Suddenly, the sound of cannons rang out.

The five Champion inside the tent exchanged a glance and then went out together.

As they entered the paddock, hundreds of spectators cheered. Students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang chanted the names of Phoebe and Krum respectively, while three distinct voices of support emerged from Hogwarts.

The enclosure is fan-shaped and contains irregularly shaped rocks of various sizes. To facilitate the Champion' movements, Undetectable Extension Charm has been cast inside, making the space much larger than it appears.

Gollum!

Harry looked at the Hungarian Horntail, its wings folded and crouching low to guard the Dragon Egg, and couldn't help but swallow hard.

His only preparation for this match was a Summoning Charm. If he wanted to get the Golden Egg from the pile of Dragon Egg, he would first have to lure the Tree Peak Dragon away.

"Don't be nervous, look how calm they are," Aaron comforted them.

"They are all seventh graders, meaning they have received three more years of magical education than us."

I only have one Flying Broomstick, and if I weren't nervous, how big would my heart be!

"That's true." Aaron raised an eyebrow and hesitated before saying, "Actually, I was just about to say that you have an Invisibility Cloak, but you didn't bring it."

"Wortefa..."

Harry felt a sudden, Cruciatus Curse before, but at that moment he was certain that he had been cursed with the Unforgivable Curses.

It hurts so much, it's so cold and painful.

He could think of using Summoning Charm to summon Firebolt, but he forgot that he had a magical item that was even more useful than Firebolt.

"Uh... you're not alright, are you?"

"No, I'm fine," Harry said, forcing a smile.

"That would be best." Aaron put Abei down. "Leaving me here is enough. You go find your older sister first!"

Abei glanced at the Antipodean Opaleye Dragon in the enclosure, bared his teeth at it, and then turned and left.

"Next, please welcome our five Champion to the field." Ludo Bagman blew his whistle as he acted as the commentator from the referee's seat.

"Everyone, stay safe." Aaron strode towards Zone 4, saying as he went, "I'll give you a little help if necessary."

"I hope we can all get the Golden Egg safely!" Cedric sighed, then headed towards Area One.

Phoebe and Krum headed towards Zones 1 and 3 respectively.

Harry gripped his Wand tightly and shakily entered Area 5.

Despite being the last to enter, he was the fastest, raising his Wand as soon as he took his first step.

"Firebolt Accio."

The Firebolt shot out of the tent at lightning speed, and within seconds it was in Harry's hand.

He didn't dare to delay for a moment, flipped himself onto the broom, pushed off the ground with both feet, and soared into the air.

Only when he was steadily flying in mid-air did he feel a strong sense of security.

The Seeker's forte is flight, and even when facing the Hungarian Horntail Dragon, he is full of confidence.

Next, all he needs to do is lure the Tree Peak Dragon away and find an opportunity to catch the stationary Golden Egg (the Golden Snitch), and he will have won the match.

"My God! Firebolt, Flying Broomstick!" Ludo Bagman shouted from the judges' stand. "Yes, flying! Harry Potter has found what he does best."

It's so simple, a single Summoning Charm can do the trick, yet many people haven't thought of this.

Keep in mind that four of the five Champion are Seeker, including Viktor Krum, and none of them ever considered using flight.

However, this doesn't rule out the possibility that they have better methods.

In Zone One, Cedric used Transfiguration to attract the attention of the Swedish Short-Snout Dragon. He transformed a rock into Newfoundland Dog and commanded it to slowly move towards the Dragon.

The Hufflepuff in the audience were chanting Cedric's name. Professor Sprout was both excited and nervous. This was their Hufflepuff's best student, and they certainly wouldn't let him down.

"Transfiguration, a very clever method," Ludo Bagman explained. "The chances of success are high. After all, the opponent is Swedish Short-Snout Dragon. Besides being careful, we also need a bit of luck."

Phoebe Delacour in Zone 1 faced Welsh Green Dragon, and she carefully used her Veela bloodline to cast a hypnotic spell.

She dared not use Sleeping Charm directly on the Dragon; relying on her own strength would only enrage the Dragon and unleash its ferocity.

Therefore, the magic she is currently casting is gradual, allowing the dragon to slowly feel sleepy and enter a state of light sleep.

Krum from Zone 3 was rather reckless, directly attacking the Chinese Fireball's eye with a spell, which was the most vulnerable part of the dragon's body. He planned to take advantage of the Dragon's painful roar to seize the Golden Egg.

"Very daring, Krum has shown extraordinary courage!" Ludo Bagman shouted, and the audience gasped in unison at the way he did so.

Karkaroff smiled with satisfaction from the judges' stand. He had specifically taught Krum this spell, as it was the most effective way to deal with dragons.

Compared to the four bustling competition zones, Aaron's Zone 4 was much quieter.

He looked at the most beautiful Antipodean Opaleye Dragon dragon and couldn't help but chuckle.

It looks quite dazzling, but it's incomparable to the Holy Dragon he raises.

"Same aura as you, not a dragon tamer." The eggshell-eyed man slowly opened his pupil-less eyes, curiously scrutinizing the seemingly harmless Aaron before him. "Who are you?"

