A Conversation Between Two Girls, Mundungus's Dealings
Stan Sampark, a renowned Knight Bus in the Warlock world and a bus ticket seller, has been arrested on suspicion of engaging in Death Eater activities.
Mr. Sampak, 21, was arrested last night after a police raid on his residence in the Clapham...
Aaron put down the Daily Prophet, curled his lip in disdain, and said, "Stan Sampak has been arrested and imprisoned. It's ridiculous, utterly laughable."
If he's Death Eater, then Harry Potter is the Dark Lord.
"He likes to talk nonsense when he's drunk, and the people at the Ministry of Magic just happen to believe him," Clea said. "A lot of alarming things have happened in the last two weeks, and even many parents are hesitant about whether to let their children leave Hogwarts."
The Ministry of Magic was eager to achieve some results, and Stan Sampark just happened to be in their line of fire; a prison sentence was inevitable.
"The previous minister liked to cover things up, while this minister seems to prefer picking on the weak."
"Scrimgeour has done a good job; at least he doesn't underestimate Voldemort and the Death Eater. He's an upright politician." Clea put down her newspaper. "I'm going to Quidditch Pitch. Are you coming?"
"What are you doing there?" Aaron asked, puzzled. "I remember Quidditch practice wasn't today!"
"I've arranged to meet Hermione for the Gryffindor Quidditch selections."
"Not pi".
"I knew it." Clea smiled and turned to leave the Slytherin Common Room.
While she was waiting, Hermione was waiting for her in the audience.
There were dozens of Gryffindor on the field, ranging from first year to seventh year. They were all carrying different kinds of Flying Broomstick and were very enthusiastic.
"When did Quidditch become so popular?" Clea asked in surprise.
"There wouldn't have been this many people before, not even half of them, but this year is different," Hermione explained. "Many of my classmates who idolize Harry have signed up after they learned that he is the captain of the Gryffindor House Team."
"The Celebrity Effect? Well, that makes sense. After Voldemort's resurrection, he became the savior of the Magic World."
Moreover, his repeated escapes from being captured by him confirmed this rumor.
A look of embarrassment flashed across Hermione's face; she knew better than anyone how big the rumored water scourge was.
The selection process lasted for more than two hours, with dozens of students taking turns to be tested before Harry could barely fill the Chaser and Beater.
In the final round of goalkeeper testing, Ron Weasley and Cormac Mack both signed up.
The players took turns playing and guarding the goal.
The selected official players launch an attack, and whoever saves the most balls becomes the goalkeeper.
"Is there something you wanted to ask me out?" Hermione asked somewhat nervously, while keeping her eyes on the court.
"Hmm... there's something I want to confirm with you." Clea asked with interest, "I asked Dumbledore about what happened at the Department of Mysteries that night. You were teleported away by Aaron using a Portkey. Do you know where you were teleported to?"
"I don't know." Hermione shook her head gently. "When I opened my eyes, I saw Hagrid's Hut, but I'm sure it's not there, and he won't tell me."
"Is that so?" Clea thought of the floor in Aaron's dormitory that was concealed by Illusion Magic. "I think I know what that place is."
"You know?"
"I have some guesses, but I need some time to confirm them. I hope you can help me."
Hearing this, Hermione hesitated and shook her lips. "Isn't this inappropriate? Although I really want to know, it's his secret after all."
"It suits you perfectly, Hermione." Clea looked at her righteously. "It's one thing for him to keep it from others, but we two shouldn't be considered outsiders!"
Hermione blushed. "You're right. How can I help you?"
"I'll let you know when it's time," Clea said, then took a small, pale gold bottle out of her pocket. "This is for you."
"Felix Felicis?" Hermione exclaimed in surprise. "For me?"
"This is for you." Clea shoved the small bottle into Hermione's hand. "You need it more than I do. You can decide for yourself when to use it."
Hermione hesitated for a moment, then accepted the gift somewhat sheepishly. "Logically speaking, our relationship shouldn't be like this. Why did you..."
