said casually, "Don't waste class time. If you don't want to, then forget it."
Upon hearing this, Aaron gritted his teeth, his fists clenching so tightly they cracked.
"I agree."
"You didn't disappoint me." Weihert chuckled, placing the spellbook in his hand into a dark space. "If you don't even have the courage to seize the immediate benefits, you will definitely miss out on even greater benefits in the future."
"I didn't think that much about it." Aaron waved his hand and said in a deep voice, "Fortune favors the bold. No matter what, the bold get rich and the timid starve."
"If I lose this match, I'll just get a beating; if I win, I can earn a magic book. There's no reason not to take the gamble."
After saying that, Aaron waved his hand, and a deep, profound voice came from his mouth.
Abei, who was amusing himself, suddenly paused, then quickly flew over Aaron's head and stared intently at Weihert opposite him.
"Dragon Language?"
"Interesting. Your Butler didn't mention that to me."
"There's a lot you don't know!" Aaron said with some pride. He knew in his heart that if he wanted to win this competition, he would probably have to reveal his trump cards besides his Thought Form.
"Can we begin?" Weihert said nonchalantly. "I'll give you the first chance."
"You'll regret this." Aaron sneered, then took out his Wand and winked at Abei: Cover for me.
Abei nodded slightly, and his size suddenly increased a hundredfold. A holy white light flashed across his massive scales.
However, Aaron took advantage of the 'cover' appearing, lightly tapped his Wand on himself, and disappeared into the ground.
Weihert's combat experience was a thousand times greater than his, and he had never actually fought before. A direct confrontation was the worst possible strategy. The only option was to first test the strength of this ancestor and then adapt to the situation.
Abei roared and spewed out a scorching Dragon Breath.
Wow!
Weihert's lips curled up slightly, and his hands clasped together in an instant.
An ice-blue Magic Array flashed in front of him, and a thick ice wall blocked the flames.
The three-meter-long Holy Dragon coiled and flew, using its sharp teeth and claws as weapons, and launched an attack on the kind-faced old man in front of it.
Weihert neither dodged nor avoided the scene, watching it with a meaningful expression.
A yellow Magic Array slowly rotated beneath his feet, and a row of earth spikes rose from the ground.
Seeing this, Abei had no choice but to abandon his attack and fly upwards, narrowly avoiding the wave of spikes.
Although it was confident that its scales could block the thorns, it was still only a two-year-old child, and the needles still hurt a lot.
Aaron was secretly watching the battle, was stunned. He finally understood why his ancestor Weihert, was so confident. He had almost completely destroyed the instantaneous intermediate Magic Array.
"You have a pretty good Battle Pet, but it's a pity it's too young. Otherwise, it would be really difficult to handle in my current state," Weihert sighed, and soon a look of astonishment appeared on his face. "The Disillusionment Charm is quite good. This is not a spell that Warlock of your age can master."
But here's a piece of advice: never attempt this kind of magic in front of Warlock stronger than you.
"I know." Aaron's voice came from all directions, "But your current strength is a level weaker than mine. Unless you cheat, it won't be so easy for you to find me."
"That's true," Weihert did not deny it, "But that doesn't mean I have no other choice."
As soon as he finished speaking, he raised his right hand upwards.
A few seconds later, a huge blue Magic Array appeared on the Tianyu board.
A light drizzle fell from above, making the entire Chamber of Secrets seem as if it were shrouded in a rain curtain.
"A generous gift!" Aaron couldn't help but roar. "I had no idea that a water-attribute Magic Array could be this powerful, and maintaining this magic must consume a lot of energy!"
"As long as we finish the battle before our Magical Energy runs out," Weihert said matter-of-factly, then looked at the blurry figure soaked by the rain. "I'm looking for you."
A crimson Magic Array appeared, and fierce flames shot out at the figure.
Aaron cursed under his breath and quickly flicked his Wand.
The tip of the Wand emitted a crimson light, and a fierce flame instantly erupted, colliding with Weihert's attack.
Although he can inscribe intermediate Magic Array, it takes him time. It's not as quick and efficient as casting spells. With the Magical Energy power of an intermediate Magus, he doesn't believe he can't deal with a beginner Magus.
However, Aaron's confidence soon crumbled.
The flames released by Weihert gradually grew larger, even overpowering his spell, and their power continued to increase.
"That's impossible, you must have cheated." Aaron couldn't believe it. "A novice Magus's magic power could never be stronger than mine."
"Child, you have no idea what 'possible' means."
A mid-level Magic Array certainly won't work, but a high-level Magic Array might be more suitable. What do you think?
Aaron blinked, then suddenly understood something, and tilted his head to look at the other side.
In the flickering firelight, a red Magic Array could be faintly seen, and red runes appeared on its outer magic ring, and the range was constantly expanding, transforming into a higher-level Magic Array.
