The Missing Finger, Human Transfiguration
"Potter, I want to thank you." Snape threw the Invisibility Cloak on the ground and sneered, "I found this under the Whomping Willow. It's very interesting."
"Severus."
Before Lupin could say anything more, Snape pointed his Wand at him and said, "I told Dumbledore you helped an old friend into the castle, and this is the proof."
Even I didn't expect you to still dare to use this old place as your refuge.
"How awful, Snape," Sirius Black scoffed. "Your keen insight has failed you again, leading to another wrong conclusion."
"We won't keep you company any longer; Remus and I still have unresolved matters to settle."
Before Sirius Black could finish speaking, Snape's Wand was pressed against his neck. "Give me a reason, a reason to attack, and I swear I won't hold back."
"Severus, you've really misunderstood," Lupin said urgently. "You're a little late."
"Not too late, we've arrived just in time," Snape said smugly. "They're all here, caught red-handed."
"No, you didn't hear the whole thing. If you understood the context, you would know..."
"You'll know that there will be two more people in Azkaban tonight," Snape interrupted. "I'd like to see Dumbledore's reaction. He's convinced you're harmless and has vouched for you."
"Lupin, he's always been a fool. Explaining to him is a waste of time." Sirius Black looked at Snape with disdain. "You should just stick to playing with your Potions!"
Snape poked Sirius Black's neck forcefully. "I could kill you, but I'll ask the Dementor to do it for me. They're eagerly waiting to see you!"
Upon hearing this, Sirius Black couldn't help but tremble and involuntarily backed away.
He wasn't afraid of Snape, but Dementor were definitely his nightmare.
He had witnessed the horrors of those creatures in Azkaban; they would drain the prisoners' pleasure, and were even more cruel to those on death row, sucking their Soul Stone.
A person without Soul Stone is just a walking corpse, worse than death.
"You seem a little scared."
Dementor's Kiss, just imagine it!
That must have been unbearable; some say the scene was truly horrific, but I still want to feast my eyes on it.
Seeing this, Harry slowly picked up his Wand.
"What do you want to do?" Aaron asked with amusement. "This is Professor Snape's personal grudge. Letting him vent his anger shouldn't be a problem!"
Harry was speechless for a moment, and more importantly, with Aaron watching, he didn't even have a chance to make a move.
"Professor Snape," Hermione said timidly, "It wouldn't hurt to hear them finish speaking, would it?"
"Miss Granger, I advise you to shut up."
You're already facing a suspension from school, and you still dare to plead for a murderer and Werewolf.
"But there really is a misunderstanding." Hermione was extremely anxious, then looked at Aaron, who was full of interest, and grabbed his arm and shook it. "You'd better tell me the truth!"
"Sigh!" Aaron sighed. "Professor Snape, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but please let them finish speaking!"
"Aaron, you shouldn't bother me." Snape frowned slightly. "I can vouch to the headmaster that you won't be punished for the credit for capturing Sirius Black."
"Severus," Sirius Black's voice trembled slightly, "If you bring that rat to the castle, I will go with you to see Dumbledore."
"No way, Dumbledore too kind. I still think you should be handed over to the Dementor directly."
"Professor," Aaron said helplessly as he walked up to him, "Let him finish speaking, and tell us the truth about Harry Potter's mother's murder."
"If you want to know, I can tell you."
Aaron's version of what Snape knew should be the same as the version most people know.
Thinking of the grudges between Snape, Sirius Black, and Lupin, he forced a smile. "Professor, you certainly don't want to miss his struggle before he died."
It's quite interesting to see what other tricks he can come up with to justify his crimes, isn't it?
Snape's expression brightened. "That seems to make some sense."
Sirius Black stared in astonishment, his eyes widening, and felt inexplicably heartbroken.
He opened his mouth, as if to say something, but Lupin interrupted him first.
"Shut up, Black."
Although explaining the truth in this way is somewhat difficult, it's quite remarkable that Snape, who captured them, was even allowed to hear them finish speaking.
Snape used his Wand to corner the two against the wall, Aaron immediately wiped the chair clean. "Professor, please sit down."
Leave the rest to me. You can watch with peace of mind; I promise I won't let you down.
"You have never let me down."
Snape smirked and sat down smugly.
Seeing his two enemies cowering before him, he felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction.
Harry, and his two friends looked at each other in disbelief. "Can they really do this?"
Although something felt off, managing to keep Snape calm was enough to achieve the goal.
"Severus, I will never forget what happened today," Sirius Black said, humiliated.
"That's wonderful, I won't forget it."
Lupin looked at Aaron, "Should we start from the beginning?"
