Going to the Ministry of Magic, a Spectator's Self-Awareness
Aaron gathered the items he could use and then opened his personal panel.
[Host: Aaron Gaius]
[Magical Energy: Body: 7483, Intermediate Archmage; Thought Form: 7483, Intermediate Archmage; Total: 14966 (Beginner Grand Archmage, a rare and exceptional existence in the Magic World)]
[Talent: Once in a Millennium (Increases Magical Energy by 4 points daily, Physical Strength by 2 points, and Thought Form Strength by 2 points)]
[Items: Resurrection Potion (can revive any object that died within one hour), Magic Carpet, Captain Jack's Compass, Nika Mask...]
[Magic Points: 810]
Looking at the number after the Magic Points, Aaron sighed regretfully.
If we save up for another twenty days, we can buy the Díloúsi's Tooth. But plans often change, and at this point, every bit of strength we gain will ensure our safety.
"System, allocate all Magic Points to Magical Energy!"
", host."
As soon as she finished speaking, her Magic Points were instantly reduced to zero.
Aaron and the Thought Form both felt their magic power increase, but they were still some distance from becoming High-level Archmage.
"The improvement isn't significant, but it's better than nothing," Aaron thought to himself, then opened the system panel.
[Be a responsible Prefect (from now until the end of the second semester); 1200 Magic Points reward for completing the task, no penalty for failure; Accepted]
When Aaron looked at the number of Magic Points awarded for completing the task, he inexplicably felt a pang of pain in his liver.
He had finished all his final exams, and there were only a few days left until the end of the semester. In other words, the four-figure reward was within his grasp, but it was also out of reach today.
With those four-figure Magic Points to support him, he would be Intermediate Grand Archmage, and wouldn't have to be hesitant or timid about doing anything.
"Danger! There's been a murder at the Ministry of Magic. The Death Eater will kill someone."
Just as Aaron was lamenting how far away 1,200 Magic Points were from him, the Book of Prophecy suddenly made Prophecy.
"Wortefa!" Aaron couldn't help but curse. "Is this some kind of torture?"
"I told you that its Prophecy wouldn't be anything bad."
"Now we have no choice but to go. Who knows which Death Eater will be the one to kill us?"
The Thought Form nodded, then drew its white Wand. "The Book of Prophecy, Accio."
An ancient Book of Prophecy flew down from the throne, the face on the cover of which was showing an expression of fear.
"Just in case, let's bring this along too!"
Aaron didn't stand on ceremony. He grabbed the Book of Prophecy and rushed out of the Divine Thunder Hall, with Abei following closely behind his master.
He reached the dormitory in less than five minutes through the long secret passage, and then ran out of the lounge in a very short time.
It was already curfew, and Hogwarts was especially quiet in the darkness.
Pushing open the door to the rest room, Abei immediately spread his wings, using his two front paws to support Aaron under his arms and lift him into the air.
The white wings were very eye-catching in the night, but no one noticed this scene.
Once outside the Hogwarts area, Abei gently placed Aaron on the ground.
"You go ahead first, I'll summon you when I need you."
Abei clenched her claws and shook her head firmly. "I want to go with them so I can protect my master."
Hearing this, Aaron felt a little comforted and chuckled as he rubbed Abei's dragon head. "After all, that's the Ministry of Magic. It would be too much to imagine someone leading a dragon that has never appeared in the Magic World to fight against Death Eater."
"Go and wait obediently. I'll only call you when it's absolutely necessary, understand?"
After saying that, Aaron didn't give it a chance to react and Apparition away from the spot.
Ministry of Magic.
With a soft sound, Aaron appeared on the ninth underground floor, in the Department of Mysteries.
"It's finally here!"
He sighed softly, then took out Captain Jack's Compass and skillfully cast the Disillusionment Charm and the Iron Armor Charm on himself.
He was very proficient in offensive spells, but his early education in magic made him more familiar with the magic that the two old men, Lao Liu and Lao Gou, had to learn.
Upon entering the first black door, one finds twelve identical doors within the circular room.
The Compass needle spun wildly, finally pointing to one of the doors.
Aaron cautiously approached the doorway, where he heard various chanting sounds. "Incarcerous, Stupefy, Impedimenta..." In addition to these, there was also a witch's maniacal laughter.
