Senior Inquisitor, Find a Qualified Teacher
"These two books are for you." Aaron placed the Light Element Magic Book and the Shadow Element Magic Book on the desk. "Jeans has taken care of it. Our ancestor Weihert, has finally decided to teach us magic."
"That's great," the Thought Form said, sounding slightly excited. "But you don't seem very happy."
"During the Summer Holiday, Weihert Vicht will test my learning progress in these two types of magic, and if nothing unexpected happens... the testing method won't be very friendly to me."
"There are gains and losses!" the Thought Form comforted her. "All things considered, we didn't really lose out."
"It's easy for you to talk when you're not the one suffering." Aaron curled his lip. It was he who was taking tutoring classes at home, and it was he who was getting beaten up. It had nothing to do with the Thought Form.
The Thought Form chuckled and then opened the magic book.
"Light Element Magic, dark element magic..."
"A generous gift of crabs! This must have been intentional!"
"That's what I think too," Aaron said with a wry smile. "We'll all have to work harder this school year. These two types of Magic Array are relatively unfamiliar to us, and it will take more effort to master them."
"Isn't this like shooting yourself in the foot?" the Thought Form said dejectedly. It had taken them four years to barely master five elements, and now that two more had suddenly appeared, their workload had increased dramatically.
"It's no use talking about this now. To avoid getting beaten up as much as possible during Summer Holiday... let's work hard!"
Aaron sighed softly, picked up a piece of draft paper, and began to study the methods of using the two elemental magics, light and darkness.
The next day, in the Great Hall.
While the students were having breakfast, the sound of Professor McGonagall and Dolores Umbridge arguing could be heard outside.
Upon hearing the sound, many students put down their cutlery and left the Great Hall.
"Excuse me, Professor, what exactly are you implying?"
"I am only asking that when you punish my students, you must strictly follow the established school rules and act reasonably and impartially."
"Did I hear that right? You seem to be questioning my authority over my students, Minerva."
"I absolutely did not mean that. I was referring to your corporal punishment of students."
"I'm sorry, my dear," Dolores Umbridge sighed softly. "Your questioning of my methods is tantamount to questioning the Ministry of Magic, or in other words, questioning Minister Arihant."
I am a tolerant and magnanimous person, but there is one thing I absolutely cannot tolerate: disloyalty to the minister.
"Disloyalty to the Minister...?" Professor McGonagall was taken aback. In her memory, Hogwarts had never required loyalty to the Minister for Magic.
Dolores Umbridge turned around and looked at the group of students emerging from the Great Hall, saying, "Hogwarts is in much worse shape than I expected, Cornelius will definitely take action immediately."
"Such an imposing air of authority!" Aaron clicked his tongue as he returned to the Great Hall. "Even if the Ministry of Magic wanted to interfere at Hogwarts, they wouldn't do it this blatantly!"
"You didn't know?" Draco asked, somewhat surprised.
"Know what?"
"The Ministry of Magic has issued Educational Decree Number Twenty-Three, appointing Dolores Umbridge as Hogwarts High Inquisitor."
"An investigator?" Aaron frowned slightly. "Investigating what?"
"Investigating fellow teachers, in other words, she has the right to review the teaching qualifications of other teachers."
Upon hearing this, Aaron opened his mouth in astonishment, then sneered, "What dirty politics! Has Fudge become so shameless?"
If we're reviewing teaching qualifications, then Dolores Umbridge should be the first one to be dismissed.
I had already read all the Defensive Magical Theory she taught before I started school, so I still had to diligently practice the spells I was supposed to learn.
Draco couldn't deny that Fudge's actions in order to control Hogwarts by issuing the Educational Laws were something he found distasteful.
"Never mind, she's vetting teachers, it doesn't really concern us."
"Let me remind you again, don't meddle. Dolores Umbridge's downfall is inevitable, so please don't get involved."
"I understand." Draco nodded, but his expression seemed a little unnatural.
Article 24 of the Education Regulations prohibits playing music during study time...
Article 30 of the Education Charter prohibits the immediate sale of all Weasley products...