"Uh... let's continue!"
"What did he say before?" Snape asked curiously.
He said Sirius Black, James, and Peter Pettigrew are Animagus.
"It's ridiculous, only seven people registered."
"But I wish it were true. An illegal Animagus is a heinous crime!" Snape said calmly, then immediately realized something. "Is it true? So Black was able to avoid the Dementor?"
"If nothing unexpected happens," Aaron shrugged, then pointed at Scabbers, "They also said that Peter Pettigrew Peter isn't dead, it's that rat."
"They have no evidence." Ron hugged Scabbers nervously. "There are countless rats in the world. Sirius Black is locked up in Azkaban. How are they supposed to know which one to catch?"
"I must say, Weasley, you've really impressed me!" Snape exclaimed.
He simply disliked Ron, but he harbored intense hatred for Sirius Black and Lupin.
"You should have some evidence, right?" Hermione said with a complicated expression. "Black couldn't have come to Hogwarts to kill a mouse just based on a gut feeling, could he?"
"Miss Granger," Snape said irritably, "Watch your words. One is a murderer and the other Werewolf. They are not worthy of being called 'Miss Granger'."
"We'll give you some proof right now. Give me Peter, and my Wand."
"Lupin, you want Wand, right?"
Do you think I'd be so stupid as to return your Wand to you?
"Giving just that mouse is fine too," Sirius Black said, a bloodthirsty glint in his eyes.
Scabbers immediately struggled violently, making squeaking noises, but was firmly suppressed by Ron's large hand.
"No, absolutely not." Ron immediately refused. "You'll kill Scabbers. Look how scared it is."
"Black, is there any other evidence?" Lupin said speechlessly. "Do we need evidence that directly leads to Peter?"
Sirius Black hesitated for a moment, then pulled a folded piece of paper from his robe and unfolded it to show everyone.
"The Daily Prophet?" Aaron looked at Ron. "If I'm not mistaken, it should be a Weasley family portrait!"
"These are photos from our family's trip to Egypt," Ron asked, puzzled. "Why did you take them out?"
"This is from Fudge, when he was inspecting Azkaban," Sirius Black explained. "Peter probably never imagined I'd find him in a photograph; he was perched on your shoulder."
Aaron took the photo and compared it to Scabbers. "That's right, Ron. You'd better keep a close eye on your rat."
"You also think it's Peter Pettigrew?"
"That's him. Look at his front paw, isn't it missing a toe?"
Twelve years ago, only one of Peter's fingers was found at the crime scene.
"That coward cut it off and made people think he was dead," Sirius Black said. "The last moment before he Transfiguration, he yelled that I had betrayed Lily and James, and then he killed everyone within twenty feet and scurried into the gutter with the other rats."
"What a talent! He's really ruthless to himself just to save his life," Aaron sighed. "I think we should just kill him now; keeping this kind of rat around is just asking for trouble."
"Let's draw up a contract afterwards, and keep what happened tonight a secret."
"Excellent." Sirius Black looked at Aaron with appreciation. "I am very grateful. Please let me do it."
"Wait a minute," Snape interrupted.
"Severus, we've already said all this, don't you understand?" Lupin said speechlessly, "Is it really worth it just because of some past grudges from the school days?"
Imprisoning innocent people in Azkaban while letting the real culprits go unpunished?
"I think I understand now. As far as I know, Black is their protector," Snape said disdainfully. "If he hadn't betrayed them, the You-Know-Who wouldn't have been able to cross the Fearless Fidelity Charm to find them."
"It was because I persuaded them to change to a Boonist at the last minute. I thought I could divert Voldemort's attention to me. No one would have thought that Peter Pettigrew would become a Boonist."
"When I saw their bodies, I realized what Peter had done, and what I had done—it was as if I had killed them." Sirius Black's hoarse voice gradually choked up, as if revealing the truth had drained all his strength.
"Now you understand?" Lupin shrugged. "If you still don't understand, then give me your Wand, and I'll make him reveal his true form."
Snape frowned and looked at Ron. "Give it to me."
"Can..."
"Don't make me say it a second time, Weasley."
"Ron, give him the mouse," Harry said.
Ron was on the verge of tears. "Professor Snape, what are you going to do with it?"
"I just want to see if the truth is what they say." Snape stood up, took the struggling rat from Ron, and then pointed his Wand at it.
A flash of blue light appeared, and the rat rapidly grew larger, undergoing tremendous changes in its body, head, and limbs.
This was a short, fat man with messy hair, a bald patch in the middle, rat-like features on his face, dirty and wrinkled skin, and an overall aura of sleazy demeanor.