"A free-for-all?" Aaron raised an eyebrow, took out his Wand, and pointed it at the door. "Alohomora."
No one noticed that the door opened Silencio, and no one noticed that there was an extra person in the room.
When Aaron entered, he saw Harry and his six friends holding Wand, back to back, standing before an eerie archway emanating an aura of death, with several wisps of black mist swirling above them.
The standoff didn't last long before the black mist descended, and the six frantically waved their Wand, but to no avail.
Ron, Ginny, Neville, and Luna were each swept away by a cloud of black mist and taken in an unknown direction.
Hermione screamed and pulled the trigger. A bright silver light suddenly shot out from the muzzle, dispelling most of the black mist rushing towards her.
"Impedimenta!"
A barrier formed between the black mist and the silver light, but this barrier shattered in an instant, and the Death Eater was sent flying backward, sliding several meters on the ground before coming to a stop.
"Antonin Dolohov".
Aaron recognized the Death Eater as one of the escaped Death Eater from Azkaban.
"What is that?" Antonin asked, regaining his composure and staring at Hermione with apprehension.
"A weapon," Lucius said, stepping forward. "Before your escape, several Death Eater died on this weapon."
"Is that so? He would be very happy if we presented it to his master," Antonin sneered.
"It's a pity that the Dark Lord once had it, but couldn't use it," Lucius said with a sigh, then looked at Harry in front of the arch with a playful expression. "The game is over, Potter."
You can't possibly believe, you're really naive enough to think, that a bunch of kids have a chance of beating us, can you?
"Don't come any closer." Hermione, pointing the gun at Lucius with a trembling voice.
"Tsk tsk tsk! Miss Granger, do you think you can scare me?" Lucius shook his head dismissively. "I know this weapon just as well as you do. It unleashes powerful magic by absorbing other magic."
Although it is difficult to use, its attack methods are relatively simple, so it is not too difficult to hide if you prepare in advance.
Furthermore, I don't believe you can use it a third time with your current level of magic power. Even if you could, you'd be exhausted afterward.
"Then you can try?" Hermione's face turned pale, but she still mustered her courage and said, "He only gave me three bullets, and the last one was made from Thunderbird Tail Feather, which is much more powerful than the first two."
Antonin grinned and stepped forward, but was stopped by Lucius before he could take more than a few steps. "There's no need for that. Our target has never been her."
"Harry Potter," Lucius looked at him confidently, "Now can you give me the Prophecy Orb? The Dark Lord is waiting!"
"I..."
"It seems you're still hesitating, but that's okay. Do you need your friends to help urge them on?"
Harry looked around and saw that Ron and his three friends were each being held by a Death Eater. Neville, in particular, had his Wand pointed at his throat by his enemy Bellatrix, who looked like he was about to attack at any moment.
"Don't give it to him," Neville roared. "Don't give it to them, Harry."
"Longbottom, if I were you, I wouldn't say that."
You know your grandmother is already used to losing loved ones; if something happens to you, she'll be heartbroken.
"Hahaha..." Bellatrix laughed maniacally, "How about we see how long Longbottom can hold out before he goes insane like his father?"
"Get everyone else out of here, and I'll give it to you," Harry said seriously. He had already paid the price for his recklessness and didn't want the price to be any worse.
"Do you even have the right to haggle?" Lucius scoffed.
Four of the six were taken prisoner; if it weren't for the fear of damaging the Prophecy Orb, Potter would have been one of them.
Granger had only a slight deterrent effect, which was practically the same as having none at all.
"Cruciatus Curse!"
Bellatrix cast the Cruciatus Curse on Neville, who curled up on the ground in agony, convulsing in pain.
"Stop!" Harry angrily raised the Prophecy Orb a few notches. "Otherwise, I'll smash it."
"Calm down, Bellatrix. We need the Prophecy Orb. Do you want to disappoint the Dark Lord?"
Seemingly intimidated by the Dark Lord's name, Bellatrix reluctantly stopped, "Just let him have a taste of it."
"I'm done, Potter." Lucius stepped forward, ignoring Hermione holding the Lycoris. He knew perfectly well that with these hostages in hand, she would never dare to fire a shot.
He held out his right hand to Harry. "I'll be direct. Just give me the Prophecy Orb, or you can watch them die."
This is no joke. We have four hostages. If you don't believe me, we can kill one to show you.
