Excellent Research Material? The Capital to Trade Life for Injury
A huge explosion rang out, and several figures staggered to their feet amidst the billowing smoke and dust.
All six Death Eater were wounded, but compared to the immense shock to their minds, the physical pain was insignificant.
They were considered a prominent figure among the Death Eater, yet the six of them combined couldn't defeat a boy with similar Magic Power to theirs—it was simply unbelievable.
Aaron was also in a bad way; half of his body was embedded in the high platform, and it took a lot of effort to pull himself out.
To make matters worse, the clash of energy had drained a lot of his magic power. Although he had managed to gain the upper hand, his situation was still far from optimistic.
"Are we really in the same year as him?" Ron asked, his mouth agape in astonishment. "My parents probably aren't as good as him even if they were together."
The others were also too shocked to speak, except for Harry, who had a slightly stronger mental fortitude, since he had witnessed it once before.
However, while defeating the Death Eater is certainly cause for celebration, as long as the Dark Lord remains here, their situation will not change in the slightest.
"Cruciatus Curse!" Bellatrix suddenly emerged from the smoke and dust, pointing her Wand at Aaron.
Of the ten Death Eater, three were seriously injured and six were slightly injured. She was in relatively good condition. When the fighting ended and both sides were at their lowest point, she decisively chose to launch a sneak attack.
The Cruciatus Curse struck Aaron squarely in the chest, sending him flying.
However, he did not let out a wail or scream, nor did he roll on the ground. He simply gritted his teeth and stood up, trembling.
"You, what kind of monster are you?" Bellatrix looked at Aaron in disbelief, feeling as if her understanding had been greatly shocked.
Her Unforgivable Curses Cruciatus Curse was no ordinary curse; she had killed or driven insane many with it, but this was the first time I had ever seen anyone endure such excruciating pain, like having their heart torn apart and their skin peeled off.
"It hurts quite a bit." Aaron let out a long breath as if nothing had happened. "Just consider it a lesson learned from my carelessness on the battlefield!"
"Besides, if you had used the Killing Curse just now, it would have been more effective, although it might not have killed me."
Bellatrix's lips twitched, and she immediately waved her Wand, unleashing Killing Curse.
Aaron easily blocked the green light, saying, "You alone can't beat me."
"Those who aren't dead, come and help!" Bellatrix shouted bluntly to the six lightly wounded Death Eater.
Lucius and the others exchanged glances, and despite their reluctance, they could only pick up their Wand and continue fighting.
"That's enough! I don't want to waste any more time recruiting a group of loyal Death Eater." The Dark Lord teleported next to Bellatrix, looked at the messy, destroyed area with a meaningful gaze, and couldn't help but sigh, "You're even more powerful than the God of Magic. As expected of a descendant of the God of Law, this talent is truly enviable."
"It's been passed down for thousands of years, so the bloodline isn't as pure anymore."
" is also excellent research material."
Aaron's heart skipped a beat, as if he could see greed and madness in Voldemort's bloodshot eyes.
Holy crap! This looks like it's about to be sliced up!
We absolutely cannot fall into his hands, or we'll surely suffer a fate worse than death.
"We've had enough fun, can we play together now?"
"I can't say that." Aaron said without thinking, then changed the subject, "But if I may ask, if I am unfortunate enough to be captured by you, what do you plan to do to me?"
"Um... don't get me wrong, I was just genuinely curious."
"As long as you cooperate, I won't hurt you."
"How do we cooperate?" Aaron asked somewhat nervously.
Voldemort grinned. "I'll treat you well and provide you with plenty of food and drink, as long as you give me some blood every now and then."
Aaron:...
"That's probably not the case."
"It's not up to you. Your life or death isn't that important. All I need is enough blood."
Of course, it's better to be alive, because that means I'll have a constant supply of health.
"You've probably misunderstood. What I mean is, even if I provide you with blood, you won't be able to research anything." Aaron scratched his head, both amused and exasperated. "The first ancestor of the Gaius family, the one who was considered a god, blessed his descendants before he passed away."
Unless it's a voluntary donation, our blood is no different from that of ordinary people, so you can't study anything at all.
Not only his blood, but even his cells and genes are no different from those of a normal person.
Upon hearing this, Voldemort almost stumbled.
