Teleportation Array Instead of Rent, Not the Time to Get Cocky
"That's baffling," Harry said. "Who is she? And what did she find?"
"Clea, she found my secret base." Aaron sighed helplessly. "She's definitely the smartest one among us."
"Since we've been discovered, why not just tell us?" Hermione said smugly. She was at least partly responsible for Clea finding Aaron's secret base.
If she hadn't gone to great lengths to stall for time, even resorting to faking being drunk, she might not have succeeded.
"No way." Aaron firmly refused.
One Clea is troublesome enough; if they take over this trio of troublemakers, the Divine Thunder Hall will likely be in complete chaos.
Besides, Sirius Black's 'corpse' is still there; it would be difficult to explain if he were discovered.
"I'm leaving now. If nothing unexpected happens, Clea is waiting for me right now!"
Divine Thunder Hall.
Aaron had just arrived when he saw Clea admiring his treasure vault.
The Thought Form introduced her to the Nika Mask, the Magic Carpet, Captain Jack's Compass, the one-time use Tiger Talisman, the cursed Gerani Green Emerald, the five Magic Firearms, as well as his carefully crafted pills and enchanted bullets.
"Alright, you go and rest first. I'm tired just listening to this," Aaron said to the Thought Form.
"At least you have some conscience." Thought Form a heavy sigh of relief, then immediately ran to the farthest room and locked the door.
"You're back." Clea gave Aaron a smug look, then gave him a thumbs up. "It's clear you've had a very fulfilling few years."
"I can't help it, I don't feel secure if I don't feel fulfilled!"
"Uncle Jeans really has to thank Voldemort. If it weren't for the pressure he put on you, you might not have worked so hard."
"Don't laugh at me," Aaron waved his hand. "Where are you visiting?"
"I've seen everything I needed to see, including your granary, vault, morgue, and several workshops."
This underground palace is practically a refuge; what are you afraid of?
"Of course it's the Dark Lord," Aaron said matter-of-factly. "I've offended him terribly; who knows when he'll break into Hogwarts."
"That part is true, but it's definitely not the whole story."
Or rather, that was your initial perspective, but now your perspective has undergone a significant transformation. "Clea said meaningfully, " Voldemort is a threat to you, but not that great. However, you need time to deal with him, and this dungeon can fulfill that need."
You said Hogwarts was important to you, but what's truly important is this underground palace, right?
"Smart." Aaron didn't hold back his applause. In his opinion, being able to guess most of it was already quite remarkable. As for the Sign-in -in part, no one could guess it.
"But I feel there's something more important you're hiding from me. What is it?"
I can't tell you.
"Okay, you must have your reasons." Clea shrugged indifferently, then pointed to the storage shelf. "Did you bring these things back from other worlds?"
"The gun was made by my ancestors, but I made the bullets and pills myself."
As for the rest... they were brought from other worlds. "
"They are all interesting and practical."
"Tell me your suggestion first!" Aaron said.
"Your base is very well-constructed, with gardens and hot springs, but it lacks a woman."
"Stop joking," Aaron said, glancing at her. "I'm seriously asking you a question."
"We do need a woman," Clea said seriously, but seeing the black lines on Aaron's face, her tone softened a bit. "We need a guest room, right? In case I come here one day in a bad mood, I won't be without a place to stay."
"I'll open it up as soon as possible," Aaron said with a hint of helplessness. "And what else?"
"We lack an escape route," Clea said succinctly. "If enemies attack, the defensive magic you set up will buy you time to gather all the supplies here, but afterwards you will need a way to leave quickly."
"I've already prepared the Portkey."
"The Portkey is good, but you also proved it wasn't entirely reliable at the Department of Mysteries, and you can't guarantee you'll be the only one here in the future."
So you need a Teleportation Array, one that can allow you and even more people to safely leave this Teleportation Array.
"That's a bit difficult. I've tried it before, but the result... well, it's hard to explain."
"I can help," Clea said confidently. "A Teleportation Array is nothing to me, and it doesn't violate any family rules."
"Well... that's fine, but we need to plan it out carefully."