"Why am I so good to you, without even a hint of annoyance?" Clea interrupted teasingly, then pointed to her eyes, "My eyes are special; I can see fragments of the future."
However, it's hard to see clearly now; his progress is much greater than I thought.
Gollum!
Hermione swallowed hard. "You're kidding, right?"
"You can also think of me as a Divination."
"Looks like you weren't joking. What did you see?"
"It's not the right time to tell you now," Clea smiled. "Even the future can be changed, if I'm not satisfied, but you haven't disappointed me."
Hermione was about to ask another question when she heard a shout from the audience.
Cormac guarded the goal, easily blocking four Quaffle with his size.
"Confundus Charm," Hermione hurriedly read.
Cormac paused for a moment, then inexplicably flew in the opposite direction, narrowly missing the fifth ball.
Cheating is wrong!
But I don't like him either; the way he looks at me always confuses me.
Hermione gave an awkward laugh, then guiltily turned her gaze to the arena.
Ron was the last to go on stage, and most of the Gryffindor in the audience cheered him on, with Lavender Brown shouting especially loudly.
His sister Ginny Weasley served the ball, and although Ron was nervous, he performed exceptionally well, saving five balls in a row and successfully taking the goalkeeper position.
Time flew by and it was mid-October when a heavy snowfall covered Hogwarts.
Although the school's security measures became increasingly stringent, Dumbledore did not revoke the students' right to visit Hogsmeade Village.
Filch stood at the oak door as usual, carefully checking the name of each student who wanted to leave Hogsmeade Village and using a detector to check them to make sure there were no contraband items before letting them leave.
"Are you sure you don't want to go to Hogsmeade?" Aaron asked, looking at Clea. "Aren't you bored after being at school for over a month?"
"We'll talk about it next time. I have more important things to do." Clea said meaningfully, then pointed to Abei. "But you have to lend me it."
"Okay!" Aaron put Abei on the ground, and it automatically walked to Clea's side.
At this moment, Harry and his two companions also arrived at the main entrance, diverting their attention.
"Hermione, you've come at the right time. I have something private to discuss with you." Clea gave her a wink, and the two of them walked towards the corner in unison.
"What's up?"
"I need you to help me stall him as much as possible, come back as late as you can."
"Today?" Hermione asked nervously.
"The defenses there must be at their most lax when he's not at school," Clea said seriously. "These days, Death Eater cause trouble every day in the Magic World. Who knows if he'll even be able to go to Hogsmeade next week?"
Hermione, you must seize this opportunity to clear your name; it won't come again.
"Alright, I know what to do."
Abei, standing to the side, was completely bewildered. It didn't understand what the two women were talking about, but it was certain that they wanted to do something while their owners were away.
However, before it could even decide whether to tell its owner, it was picked up by Clea, and all its thoughts vanished.
Hermione hurried back to the front door. Filch had just finished checking on Harry, Ron, and Aaron, so he didn't keep them waiting.
Like Diagon Alley, business in Hogsmeade Village was also greatly affected. Even Zonko's Joke Shop was boarded up. However, the Three Broomsticks were still open, and being able to drink a Butterbeer on this snowy day was a kind of comfort.
"Is that Mundungus?" Aaron asked, pointing to a short man with a stall outside the bar.
"It looks like..." Harry nodded and went over.
"You, Harry," Mundungus said somewhat nervously.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well... we need to make a living by selling these things." Mundungus said as he quickly packed the goods into boxes. "You guys get on with your business and don't waste my time."
"Wait a minute." Ron picked up a wine glass from the floor. "These things look familiar... like..."
"Sirius Black," Harry said, his face darkening, his gaze towards Mundungus turning hostile. "Are you reselling his stuff?"
"Where did Dumbledore find these brilliant talents?"
Aaron's eye twitched slightly, and he was utterly speechless.
How desperate for money is this guy? These are all junk he doesn't want, yet he's willing to put them up for sale.