Article 45 of the educational charter stipulates that one should maintain good attire and etiquette at all times and in all places...
Dolores Umbridge had completely gone too far. In addition to frequently appearing in other professors' classes with her little quiz, she kept adding various rules and regulations, as if she were the headmistress of Hogwarts.
Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, Professor Flitwick, and Professor Grubbly-Plank were unfazed by her scrutiny and were able to answer her questions calmly outside of their classroom teaching.
However, during the Divination, Professor Trelawney seemed to be deliberately targeted.
"I hope you will make a Prophecy for me," Dolores Umbridge said with a smile.
It must be said that this is asking the impossible, because truly effective Prophecy cannot be made casually, and what is seen in Crystal Ball is only one of countless possibilities.
According to Dumbledore, no more than five Prophecy were completely accurate in the ten years that T. Launey taught.
"The Heavenly Eye will not look under orders," Professor Trelawney said solemnly.
"What a pity." Dolores Umbridge made a few notes on her writing board.
"No, wait, wait." Professor Trelawney hurriedly stopped her, though she was furious, because her job was in the hands of this High Inquisitor.
Circumstances are beyond our control; if we don't follow this Prophecy, we might lose our jobs.
"I think I saw something."
Yes, I saw something dark. You are in very serious danger.
"Interesting, if that's all you can do at best." Dolores Umbridge raised an eyebrow slightly, a smug smile on his face, and casually scribbled something on the whiteboard.
Gryffindor common room.
"That wretched old hag!" Hermione cursed angrily. "We can't learn how to protect ourselves, we can't learn how to get past O.W.L.s, she's taken over the whole school."
"But what can we do?" Harry said dejectedly. "She's a high-ranking investigator sent by the Ministry of Magic now, and Dumbledore can't do anything about her for the time being."
"We have to take action. If Dolores Umbridge is unwilling to teach us, then we'll just have to do it ourselves."
"What are you doing?" Ron asked.
"Learn Defense Against the Dark Arts."
"Spare us!" Ron said listlessly. "We still have a ton of homework, Harry has to deal with Dolores Umbridge's detention, and I've signed up for Gryffindor's Quidditch team."
Hermione, I don't want to say this, but it's only been two weeks, and we already have a lot on our plate.
"Learning defensive magic is more important than homework," Hermione said seriously. "You-Know-Who could come back at any time. If we don't even have the ability to protect ourselves, how are we going to face him and those terrible Death Eater?"
"You mean... we should go to the library and find some spells to practice on our own?" Ron said.
No, that's not enough.
What we need is a teacher, a teacher with rich combat experience who can give us proper guidance.
"But who can we ask?" Harry frowned slightly. "The teachers at school are definitely out of the question. Umbridge keeps a close eye on them."
Sirius Black can't show his face, Moody and Professor Lupin are busy with the Order of the Phoenix Society, and Mr. Weasley...
"No, I'm not talking about them," Hermione interrupted. "What do you think of Aaron?"
"He?"
Harry and Ron exchanged a glance, then fell into deep thought.
"I certainly trust Aaron's abilities," Harry said hesitantly. "Some professors might not even be as good as him, but..."
"But he might not be willing to teach us," Ron chimed in.
"He said that if I have any questions, I can go to him."
"He meant guidance, but... what we need is a teacher!" Harry forced a smile. "I don't think he'll have that much time."
We have to give it a try!
"Harry." Sirius Black's voice suddenly came from the fireplace.
The three turned their heads and saw Sirius Black's head appear in the crimson flames.
"Why are you here?" Hermione glanced around with some concern, and only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that no one else was there.
"I'll reply to Harry's letter," Sirius Black said. "It's the safest way I can think of."
"You wrote him a letter?" Hermione looked at Harry reproachfully. "Don't you know that our letters might be intercepted by the Ministry of Magic?"
"I just wanted to know how Hagrid is doing," Harry said guiltily. "Besides, my letter didn't mention ' Sirius Black,' it said 'cold,' so no one will notice."
"It is indeed well written," Sirius Black praised. "Hagrid, you don't need to worry. He and Madam Maxime went back to their hometown, but they got separated on the way back. There is no danger on their part. I believe you will see him soon."