The two quickly reached an agreement: Clea could come over to build the Teleportation Array on weekends or holidays, but she could not disturb Aaron or the Thought Form's work at other times.
After seeing her out of the dormitory, Aaron closed the door and collapsed onto the bed.
"What do you mean by this?!" Aaron tugged at Abei's ear helplessly, his face full of resignation. From the beginning of the world Divine Thunder Hall was no longer just his personal domain.
"That woman is too smart, it's not shameful to lose to her," Abei said, looking aggrieved.
"But it's so frustrating!" Aaron sighed. "I knew from the day she came to school that she would eventually find my secret base, but I didn't expect her to find it on the very first day."
They actually waited over a month before starting any action; they really have a lot of patience.
"She's not at a disadvantage either!" Abei murmured. "At least she helped build the Teleportation Array."
"You're still too young. The Teleportation Array is your reward, or rather, your rent."
I helped her set up a bedroom, and she helped me build a Teleportation Array. She didn't take advantage of me; instead, she tried to find the most equitable and reasonable way to enter and exit the Divine Thunder Hall.
Abei scratched its head, seemingly understanding but not quite; it didn't comprehend but wouldn't ask any more questions.
"Well, at least this matter is over for now, and I don't have to worry about it anymore." Aaron gave a wry smile, rubbed his temples, and then opened his personal panel.
[Staying at the hotel: Aaron Gaius]
[Magical Energy: Body: 8118, Mid-level Archmage; Thought Form: 8118, Mid-level Archmage; Total: 16236 (Beginner Grand Archmage, an extremely rare existence in the Magic World)]
[Talent: Once in a Millennium (Increases Magical Energy by 4 points daily, Physical Strength by 2 points, and Thought Form Strength by 2 points)]
[Items: Resurrection Potion (can revive any creature that died within one hour), Magic Carpet, Captain Jack's Compass,...]
[Magic Points: 780]
"After waiting for so long, the day has finally come." Aaron looked at the numbers on the panel and couldn't help but feel excited. He took several deep breaths but still couldn't suppress his excitement.
"System, put all your Magic Points into Magical Energy. That should be enough for me to advance further."
"Okay, host."
As soon as he finished speaking, the number of Magic Points rapidly decreased, going from three digits to zero in just a moment.
At that moment, the Magic Power of the physical body and the Thought Form also increased rapidly, breaking through the High-level Archmage in the blink of an eye. More importantly, the overall Magic Power exceeded the barrier of the Intermediate Grand Archmage.
"Comfortable." Aaron felt the surging magical power within him, and the heavy burden in his heart disappeared without a trace. He felt incredibly relaxed.
Voldemort? He's nothing!
When he first encountered the Dark Lord, he could only flee in panic.
However, as his strength increased, his mentality gradually changed. It was a long and bitter process to go from desperately running away to facing the enemy head-on, but luckily he made it through.
Every encounter with Voldemort was fraught with danger. Only after obtaining the Dog Talisman was the risk of death completely eliminated. Even so, he could only guarantee his own survival and dared not reveal this ability, because being captured would be worse than death. Now he had the confidence to be invincible.
There is still a considerable gap between Intermediate Grand Archmage and Archmage Peak, but his mastery of magic and trump cards is enough to bridge that gap, making a head-on confrontation no longer a dream.
"No, calm down, calm down."
Aaron slapped his forehead a few times, suppressing the thoughts swirling in his mind.
He shouldn't get arrogant. Not losing doesn't mean he'll win. He must have been out of his mind to go head-to-head with Voldemort.
Moreover, Voldemort was not alone; he had a large number of supporters behind him, and once caught in a human wave tactic, it would be difficult for him to escape.
The next day, Hermione looked for Clea in the library and asked her about Aaron's secret base.
"I can tell you, but you must keep it a secret."
"That's the truth," Hermione said. "I'm very tight-lipped."
"I believe that. But I must say that keeping this a secret means not letting anyone else know, and not even Aaron."
Hermione hesitated for a moment, then nodded. At worst, she could just pretend to have discovered it by accident. After all, he couldn't very well not let her in!