"Are you kidding me?"
"I swear this is absolutely not a joke," Aaron said sheepishly, his tone full of admiration.
He used to think that this blessing was a waste, and that it did nothing but make it easier for family members to live like ordinary people.
In retrospect, he was rash; his ancestors were truly farsighted!
Putting aside everything else, the fact that his elders from other worlds bestowed this blessing upon him will undoubtedly protect him from the covetous eyes of countless ambitious individuals like Voldemort.
"Would it be a voluntary sacrifice?" Voldemort pondered for a moment. "There are plenty of ways to do that."
"If you mean you're using threats or coercion to make me cut my own hand with a knife, that doesn't count as voluntary."
"What did you say?"
"I'm not lying to you about this either." Aaron shrugged. "The Gaius family values the spirit of contracts the most. The most effective medium for Warlock to sign contracts is blood."
To prevent future generations from unwittingly signing contracts with others,... only decisions made willingly and with sufficient clarity of mind can be considered voluntary.
Voldemort was completely bewildered. He looked at Aaron and felt an urge to curse him out.
He had a gold mine right in front of him, but he didn't even have the tools to dig it. It was incredibly frustrating.
"You really do have a good ancestor!" Voldemort said through gritted teeth. "We can think of a solution later, but if we let you escape, it won't be so easy to catch you again."
Aaron blinked and involuntarily took a few steps back. "Why bother?"
"There's nothing I can do. I can't touch the heirs of the other three families!" Voldemort said meaningfully. He had finally managed to drag Aaron into this mess, and there wouldn't be a second chance like this.
This gold mine can't be mined for the time being, but at least we must keep it in our own hands.
"You have no other choice. Don't force me to do it," Voldemort said coldly.
"Did I force you? It was clearly you who forced me," Aaron said, on the verge of tears.
To be honest, he had considered feigning surrender. After all, he had been a prisoner before, and he could easily find an opportunity to escape.
Even if Voldemort were incredibly powerful, he couldn't watch over him every second. At most, he could lock him up in a place where no one could find him, and set up some traps and mechanisms to prevent intrusion.
But he has Thought Form with shared memories and the same strength. As long as he communicates with the Thought Form in time and makes proper preparations, breaking him out of prison is not difficult.
Even if one person isn't confident, let's call on Dumbledore.
Putting aside the facts, if Hogwarts students are arrested, you, as the headmaster, can't just do nothing!
In addition, there are only a few days left until Summer Holiday, when he will be able to receive 1,200 Magic Points.
Spending a thousand to buy Horse Talisman to remove all negative statuses might eliminate the need for Thought Form prison break; he might have enough ability to escape on his own.
But now that Voldemort wants to use him as experimental material, that's really unacceptable. He has to fight back head-on, otherwise he'll be laughed to death when he sees his friends later.
Thinking this, Aaron gripped his Wand tighter.
Voldemort noticed this and a mocking smile crept onto his lips. "You think you can beat me?"
"I'm not very confident, but I have to give it a try!"
"If it were me, I wouldn't be willing to accept it either, but people always have to bow to Reality Stone, don't they?"
"That's true, but what's the difference between bowing down and being a coward?"
Voldemort paused for a moment, then said, "That makes sense."
"Master, we..." Bellatrix hesitated, unable to finish her sentence.
"Don't make a move. Only when Mr. Gaius realizes the gap between Reality Stone and expectations will he cooperate obediently."
"Yes, sir!"
The Death Eater spontaneously stood at the back, leaving the large area of ruins in the center for the two to use as their dueling arena.
Aaron scoffed at this in his heart. The words sounded nice, but wasn't it still bullying the weak?
However, he is not someone to be trifled with. If pushed too far, it's hard to say who will suffer the loss, since he is currently immortal and has the ability to trade his life for injury.
The next moment, Aaron launched the first attack, his fist wrapped in crimson flames striking Voldemort's face at incredible speed.
Voldemort casually waved his Wand, and a pale green barrier blocked his fist. Crimson Incendio, but they had no effect on him whatsoever.
Then, a red light flashed at the tip of the Wand, "Bombarda."
"Damn it!"
Sensing danger in his mind, Aaron retreated rapidly.
An explosion rang out, and a deep crater was blasted out where he had just been standing.