"You said you were worried about Umbridge, what is she up to?"
"Train you to kill Half-blood hybrids?"
"She won't let us use magic at all," Harry said indignantly.
"I'm not surprised," Sirius Black said calmly. "The latest intelligence says Fudge doesn't want you to receive combat training."
"Combat?" Ron asked, puzzled. "Does he think we're going to build Warlock army?"
"That's what he thought. He believed that Dumbledore was gathering his own forces to fight against the Ministry of Magic."
"This is ridiculous, this is too much!" Hermione exclaimed in disbelief. "Just because of this, he won't let us use magic and has arranged for Umbridge to take over our Defense Against the Dark Arts."
Fudge's paranoia was getting worse and worse; he felt that Dumbledore would stop at nothing to take away his power.
"So we're going to find a teacher ourselves," Hermione said matter-of-factly, then looked at Sirius Black, "The three of us agree that Aaron is the most suitable."
"Him?" Sirius Black paused, then asked doubtfully, "Are you sure? He's Slytherin!"
"Not at all?"
"No, it's not that we don't want to," Sirius Black hurriedly said. "If he's willing, then it would be perfect."
"We'll convince him," Hermione said confidently.
Harry and Ron exchanged glances, and since they didn't want to discourage Hermione, they could only nod in agreement.
Achoo!
Aaron, who was in the Divine Thunder Hall, suddenly sneezed, and the black Magic Array in front of him collapsed, turning into specks of black particles and dissipating.
"What's wrong?" The Thought Form, which was enchanting the bullet three times, stopped. "Don't tell me it's a cold. With our current constitution, we're not immune to all diseases, but we should be immune to colds for the rest of our lives."
"I don't know, maybe some beautiful girl is thinking of me!" Aaron smiled nonchalantly. "How's it going?"
"Not very good." The long- Thought Form sighed. "Flintlock Gun bullets are relatively easy to make, but the bullets for the revolver and those two Sniper Rifle are more complicated to make. Without using Fantastic Beasts feathers as auxiliary materials, they can barely be enchanted three times."
"Can using Fantastic Beasts's feather achieve the power of four enchantments?"
"No, the increase is limited." The Thought Form slowly shook its head. "Unless there are more precious materials, and using the feathers of Fantastic Beasts for three enchantments consumes more resources than one enchantment. On average, one feather can only make one bullet."
"Hiss!" Aaron couldn't help but gasp. He'd better be careful with these bullets from now on, otherwise he wouldn't have enough money to buy materials.
"Oh, right, and that automatic pistol," the Thought Form reminded them.
"No need for that," Aaron interrupted immediately. "Replenishing bullets with our own magic is already quite efficient. There's no need to waste materials. We really can't afford to play like this anymore."
"Beat it!"
The next day, at the library.
Aaron sat by the window, drawing a complex array on his notebook with a quill pen.
"Aaron, we..." Harry and his two companions walked over, but his voice trailed off halfway through, because a Slytherin witch was standing next to Aaron.
She glared at Harry, then looked at Aaron with apprehension, "Senior, I have class this afternoon, so I'll be going now."
After the Slytherin witch left, Harry scratched his head awkwardly. "Did we bother you?"
"No."
"Who is she?" Ron joked.
"Xilin Mack, a Slytherin Class 4 student."
This mutism has nothing to do with you!
"Uh..." Ron immediately pointed to Hermione standing next to him, "I asked for her."
"This groin has nothing to do with her!"
"Yes." Hermione's two delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly, and she forced a smile. "It has nothing to do with me."
"Excuse me for asking, what does she want with you?"
"The key to casting the Silencing Charm," Aaron said wearily. "Since becoming Prefect, I get seven or eight students asking me questions about their studies every day."
"If high-level Warlock didn't still have some sense of shame, I think I'd be driven crazy by these people."
"Oh! I see." Hermione nodded thoughtfully, her smile no longer stiff.
"Alright, get to the point." Aaron slowly closed his notebook. "My past experience tells me that the three of you coming to me together will definitely solve everything."
The three people:...