"His secret base is underground," Clea said. "Deep down, near the Black Lake."
"What? Underground?" Hermione exclaimed in surprise, her mouth agape. "No wonder I couldn't find it for so long."
Where is the entrance?
"His dormitory," Clea exclaimed. "This is the smartest thing to do. No one would think that his dormitory would be connected to a secret base."
Slytherin all respected him and wouldn't enter his room without permission, while students from the other three houses probably couldn't even get into the Slytherin Common Room.
"That's it, I can't get in." Hermione slumped dejectedly onto the table, feeling like her life had been lost.
"Hmm... You can't get through the entrance, but this is the end, you should know that," Clea teased. "There's a huge Slytherin Statue there, you should have been there."
"The Secret Chamber, it must be the Secret Chamber in Slytherin!" Hermione exclaimed excitedly, jumping up. "Why didn't I think of that?"
The Secret Chamber is underground, not too far from the Slytherin Common Room; it can be easily modified for use.
Her smile quickly froze. "Knowing where you are won't help. Only Parseltongue can open the Secret Chamber, but only Harry can speak Parseltongue."
"Don't even think about it. Even if you could Parseltongue, you still couldn't get in," Clea said with absolute certainty. "His secret base only has one entrance; all the other entrances have been sealed off by him."
Even if Harry Potter reopens the Secret Chamber, all he'll see are stones and dirt.
"This is just too much!" Hermione said, both amused and exasperated, knowing that she couldn't go anywhere.
"You will have the opportunity to go, but it's not the right time yet."
"I know." Hermione gritted her teeth. "He said that only he could lead us in, but that would mean the Phoenix Society had lost."
Clea thought about the Magic Array Divine Thunder Hall and pondered, "Aaron is right. At that time, his place was probably the only safe place in the entire Magic World."
Christmas was fast approaching, and before the holidays, Professor Horace Slughorn prepared a banquet for all the students he felt were worthy of invitation, with each person allowed to bring a guest.
Nothing major happened during this period. In the Quidditch match, Gryffindor defeated Slytherin, 240 to 150.
Logically speaking, Slytherin shouldn't have achieved such a result with Clea participating. However, on the day of the match, Seeker Malfoy was absent, and Chaser Vaisey was unable to play due to a training injury. On the other hand, the opposing team had the genius Seeker Harry Potter, and their goalkeeper Ron Weasley also performed exceptionally well.
In this situation, if 5 out of 7 can avoid a crushing defeat, it's already a victory.
It's worth mentioning that after this game, Ron successfully escaped single life and started dating Rad Brown, a young Gryffindor.
The two were inseparable, often kissing in public, exuding the sweet and sour smell of love.
At 8 p. m., many wizards Warlock headed toward Slughorn's office.
His office was enchanted; it was much larger than a typical teacher's room and could accommodate many people.
Perhaps to enhance the festive atmosphere, colorful Veil were hung on the ceiling and walls, with a golden lantern in the center, inside which countless House-elf shimmered with golden light.
Aaron led Abei in, and as soon as they entered, they saw Slughorn taking a group photo with Harry Potter and several elderly Warlock.
"A celebrity networking event? I shouldn't have come," Aaron sighed softly.
"How boring, right?" Clea walked over with a cocktail in hand. "Besides his former famous students, he also invited several professors from the school."
That's good, the more people there are, the less likely you are to get noticed.
"I suppose so!" Aaron smiled wryly. "Who did you invite?"
"Don't worry, it's not a boy." Clea pointed to a girl in the crowd. "I'm inviting you to be one of your junior classmates."
"Xilin?" Aaron's lips twitched slightly. "I haven't paid much attention to her this semester."
"That's normal. She left after I arrived," Clea said matter-of-factly. "I had a detailed talk with her and successfully turned her infatuation with you into admiration."
"Hehe!" Aaron patted his chest nervously. "This is the only piece of news that makes me happy today."
"So how are you going to thank me?"
"This... we'll talk about it later, we'll talk about it later."