"A very powerful sense of perception," Voldemort sneered.
"You'll develop the skills by getting beaten up a lot," Aaron complained irritably. The earlier probing made him realize that while he was capable of fighting, he needed more powerful attacks.
"The Fire Dragon's Roar".
A fierce burst of flames erupted from his mouth, and Voldemort smiled, calmly raising his Wand.
The green magic flowed and collided with the flames, only holding out for a moment before crashing towards Aaron. He hurriedly erected a high-level defensive spell in front of him and barely managed to block it.
"For a sixteen-year-old, you're already quite remarkable, but your magic is too weak right now," Voldemort said calmly, then suddenly waved his Wand.
The rubble, scorched earth, and ice shards on the ground seemed to come alive, forming a brown torrent that surged rapidly toward Aaron.
He immediately conjured a yellow Magic Array, and a giant hand made of rock rose from the ground, shattering Voldemort's attack and shoving it forward.
"Um?"
Voldemort was taken aback for a moment, and only after swinging his Wand repeatedly did he manage to sever the giant hand.
He used Transfiguration to transform the giant rock hand into the shape of a python, which flicked its tongue and emitted a deep hissing sound.
Aaron placed his hands on the ground, and several stone pillars rose from the ground and walls, pinning the giant python to death.
More stone pillars, however, attacked Voldemort, crisscrossing and quickly locking Voldemort up.
Voldemort pointed his Wand at the stone cell that bound him. A flash of silver light appeared, and the stone pillar Shattering Curse. But the scattered stones quickly returned to their original shape and reformed the prison.
"Great idea, but how long can your magic hold me back?"
"It might take a little longer than you think," Aaron said, panting heavily, sweat streaming down his face.
As soon as he finished speaking, five Magic Array— red, yellow, blue, green, and purple—surrounded the stone cell.
"This is..." Voldemort's pupils suddenly contracted, his eyes filled with vigilance.
He no longer underestimated the situation, unleashing a frenzied release of green magic that rapidly eroded the newly formed rocks.
He was still a step too late; a sealed spherical stone prison locked him inside, and the five-fold Magic Array disappeared.
Aaron let out a long breath, staggered, and half-knelt on the ground.
Everyone else who witnessed this scene was dumbfounded, their faces filled with disbelief.
The Dark Lord has been defeated? It seems impossible!
"Cruciatus Curse!" Bellatrix viciously unleashed the Cruciatus Curse, causing Aaron to grimace in pain, though he managed to retain a semblance of composure.
What did you do?
"It's just a small seal," Aaron said, forcing a smile. "He was careless; I don't think I'd have that chance."
"A seal... Could it be...?" Bellatrix stared in astonishment at the stone cell, then unleashed another Curse at Aaron. "You, you dare..."
Aaron clutched his throbbing chest and staggered to his feet.
Bellatrix immediately grabbed his collar and pressed her Wand against his temple. "How do you break the seal? Tell me now."
"External attacks weaken the seal, or the sealed entity breaks it from the inside using its own power. In Voldemort's case, it would probably be the latter."
As if to confirm Aaron's words, the stone prison trembled slightly, and dense cracks appeared on its surface, from which green light seeped out, making it look terrifying.
"Hahaha!" Bellatrix burst into laughter upon seeing this. "Master truly lives up to his reputation as the Dark Lord."
"Is it appropriate for you to stand here?" Aaron asked meaningfully.
Bellatrix paused, then silently retreated to where the Death Eater were standing.
After all, the Dark Lord had forbidden them from interfering. It was understandable that she used the Cruciatus Curse twice on Aaron in her anger, but if she continued to be ungrateful, the Dark Lord would have to punish her.
Aaron dragged his weary body to the crumbling giant stone cell. He stroked the stone wall and smiled bitterly. "The difference is too great. I used a perfectly good sealing magic, Juxing, as a trapping formation. I've really disgraced my ancestors!"
As he spoke, flames erupted from each of his hands. "This is my last bit of magic. I'll have to rely on you from now on."
"Dragon-Slaying Secret Art!" Aaron roared, flames surging wildly, spreading from his hands to his arms, a few golden glints suddenly appearing amidst the blazing crimson, "Crimson Lotus Exploding Flame Blade."
