Cat and Mouse, Ravenclaw's Seeker
After the New Year, the new semester began, and the students returned to Hogwarts one after another.
News of Harry receiving the Firebolt spread quickly, and Oliver Wood, captain of the Gryffindor House Team, was overjoyed, giving the other team members a much-needed boost of morale.
The Firebolt is a world-class Flying Broomstick; even all of Slytherin House Team's Nimbus 2001 combined cannot compare to it.
Harry is already an excellent Seeker, and with this Flying Broomstick, it would be an absolute injustice if he lost.
Professor Lupin would also teach Harry the Patronus Charm to ward off Dementor, which put them completely at ease. Wood even seized the opportunity to increase the training frequency to once a week.
The training intensity was undeniably high, but none of them complained; on the contrary, they cooperated quite well.
Gryffindor has not won the Quidditch Cup for seven consecutive years, and Wood is graduating this year. His only hope may be to lead the Gryffindor House Team to win the Quidditch Cup before he leaves.
library.
Aaron was working on the blueprints for their secret base when Hermione placed a pile of books on the library table, looking much more anxious than before.
"Tsk tsk tsk!" Aaron's eyes widened slightly. "Arithmancy charts, like a Nicholas dictionary, Muggle diagrams for moving heavy objects..."
Your willpower truly amazes me; you haven't given up even after a whole semester.
"Don't say anything, I feel immense pressure right now."
But I really can't bear to give up these classes. Aren't you tired?
"Perhaps it's because I gave up Arithmancy!"
"You're kidding. I said you're also taking several classes at the same time, but you don't seem as... flustered as I am," Hermione asked doubtfully.
In her elective class, she was racing against time, dragging her tired body to listen to the lecture, take notes, and then face a stack of homework that could reach several inches high. But Aaron seemed particularly relaxed, not only showing no signs of fatigue, but also having time to go for a spin in his spare time.
"This is the difference between top students." Aaron pointed to his head seriously. "I can remember much more than you can imagine."
"What about your homework? How did you manage to do so much homework?"
Of course, it should be given to the Thought Form. Isn't that what the Body is for?
"Of course it was written by hand."
Actually, I've also thought about writing with my feet, but it's a bit too difficult.
Hermione rolled her eyes, speechless. "You're so funny."
"Uh... I'll take that as a compliment."
"Yes, I was praising you." Hermione pushed a stack of notes in front of him impatiently. "Help me check them and see if there's anything I need to add."
Aaron's lips twitched slightly, and he gave an awkward laugh. "How could you possibly ask me to do something like this?"
"As a friend, how can you not help me?" Hermione retorted. "If you don't help me, no one else will."
Aaron was taken aback, and inexplicably felt a little heartbroken.
"Alright! But I can't be the only one doing it!"
"Where are Harry and Ron? Shouldn't you have gone to talk to them first?"
"Harry is busy practicing the Patronus Charm."
"How is he doing in his studies?" Aaron asked curiously.
"Barely." Hermione shook her head slightly. "The Patronus Charm is a very profound magic; ordinary wizards may never be able to learn it."
Harry spent a month trying and could only summon a blurry Patronus, which wouldn't easily knock him unconscious when facing Dementor.
"That's not enough!" Aaron frowned. "There have been at least one Dementor outside Hogwarts at least once a week."
"Yes!" Hermione sighed, "But it's already quite remarkable for a third-year Warlock to have achieved this much; at least there won't be any unexpected incidents in the Quidditch matches."
"Harry is one thing, but what about Ron?"
Asking him to do your homework is a bit of a stretch, but he can certainly check it, right?
"Don't mention him to me," Hermione said indignantly. "His rat, Scabbers, has disappeared."
"That's great!" Aaron said without hesitation, but noticing Hermione's slightly red eyes, he decisively put Abei on the desk. "Uh... Abei wanted to kill Scabbers the first time he saw them."
Abei nodded affirmatively; it certainly didn't like the mouse.
Hermione's mood improved slightly upon seeing this, and she continued, "His suspicion that Crookshanks ate its rats is utterly absurd."
"After all, Crookshanks is a cat," Aaron said with a laugh. "It's perfectly normal for a cat to catch a mouse."
"You also think it's Crookshanks?" Hermione's eyes held a hint of hostility and the pain of being distrusted.
Gollum!
Aaron swallowed hard and immediately changed his tune, saying, "I absolutely abhor this kind of wild speculation about suspects without any evidence."
Although Crookshanks harbors considerable hostility towards Scabbers, since no one has witnessed it firsthand, it might not be him.
"Actually, we found a few orange cat hairs on the floor of Ron's dorm room," Hermione said timidly.
Aaron:...
What's the difference between that and lying through your teeth?