Harry stared into Lucius's eyes, remained silent for a moment, and reluctantly placed the Prophecy Orb in Lucius's hand.
He didn't want to do it, but he had no choice. Even if there was only a one in ten thousand chance, he couldn't gamble with his friend's life.
The Prophecy Orb fell into Lucius's hands and became obscure again.
He didn't care about this change at all, after all, he wasn't Prophecy.
"Congratulations on making the right decision," Lucius said smugly. "So... what should we do with you all next?"
"Kill them all!" Bellatrix laughed. "But before that, I want to see how long Longbottom can hold out."
"You can't do that," Harry exclaimed in alarm.
"Yes, that's too cruel," Lucius said meaningfully. "Bring Potter back; the Dark Lord would be happy to see him."
As for the four of them... let's throw them into the Veil; whether they survive or not depends on luck.
Although the probability is very small, it is still possible. At least those who studied this Veil once believed that the living could also exist in the world of the dead.
Let them contribute to the research work in the Magic World; that way, no trace will be left behind.
"Behind the Veil is the world of the dead?" Harry stared in astonishment, then angrily pointed his Wand at Lucius.
"If I were you, I wouldn't do that. They might not die, they just won't be able to come back to this world," Lucius chuckled. "It's much better than total death, isn't it?"
Harry stared at him coldly, contemplating whether or not to fight to the death.
He wasn't very confident, but he had to try; he couldn't just watch them get thrown into the Veil!
"And what about her?" Antonin asked, pointing at Hermione. "What are you going to do with her? Don't tell me you're going to let her go?"
"She?"
Lucius's expression remained unchanged, but he was secretly suffering in his heart.
He genuinely wanted to let her go, but since Antonin had asked, he couldn't pretend to be oblivious, or he'd be disowned by these Death Eater.
"Let's bring her along, but we need to be polite and not hurt her."
The Dark Lord is very interested in the Mugen sword that Miss Granger has, as its true owner; she might be a good bargaining chip.
Aaron was hiding in the shadows and carefully concealing his figure, twitched his lips slightly. He could tell that Lucius was indirectly protecting Hermione, but something about what he said seemed a little off.
However, it can't be said to be a bad thing. If nothing unexpected happens, she will still be able to exchange the Moon Drop for her freedom after meeting Voldemort.
As for the others... should we save them or not?
Aaron was particularly conflicted. He was just an observer right now, and there was no difference between using the Crystal Ball for Divination and watching in person. As long as he didn't show up, it was as if he hadn't completely gotten involved.
He had warned them it was a trap and didn't want to get involved, but since he was already there, it would be somewhat cruel to just watch them being sent into the world of the dead.
"Let's wait and see. Maybe the Phoenix Society can arrive at the crucial moment!" Aaron thought to himself, setting a bottom line for his actions.
They will not act unless their lives are in danger.
At this point, he wasn't so confident in Professor Snape anymore. Had he actually notified the Phoenix Society?
If not, once he got involved tonight, he would never be able to escape unscathed.
If Ru Kuan had notified them, they should have arrived long ago.
Even if we assume Snape was delayed due to personal grudges, it shouldn't have taken this long.
It doesn't matter if he gets drunk and celebrates; as long as the news reaches the Phoenix Society, Lupin, Moody, and the others Apparition over in the blink of an eye.
Neville was the first to be pushed onto the central platform. Looking at the Veil that moved without wind, he seemed to know what he was about to face. Although he was nervous, there was no fear on his face.
"Go in yourself!" Bellatrix said.
"Severing Charm".
Harry tried to cast a spell on Bellatrix, but the spell was easily deflected.
"Haha, my little darling, do you still want to try it?"
"Potter, don't put up a fight now," Lucius said with a pity, shaking his head. "Unless you want your men to die right now."
"I think he needs a lesson he'll never forget," Bellatrix said with a knowing smile, then pointed her Wand at Neville. "Cruciatus Curse!"
"Ah!"
Neville let out another bloodcurdling scream, his eyes bloodshot, sweat beading on his forehead, and he collapsed to the ground, trembling uncontrollably.
"Stop! This is my fault, and you should punish me too!" Harry shouted.
"That's what Longbottom's father begged us for back then. How utterly pointless," Bellatrix said with amusement, then used Levitation Charm to levitate Neville in mid-air. "Your friend will have to pay a price for what he just did."