"I don't."
"Still trying to deny it." Harry angrily slammed him against the wall, pointing his Wand at him. "These things have the Black family crest on them, and you stole them from Sirius Black's house."
What did you do? You ransacked his house the night he died?
"No, I..." Mundungus was on the verge of tears. "I was indeed selling Black family's stuff, but it's not worth much at all."
Do you think I'd believe that?
"Put down your Wand first, and I'll give you an explanation."
"Harry," Hermione shook her head at him, "Let's hear what he has to say first."
Harry remained silent for a moment, then reluctantly put down his Wand.
"Phew!" Mundungus breathed a heavy sigh of relief. "Here's what happened: not long after Sirius Black died, a man named Gandalf came to Grimmauld Place."
"Impossible, the Secret Keeper is Dumbledore..."
"But Sirius Black is the owner of that house," Mundungus said anxiously. "Gandalf produced a transfer agreement with Sirius Black's signature on it, clearly stating that after his death, all valuables at 12 Grimmauld Place must be transferred to Gandalf unconditionally."
"Are you kidding me?" Harry laughed angrily. "Why would Sirius Black sign something like that? What if it exposes the existence of the Phoenix Society?"
"But he did sign it!" Mundungus said incoherently. "Moody and Lupin both saw the agreement, Notary was Phineas. We also confirmed the reliability of the agreement with him."
"Really?" Ron asked skeptically.
"It's absolutely true. You can verify this with Moody and Phineas at any time."
Sirius Black may have known he would die, so he made some preparations while he was still alive.
Gandalf said that Sirius Black had come to him asking for a favor, and that this matter required a large sum of money, so..."
"Then how do you explain this?" Hermione asked, looking at the various pieces of junk on the ground.
"I helped Gandalf pack some things; these are things he wouldn't want," Mundungus weakly.
"You..." Harry glared at him fiercely and punched him in the face.
"Ouch!" Mundungus clutched his cheek. "Sirius Black only promised Gandalf the Black family's assets; the house is your inheritance."
"Don't let me see you again." Harry said coldly. He had never hated anyone as much as he did today, not even Snape.
Mundungus felt as if he had been granted a pardon, packed his trunk, and immediately Apparition.
"Damn thief."
"Oh well, Harry, there's no point in saying this now." Tonks opened the pub door. "Come on in, you shouldn't be freezing out here."
The group entered the bar, Harry was still very angry. "Can't the club do something about him? Sirius Black has only been dead for a short time, and he's already selling his stuff."
"I know you're angry, and what Mundungus did was indeed very unkind," Tonks said, pursing her lips. "But we have more important things to do."
"I'll tell Dumbledore. Only he can make Mundungus feel afraid," Harry scoffed.
"The key question is, who is the Warlock who signed the agreement with Sirius Black? And what did he ask him to do?" Hermione said, glancing meaningfully at Tonks, hoping she could provide an explanation.
"I wasn't in the company at the time, and not many people knew about it," Tonks said. "Lupin said Gandalf was..."
"Um..." Aaron interrupted her somewhat guiltily, "I personally feel that I'm not suited to know about these things. You guys can discuss it yourselves; I won't get involved."
"It's okay." Hermione pulled Aaron into a chair. "It's just something to listen to, nothing serious."
"But I..."
"No buts. Sit down first, I'll go get some drinks," Hermione said seriously, turning to go to the bar.
Just kidding, if you go back early, Clea might fail at the last minute.
A moment later, she placed several glasses of Butterbeer on the table.
Tonks shrugged and continued, "Lupin said Gandalf is an old Warlock, Dumbledore, but he seems wiser than Dumbledore."
"Anything else?" Hermione asked.
"No, we did some investigation afterward, but we found nothing except for his appearance and name. It's like he just popped out of thin air."
When asked, Phineas remained tight-lipped, only admitting that the matter had occurred, and that no further information could be obtained.
However, one thing is certain: Sirius Black trusted him completely.
