Constructing the Mind Space, Nine Times Out of Ten for a Woman
"My advice is not to waste too much time on this. Being able to defend against mental attacks is enough," Flor said seriously. "Unless you can materialize the Mind Space in the future, but even for gods, it's not easy to do that. That would be equivalent to creating an entire world."
For a deity, occupying a piece of land and transforming it into whatever form they desire takes at most a year, which is infinitely easier than building from scratch.
"I don't understand this, but our ancestors seem to have overlooked the advantages of the Mind Space."
That's a space that you control; no matter how much others covet it, they can't get a chance to take it. If you choose the latter, you can't easily leave if you want to protect your foundation.
"We can train suitable candidates!" Flor said dismissively. "The universe is vast and there is no shortage of wandering powerhouses. It's not difficult to arrange a few to guard the home."
If there's not enough time, we can hire a group of mercenaries; they can solve most of the problems.
Aaron blinked blankly, looking at Flor in surprise, "Ancestor, what you're saying is a bit of a shock to my worldview!"
"Stop pretending with me," Flor said without batting an eye. "You've been to other worlds, so your perspective can't be as narrow as that of ordinary people!"
"But my vision isn't that broad either. You're making it sound too easy."
"Because I have existed long enough, I have seen every successor of the Gaius family over the past thousand years, including many geniuses who are even more outstanding than you."
Their path to godhood offers invaluable lessons for future generations.
"Isn't there anything that can be done to create Mind Space?" Aaron asked, skeptical.
"Yes! There are two successful ones." Flor seemed to recall something, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up slightly. "One was built after he became a god, but he didn't care much about it."
Aaron noticed Flor's expression and asked with interest, "What is your relationship with this person?"
"My great-grandson." Flor proudly puffed out his chest. "But that's not important. The Gaius people who can enter the secret Secret Chamber are basically all direct descendants."
"Uh... what about the other one?"
"The other one is the founder of the Gaius family. He began to build it after he sensed the Mind Space and did not stop until his sacrifice."
"Then why shouldn't I?"
"Our ancestors were fed by the heavens, and their Soul Stone power was exceptionally abundant. Do you have enough Soul Stone power to sustain you on?"
"Maybe I do!" Aaron said tentatively.
"Hmm?" Flor paused for a moment, then looked at Aaron with surprise and smiled meaningfully, "It seems you gained a lot from those two trips!"
Aaron smiled sheepishly, neither confirming nor denying.
He wouldn't mind having a few more misunderstandings like this, but as for the divine power of the talisman, he'd better not reveal it.
"Even so, constructing Mind Space will still consume a lot of your energy. Wouldn't it be better to use that time to learn more types of magic?"
"Ancestor, I have made my decision," Aaron said resolutely.
What is the purpose of the Thought Form? He has twice the time and energy of others, so he doesn't care about expending a little more energy.
"In that case... my advice is simple: use your understanding of the world as a benchmark, and discard the dross and keep the essence."
Aaron frowned slightly. "Is there anything else?"
"You haven't fully understood what I mean. I'm not just referring to architecture, scenery, climate, and the like, but also resources, laws, and even life itself. I guess there are no living things in your Mind Space!"
"Ah... no, there isn't."
"That's right. No matter how beautifully you build your Mind Space, it's still just a dead land in essence."
"I can't create any living things right now." Aaron said with difficulty. He had tried before, but every time he created a living thing, it would automatically dissipate after a short time.
"Then we'll talk about it when you're stronger," Flor said nonchalantly. "The world evolves slowly; you can start with the simple things."
Also, here's a piece of advice: never create highly intelligent beings in your Mind Space.
"What does this mean?" Aaron asked, puzzled.
"You'll understand the literal meaning later."
This is just my personal, immature suggestion, and I don't know if it's right or wrong.
Maybe I'm overthinking it. You probably won't leave any future problems for yourself.
"That's ridiculous." Aaron pursed his lips, as if he understood what Flor meant, but also as if he didn't understand anything at all.
"I also find it a bit inexplicable." Flor chuckled and shrugged. "You, Ai Ai, are just Archmage. I was just Holy Magus in my previous life."
