Aaron stood before a long dining table, looking at well over a hundred plates, and inexplicably felt a little heartsick.
It was clear Jeans had put considerable effort into this breakfast. Everything that flew in the sky, swam in the water, or ran on land was here.
There were also all kinds of fruits, vegetables, drinks, and even snacks—one serving of every single thing he could get his hands on.
But the problem was that, as the Young Master, Aaron had never received such treatment in his entire life, while this little fellow's very first meal was a "Manchu Han Imperial Feast."
The master of the house was living worse than a pet. Was there any justice left in the world? Any family rules?
"Ahem! Uncle Jeans, isn't this a little too extravagant?" Aaron asked sourly.
Jeans froze for a moment, naturally catching the bitterness in Aaron's tone. He smiled. "I know what you want to say, Young Master, but your pet is truly extraordinary. There has never even been a dragon of this breed in recorded history.
"So, if we want to care for it properly, understanding its dietary habits is crucial.
"You wouldn't want to spend all your time figuring out what it can and cannot eat after school starts, would you?
"This breakfast is both a celebration of its birth and a simple survey.
"It includes all the common types of food, and there are dedicated investigators here to keep records. They'll provide a complete analysis report before noon. That way, caring for it in the future will be much easier for you."
Only then did Aaron turn his gaze toward the two people standing behind Jeans and silently nod.
"Go on, little fellow.
"This concerns your future menu. You only get one chance, so make the most of it." As he spoke, Aaron placed it on the dining table and let it do as it pleased.
Jeans raised an eyebrow slightly. "Young Master, now that it has been born, shouldn't we give it a name?
"We can't keep calling it little fellow forever!"
"I've thought about that too, but I really don't have any good ideas when it comes to naming things." Aaron smiled awkwardly. The little fellow had been called Abu in the movie, but it clearly could not be called that in this world—especially not when he was about to become a Hogwarts freshman.
After all, the headmaster's name was Albus Dumbledore. If it were named Abu, a teacher would probably have a talk with him on the very first day of school.
Hearing this, Jeans suddenly straightened his back and said confidently, "What do you think of Miko, Young Master?"
"Miko?" Aaron murmured thoughtfully.
The name sounded pretty good, and it was a heartfelt suggestion from Jeans. More importantly, Aaron himself had no better idea. Maybe he could just use it?
It was better than "little fellow," at least!
"As for that name..."
Before Aaron could finish, the little fellow flew over and shook its head repeatedly at him. It even shot Jeans a fierce, babyish glare.
"It requires further discussion. Yes, that name requires further discussion." Aaron gently rejected the suggestion.
"All right." Jeans sounded somewhat disappointed. It was quite a good name, but the little fellow did not like it.
At that moment, the little fellow grabbed Aaron's hand and placed it atop its own head. Its dragon eyes curved into crescents as it smiled.
Aaron understood immediately and said with a wry smile, "You want me to give you a name?"
The little fellow nodded, then smugly glanced at Jeans.
Jeans: ...
So it wasn't that the name he chose was bad. The problem was that he was the one who had chosen it!
Still, that was a good thing. At least this young dragon was far closer to the Young Master than he had imagined.
A few seconds later, Aaron gritted his teeth. "How about Abei?"
"Young Master, isn't that name a little lame?" Jeans said.
But the little fellow did not think so at all. It became incredibly excited, circling Aaron several times before returning to the dining table. It was obviously very satisfied with its new name.
"Uncle Jeans, what was that you said just now?" Aaron asked teasingly.
"Nothing. I didn't say anything. You must have heard wrong, Young Master."
Having received a name, the little fellow was visibly delighted. It landed on the dining table again, proudly raised its tiny chin, and strode toward the nearest plate.
The Gaius Family's chefs were elite professionals, and every dish was exquisitely prepared.
Abei did not want to miss a single dish, but its stomach was only so big. For some plates, it merely sniffed them, hesitated for a moment, and moved on. At others, it lingered briefly, stuck out its tongue, licked them, and took one or two bites. Only a select few dishes truly excited it, making it stretch out its little claws toward the investigators and frantically signal with its eyes.
After half an hour, the feast Jeans had painstakingly prepared had not gone to waste. They had finally determined the little fellow's diet.
The investigators exchanged glances, then somewhat hesitantly handed over the report in their hands.
After reading it carefully, Aaron smiled slightly and said meaningfully, "Abei is much easier to raise than I thought."
Jeans nodded as well. It seemed there would be no need to specially prepare its meals in the future.
Every category of food on the report had received at least one checkmark, meaning Abei was not picky at all. Foods with two checkmarks were things it liked more, such as snacks like biscuits, fruit, and chocolate. Foods with three checkmarks were things it loved, including chicken legs and milk.
Aaron stepped forward, picked up Abei, which had gained several pounds, and held the report in front of it. "Take a look. Any objections? If not, this will decide your menu from now on."
Abei glanced over it, let out a few soft whines, and nodded in satisfaction.
Only then did Aaron relax. Abei was fairly intelligent too. Since it did not object, the report must have been worthwhile.
"However..." Jeans hesitated for a few seconds before saying thoughtfully, "Abei is a dragon, after all. It won't eat people, will it?"
The moment he said it, he felt a chill run down his back. Aaron and Abei were both staring at him, clearly very displeased that he even had such a question.
"Haha! I was only joking.
"Abei is obviously a good dragon. How could it eat people?"
Over the next few days, Aaron went to Diagon Alley every morning to check in, and he brought Abei along with him.
It could drink milk tea, milk, and other drinks as much as it wanted.
But there was one rule it had to follow: it was not allowed to leave the owner's room.
After all, he had not yet obtained an official Dragon Leash License! Until he was absolutely certain there was no risk, he did not dare take it openly onto the streets.
The reason Abei could leave Gaius Castle now was because it wore a blue outfit to hide its wings and a white hat to cover its ears.
It was clearly a dragon with limitless potential, but with that outfit on, it looked like nothing more than a kitten cute enough to kill.
Inside the room, Aaron lay in a rocking chair with his eyes closed, though his consciousness was immersed in the system store.

"Sigh." Aaron let out a faint sigh. The things he wanted were especially expensive, but he could not afford them. The things he could afford were useless.
It seemed the plan could not change after all. Saving up Magic Points was the priority.
Just then, a bell rang from the wall.
Abei happily jumped to Aaron's side. It knew that was the signal to go home—and also the signal that mealtime was about to begin.
As a newborn young dragon, it placed exceptional importance on its meals.
"Enough thinking. Let's go home." Aaron picked up Abei and walked toward the fireplace.
"After you, Young Master." Jeans smiled and made an inviting gesture.
"I know. It's not like this is the first or second time. You don't need to remind me." Aaron rolled his eyes, then used Floo Powder.
As green flames rose up, Jeans unconsciously let out a sigh of relief. This time, he did not return to the castle with Aaron. Instead, he used Apparition and vanished from the spot.