"This is even allowed?"
Aaron's eyes widened, still somewhat bewildered.
He was initially quite pleased with himself, after all, being able to create an ultimate Magic Array at such a young age was one in a million, but compared to this ancestor who claimed to be the number one Magic Array master, he was simply trash.
"Of course you can," Weihert said with a smile. "You saw it, didn't you?"
Also, don't overthink it; this is just basic operation from my early days as a beginner Magus.
Aaron looked at the flames that were almost within reach, and his face turned extremely ugly. A head-on confrontation really didn't work!
"Abei, do it."
The Holy Dragon immediately flew behind Weihert and exhaled a breath of Dragon Breath.
Feeling the intense heat behind him, Weihert's lips curled up slightly, and the moment the Magic Array finished, he dodged to the side.
A violent explosion rang out.
Aaron struggled to block the impact of the explosion, panting as he looked at where Weihert had been standing.
However, the flames evaporated all the rainwater falling from the skylight, making it difficult to find a person through the hazy steam.
"Ancestor, are you alright?" Aaron asked tentatively.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
The sound of applause came from the side, shattering any sliver of hope in Aaron's heart.
"Excellent, the timing was perfect."
"No matter how well you aim, it's useless!" Aaron said disappointedly. "If you can't hit it, no matter how powerful it is, it's meaningless."
"Actually, I benefited from it," Weihert said somewhat embarrassedly. "When I was your age, I couldn't have dodged this kind of attack, and even if I had, I would have been seriously injured."
"Then you..."
"Instinctive reaction."
I can only suppress my strength; it's my body's instincts that I can't control even if I want to.
Aaron's lips twitched. "Ancestor, what exactly did you do while you were alive?"
"War," Weihert said casually.
The two words Aaron casually uttered conveyed boundless killing intent. Behind this ancestor seemed to be an endless sea of blood shadows; even describing it as a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood seemed inadequate.
Aaron swallowed hard, his voice trembling as he asked, "How long have you been fighting?"
"More than a thousand years have passed, and I can't remember anymore."
If you're really that curious, just ask your father when he gets back. You'll understand most of the things by then.
"This is ridiculous! You guys should explain yourselves clearly!" Aaron sighed, shaking his head and rubbing his forehead. "You all like to leave things unsaid, don't you?!"
Weihert laughed out loud upon hearing this, "Keeping it from you is for your own good."
Cherish the time you have left! The days ahead will be incredibly exciting, fulfilling, and... thrilling.
Aaron frowned, feeling inexplicably heavy-hearted, as if a burden was weighing on his shoulders.
He was about to ask another question when Weihert interrupted him, "Let's continue our match!"
Aaron didn't object. They could deal with the future later; getting the magic book was the priority right now.
He whispered something, Abei, hearing the sound, flew to his master's side, ready for battle.
"Ancestor, don't say we're bullying you."
You're too strong. Even if we combined our strength, we'd probably only be able to narrow the odds of winning to 40-60.
You have four, we have six.
Aaron was prepared for a protracted battle; his only advantage was his Magic Power and Abei.
Neither his spells nor Abei's Dragon Breath could stop Weihert's Elemental Magic array; the situation would be different if they were combined.
Moreover, Weihert's energy expenditure was much greater than his. He had released several mid-to-high-level Elemental Magic arrays in succession and had to maintain the water attribute Magic Array on the Tianyu board. It was estimated that he only had two-thirds of his Magic Power left.
"Your analysis is spot on. Fighting two against one is indeed quite difficult. Even if I win, it will only be a narrow victory." Weihert said, opening his arms, and a blue-green Magic Array slowly formed in front of him.
Upon seeing this, Aaron was about to cast a spell to stop him, but the howl of a wild beast interrupted his actions.
An Ice Dragon emerged from the Magic Array, exactly the same size as Abei. It roared at the two of them and flew behind Weihert.
Wortefa...
Aaron gasped, pointing angrily at Weihert, "I'm not playing anymore, you definitely cheated."
"Don't make slanderous accusations without evidence!"
"Are you kidding me? Do you think I don't know about Transfiguration?"
"Transfiguration?"
You may have misunderstood something; this is an advanced application of an ice-attribute Magic Array.
It's somewhat similar to Transfiguration, though not quite as good as real Transfiguration, but it's enough to serve as a facade.
Aaron:...
I've made up my mind. I'm going to save up Magic Points and learn Transfiguration.
"I used half of my magic to create this Ice Dragon, so it's definitely not as good as the original, but it shouldn't be a problem to hold off your pet."
It doesn't take much time, an hour is enough.
Upon hearing this, Aaron was immediately enraged, and his fiery temper was almost uncontrollable.
You think you can take him down with less than one-third of your magic power in one hour? There's a limit to how much you can look down on someone!