"Well...you might not want to hear this, but if you have time, please prepare a new food ration for Crookshanks, no, I mean, buy Ron a new mouse."
Hermione forced a smile, then lowered her head, looking aggrieved, to organize her homework.
"Fine, I guess I'm just unlucky." Aaron patted his forehead and took out Captain Jack's Compass.
"What's this?"
"A magical Compass that can point to what you think," Aaron said seriously, then stared at the Compass needle. The originally still needle began to slowly rotate and showed no sign of stopping.
"This is?"
"This is good news," Aaron said with a smile. "Scabbers is still alive, and the Compass is pointing to its location. Shall we go find it?"
Hermione hesitated for a moment, then shook her head coldly. "I'm not going. If nothing unexpected happens, Scabbers will run back. I'm waiting for Ron to apologize to me and Crookshanks."
Aaron blinked, wanting to laugh but unable to.
"Wait a minute." Hermione suddenly realized something. "This Compass should also be able to locate Sirius Black Black. If we can catch him..."
Without saying a word, Aaron immediately closed the Compass lid and stuffed it into Abei's pocket.
"Aaron, am I wrong?" Hermione asked, puzzled.
"That's right, but I don't want to cause trouble."
"Trouble? How can this be trouble?"
"This is definitely a problem." Aaron sighed deeply. "Sirius Black is not important, but the person behind him is Voldemort. Although he has not been fully resurrected, it cannot be denied that he has a large number of loyal followers."
I've thoroughly offended Voldemort, but he poses no threat to me now; however, his followers might not be.
"You mean?"
"If they knew I had sent Voldemort's loyal servants to Azkaban, they might seek revenge. There are plenty of desperados among them."
"What if we gave the Compass to Dumbledore..."
"Impossible, absolutely impossible." Aaron refused without even thinking.
He captured Sirius Black Black and threatened him with a small risk, but with his current strength, that risk was negligible.
But if the Compass were given to Dumbledore, the risk would be enormous. He had never truly trusted the character of this Warlock who had held the White Lord's throne for decades.
"Hopefully the Dementor will be able to handle things, otherwise Harry will probably have to stay in the castle for a long time."
"But at least it's safe."
It's Sunday, 11:00 AM.
Quidditch Pitch, Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw.
Harry Potter made a grand entrance riding Firebolt. To protect himself from Dementor, he hid his Wand in his sleeve, making it easy to use the Patronus Charm at any time.
There was nothing that could be done about it; after all, the Dementor had left him with too much of a trauma, and even with Dumbledore present, he still felt somewhat uneasy.
Firebolt are very fast, giving them a significant speed advantage in the game.
Commentator Jordan occasionally interjected with background information on the Firebolt, highlighting its speed, performance, and balance. If they didn't know Jordan's character, they might have suspected he was being paid to advertise for the Firebolt.
"Did Ravenclaw change their Seeker?" Aaron looked at the only girl on the Ravenclaw House Team with some curiosity.
"Her name is Qiu Zhang, Wood said she's an excellent Seeker," Ron said. "But her broom is terrible, nothing compared to the Comet Series or the Firebolt."
"Indeed, the Firebolt are much faster than my Magic Carpet," Aaron said casually. "But that's not what I wanted to say. Don't you think Cho Chang is very beautiful?"
"Hmm... maybe!" Hermione said, blushing slightly, her voice trembling.
"Hmph!" Ron snorted. "At least he's much better looking than someone else."
"Ron, stop being so sarcastic."
Did I say something wrong?
"You two," Aaron interrupted, "Don't misunderstand me, I meant Harry Potter thinks she's beautiful."
Didn't you guys notice? Harry was overtaken by Cho Chang several times in a row. His Firebolt is much faster than the Comet, and Curious was stopped time and time again while chasing the Golden Snitch.
Upon hearing this, the two quickly turned their gaze to the Quidditch Pitch and found that it was indeed the case.
Gryffindor and Ravenclaw fought back and forth, with Gryffindor gaining a slight advantage, but their trump card, the Firebolt, was repeatedly overtaken by the Comet Broomstick and even forced to change course.
"Could the Firebolt really be Curse?" Hermione asked uneasily.
"Harry has test-flown it many times without any problems," Ron said, but his expression turned somewhat uneasy. "That's despicable. Ravenclaw knew they couldn't outrun the Firebolt, so they sent out a brilliant Seeker."
We need to remind him that Wood is still there, otherwise Gryffindor might lose.
"Idiot." Aaron rolled his eyes. He just meant to say that Harry might be interested in that girl, but how did Ron turn it into a honey trap?
"How arrogant of you," Hermione said, looking at him with disdain. "Harry would never be so reckless!"
Ron was about to say something when he heard Madam Hooch whistling, followed by Jordan's commentary: Harry Potter has caught the Golden Snitch, Gryffindor wins.