A Holy Magus is actually teaching a Archmage a problem that even the god of magic might not be able to think about. It's unbelievable that one dares to speak and the other dares to listen.
In short, simple problems are often complex. If you have time, read more Muggle books, especially those on science and sociology; it will benefit you.
"Knew."
"Then..." Flor raised an eyebrow at Aaron, a playful look in his eyes, "Shouldn't you tell me why I got involved in the conflicts of the Magic World?"
"For the sake of justice in the Magic World," Aaron said without batting an eye.
"Heh!" Flor rolled his eyes. "Even though I've been dead for thousands of years, you don't need to fool a ghost like this!"
What kind of justice would make someone like you, who's good at surviving, stand on the opposite side of the Dark Lord?
I heard you even fought him head-on! You've really gotten cocky!
"It's not my fault," Aaron said, feeling aggrieved. "Voldemort found out that the Gaius family had produced a deity and wanted to capture me for research."
"Come on! I'm sure you broke the ancestral rules first, otherwise Voldemort wouldn't have had the chance or the guts to catch you." Flor patted Aaron on the shoulder. "Tell the truth for the sake of me being your ancestor."
"Uh... because of a moment of impulse."
I'll give you one more chance.
To be honest, I won't laugh at you.
Aaron lowered his head in silence, Flor couldn't help but laugh when he saw this. "I can guess even if you don't say it. It's because of a woman, right?"
"Nothing of the sort." Aaron immediately looked up and met Flor's teasing gaze.
"There's nothing to deny; similar things have happened many times throughout the thousands of years of Gaius family history."
But history always repeats itself; eight out of ten of them did it for women, and unsurprisingly, these ancestors or descendants all married the women they wanted to save.
"Hahaha..." Aaron laughed awkwardly, "This sounds a bit outrageous."
Besides, Ancestor, you're underestimating me. Why can't I be one of the remaining two?
"Are you sure? The remaining two... are for men."
"I'm not sure," Aaron said immediately. "Speaking of which, does our family have members with heterosexual orientations...? That might be a bit insulting to our ancestors, but..."
"Don't misunderstand," Flor interrupted Aaron's somewhat distorted thoughts. "The remaining two, unsurprisingly, married the sisters of the men they rescued."
"Holy crap!" Aaron couldn't help but swear, looking completely bewildered. "What's the difference between that and doing it for a woman?"
"That's why I'm sure you're after a woman!" Flor said smugly. "But don't worry, this is something I deduced from my family history. Vico and the others don't know, and I won't tell them."
"I'm not doing this for a woman, I'm doing it for the justice in my heart."
"I understand, Ming." Flor waved his hand impatiently. "This doesn't conflict with doing this for a woman."
Aaron rubbed his forehead speechlessly. "No wonder Tepler said none of you are easy to deal with."
"That's true. After all, whether we're alive or dead, the people we deal with are you outstanding family heirs who are even more cunning than monkeys."
Even the purest lotus, after ten, a hundred, or even a thousand years of wind and rain, will find it difficult not to turn black.
Aaron was speechless. Flor said made so much sense that he couldn't refute it.
Calling these ancestors old foxes is an insult to them; they were clearly fox spirits!
"What's that girl's background? What's her personality like? How beautiful is she?" Flor's eyes blazed with gossip. "When did you take a liking to her?"
"Ancestor, I think you have misunderstood."
I simply admire her.
"Oh? It seems it needs a little more time to ferment," Flor said with a smile. "Tell me in detail what happened that night."
"Didn't you already know that?" Aaron retorted.
"I only know the general outline, but I don't know the specific details."
Faced with this ancestor who was known for his ability to see through people's hearts, Aaron dared not deceive him as he had deceived the ancestor Weihert. He immediately told him everything that had happened that night at the Department of Mysteries.
However, he replaced his Thought Form with a puppet clone, and he dared not reveal its specific abilities.
Flor's reaction was similar to Weihert's, but he only smiled for a few seconds before his expression changed, and he looked at Aaron with a sympathetic gaze.