Hearing this, Aaron breathed a heavy sigh of relief. Being able to speak properly meant that communication was possible.

He originally intended to reveal his Disillusionment Charm and Illusion Magic if they couldn't reach an agreement, but he was fairly confident that he could succeed.

Knowing that his opponent might be a five-headed dragon, he felt that his Dragon-Slaying Magic might not be able to be hidden anymore. However, it seems that perhaps a gentler approach could solve the problem.

"Aaron Gaius," Aaron uttered in a difficult-to-understand syllable, replying in Dragon Language, "I am a Dragon Speaker."

What brings you here?

"You're guarding a dragon Dragon Egg, and one of it is a fake dragon. I need it to pass this competition..."

Roar! [Get lost!]

The Antipodean Opaleye roared, spewing bright red flames from its mouth. Its target was not Aaron, but the azure sky.

It dislikes killing and is willing to give face to the Dragon Speaker, but when it comes to protecting the dragon Dragon Egg, it, as the Mother, cannot remain calm.

"I'm telling you, it's true," Aaron patiently explained. "Your egg is grayish-white, and there's a golden one inside. That's not your offspring; it's just a special magical item."

The Antipodean Opaleye was clearly taken aback, a look of doubt flashing in his pupils.

It lowered its head, glanced at the pile of eggs, and found a bright patch of gold.

Now it believes the Dragon Speaker's words; the egg must have been put there by the dragon tamers while it was asleep.

However, dragons all like Winky, golden things, and even the Dragon Speaker cannot allow it to give away its Golden Egg.

What can you give me?

What?

Aaron's lips twitched, and he quickly remembered the dragon's true nature.

Getting a dragon to spend money is no different from pulling teeth from a tiger's mouth, unless you are its owner or can offer it greater benefits.

"That depends on what you want."

Furthermore, I must remind you that the egg isn't yours to keep; even if I gave you something, you might not be able to guard it.

The implication was clear: giving money was definitely out of the question; I could only satisfy your basic needs.

Upon hearing this, the Antipodean Opaleye fell silent.

It's not some wild dragon, it's just that it's been kept by Warlock.

"Send me a sheep every day for a month," wrote an Antipodean Opaleye.

Aaron:...

Okay! This is a rather ignorant dragon.

"Deal, but I can't give it to you now."

"I'll have someone deliver it to you after the match."

The Antipodean Opaleye nodded, took out the Golden Egg, and rolled it to Aaron's feet.

Its identity as Dragon Speaker prevented it from harboring any hostility towards Aaron, but what truly made it trust it was the aura of being one of its kind emanating from him.

Through that sacred and joyful aura, it could sense that the dragon Dragon Speaker before it was definitely a wealthy lord.

Aaron didn't pick up the Dragon Egg; instead, he used a Levitation Charm to push it away. "You keep it for me for now! I might not have time to protect this egg later."

After saying that, he casually found a place to sit and quietly waited for the others to decide the winner.

The Antipodean Opaleye wasn't particularly aggressive, and once an agreement was reached, the matter was considered settled. However, among the other four groups, the Hungarian Horntail and the Chinese Fireball seemed quite angry, and he wasn't confident that his status as Dragon Speaker would stop them from fighting.

In less than an hour, Aaron had defeated his opponent.

This move stunned the audience, and Ludo Bagman was speechless for a moment, not knowing how to explain it.

He had thought of many cool combat techniques and many difficult spells, but he never thought of this kind of unbelievable way to pass the game.

"Ahem!" Dumbledore coughed. "Ludo Bagman, say something!"

"I... how can I explain this?"

"Say what you see." Adrian chuckled with amusement. "Jeans did tell me he speaks Dragon Language, but what's coming next won't be something that can be resolved through communication."

"Dragon Language?" Ludo Bagman realized something, his eyes widening in astonishment. He immediately picked up the megaphone and explained to the audience, "Dragon Language, this is the language of dragons. Gaius can actually communicate with dragons. In this project, he has a huge advantage over everyone else."

Such talent is rare even in the history of Warlock; I bet those dragon tamers must be green with envy.

Indeed, that was the case. At the edge of the paddock, ready to handle any emergencies, Charlie Weasley and the others all turned their envious, jealous, and hateful gazes toward Aaron.

Maxime and Karkaroff were also quite surprised, after all, Dragon Speaker were extremely rare in the Magic World, and would be honored guests in any dragon farm.

They were immediately enraged; putting a Dragon Speaker in the First Task was no different than sending him a dog.

"Miss Klein," Maxime said coldly, "I personally think there's something wrong with this First Task."

"Of course there's a problem," Karkaroff said sarcastically. " For Dragon Speaker to participate in this kind of competition, just stepping onto the field is like winning half the battle. If that's all there is to it, I can only give him a six out of ten."

"Principal Maxime, Principal Karkaroff." Adrian waved his hand dismissively, "It's your business, it has nothing to do with me."

However, I hope you'll watch the rest of the match, since Gaius hasn't left the field yet, has he?
