Medical legacy

Tsunade established and drove Konoha's medical system, rapidly developing its Medical-nin training structure after the Second Shinobi World War. Her battlefield work neutralized Suna's poisons and the Salamander's venom, reducing Konoha's wartime casualties and earning her renown across the Ninja World. 22 74 116

The deaths of her younger brother and lover during the war left her with hemophobia. She withdrew from managing the medical system, causing its development to stagnate as Konoha's leadership focused only on producing more Medical-nin rather than advancing medical techniques. 22 169

Encounter with Hyuga Mirai

While drinking in her office at Konoha Hospital, Tsunade initially resisted giving Hyuga Mirai access to a laboratory. His proposals—including Healing Tags and principles resembling her own sealing techniques—revealed exceptional medical talent and earned her attention. 27

Tsunade later regarded Mirai as a possible disciple and taught him earnestly, making his eventual hostility a personal betrayal.