"Ancestor, I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I think I saw pity in your eyes."
"That's compassion." Flor sighed slightly. "You're incredibly lucky to have run into a principal like that."
"I also feel a bit sad. He is a lunatic, but from the first moment I saw him, I labeled him as 'thick-skinned and black-hearted'."
"I'm afraid that's not enough," Flor said seriously. "Dumbledore much more complicated than you think."
You're still young, it's normal that you can't see through him, but I can analyze that he's not just a thick-skinned and ruthless person, but a vicious person who will stop at nothing.
Aaron couldn't help but swallow. "Ancestor, isn't 'any means necessary' an exaggeration?"
"It's no exaggeration to say that such a ruthless person can treat everyone as a pawn in order to achieve justice and fairness, and will not hesitate to sacrifice himself when necessary."
He's great, admirable, and possesses an indescribable personal charisma, but never befriend him—it's a job with a high mortality rate.
Upon hearing this, Aaron nodded in deep agreement.
Our ancestor truly lived up to his name; his analysis was spot-on and to the point.
"But I'm already involved!"
"That's why I gave you that pitying look just now," Flor said speechlessly. "You're already on the chessboard, and a very valuable one at that."
He won't easily harm you, but once he does, it will be to put you in the most dangerous situation; you need to be mentally prepared.
Rumble!
A million alpacas galloped through Aaron's mind, leaving him speechless with despair.
"Ancestor, you must find a way to help me!"
"How can I help you? Your fiancée is too righteous; if you can control her, you can control yourself."
"She's not my girlfriend," Aaron said stubbornly.
"Not yet. From the moment you risked your life to save her, your relationship was already on the verge of being elevated. If she were in danger, it would be difficult for you to turn a blind eye."
As soon as he finished speaking, Flor's face turned ashen.
His gaze slowly descended, and there was Aaron clinging tightly to his right leg, his eyes filled with sincere pleading.
"Let go, let go of me."
"You're sixteen years old already, and you're still playing these tricks on me? Aren't you ashamed?"
"I am your direct descendant, what's so shameful about sucking up to you?" Aaron said shamelessly, "If you're not satisfied, I'll kneel down and kowtow to you right now."
"Hey! If you kowtow once, I'll give you some ideas," Flor said through gritted teeth.
Is this really true?
"I keep my word."
Aaron decisively let go, Flor immediately tried to back away.
He wouldn't go so far as to deceive his descendants, but if he manages to avoid this kowtow, then there's naturally no reason to help him.
However, before he could even take a step, he was surprised to find that his left leg was being held by four monstrous dragon claws, and he couldn't move it no matter what he did.
Looking at Abei's big, watery eyes and the faint red flames hidden at the corners of her mouth, Flor was speechless.
"Forget it, no need to keep kowtowing," Flor said angrily. "With your face that's as thick as a city wall, you might just outmaneuver Dumbledore in the future."
Aaron stood up and smiled shyly. "I'm confident, but time waits for no one."
"Hmph!" Flor snorted. "It's impossible for you to jump out of the chessboard. Neither the Dark Lord nor the Demon Lord will allow it."
So before you have enough power to overturn the chessboard, what you need to do is to be resourceful and adaptable, or to put it bluntly, survive in the cracks.
You can't completely defeat one side unless you're prepared to be a pawn.
"I understand the principle, but how do I do it?" Aaron asked.
"Given the current state of the Magic World, only the Demon King can stand against the Dark Lord, and conversely, only the Dark Lord."
Aaron seemed to have grasped something, and his eyes suddenly lit up, but then quickly dimmed again.
"Ancestor, I think I understand what you mean."
"You want me to implicate Voldemort, lessen his hostility towards me, and ultimately return to a neutral stance," Aaron said with a wry smile. "But that's almost impossible. I now see that as the path to godhood in his eyes!"
"Drawing a pie in the sky! Do I have to teach you that?" Flor said matter-of-factly. "Just give him a promise that seems reliable and easy to achieve, but in reality, it can never be achieved, or even if it is achieved, it won't affect him."
Aaron:...
I'm still too young; I can't compare to these seasoned veterans.
