Reencountering Spandine

Gion frowned, about to swat away Jessica's hand that was pulling at her collar, when Gigue's voice suddenly rang out from behind her.

"What are you two doing?"

Sensing Gigue behind her, Gion's hand, which had been about to move, stopped. She even turned around directly, causing the opening of her collar to widen further, revealing a bit of pink lingerie.

However, Gigue completely ignored this breathtakingly alluring scene. He bypassed Gion and went to Ginny, patting a strand of pink ahoge on her head. "Hey, silly girl, what's wrong?" he asked.

Ginny was startled and quickly turned her head away, muttering, "N-nothing!"

"Then why are you looking down? Did you finish your training for today? Learning to slack off, are we?"

"I'm not slacking off! I'm going to train right now!"

Ginny jumped a couple of times in frustration, then suddenly quieted down and asked tentatively, "Brother Gigue, do you like high heels too?"

"High heels? Why the sudden question?"

"Ah, never mind that, just tell me if you like them!"

"Hmm... they're okay. Do you want to wear high heels? I can get you a pair, though I think you'd look better in boots."

"Brother Gigue likes me in boots? Okay! I get it!"

Gigue crossed his arms and said to himself, "Actually, both types of shoes really affect mobility. For regular training, I don't..."

But Ginny wasn't listening to Gigue's next words at all. She made a face at Gion behind Gigue, then pulled Jessica and turned around, running away as if fleeing. Gigue was left somewhat bewildered.

Gion wanted to say a few more words to Gigue, but he didn't even seem to consider turning back. He flashed and disappeared from his spot.

In just a moment, Gion was alone again. She adjusted her disheveled collar and looked at the deep cleavage, muttering to herself, "What a rude man. I don't believe you can keep ignoring me like this!"

She looked at Ginny, who had already started training in the distance, her eyes gradually narrowing. "As long as I get along well with that Ginny..."

Evening.

After Gigue finished washing up, he returned to the dormitory. Akainu and Kuma had gone to bathe, leaving only Kizaru in the dormitory, who had already burrowed into his covers.

He rested his head on one hand, holding a banana in the other, savoring it bite by bite as if it were the most delicious thing in the world.

The banana was something he had brought back from the cafeteria after dinner, specifically to enjoy as a small bedtime treat.

Seeing Gigue return, Kizaru fumbled under his pillow and pulled out another banana. He generously tossed it to Gigue, saying, "Gigue, have a banana. I grabbed quite a few from the cafeteria."

Gigue caught it and placed the banana next to his pillow, chuckling. "No thanks, I just brushed my teeth. I'll save it for tomorrow morning."

Kizaru nodded. He wasn't as particular as Gigue; he didn't brush his teeth at night!

There were no cell phones or anything in the Pirate World. Gigue tidied his bed a bit and was about to get into bed when the Den Den Mushi on the desk suddenly rang.

This Den Den Mushi had only been placed there a few days ago and was exclusive to their dormitory.

Because the four of them had already reached the rank of Vice Admiral, Zephyr no longer treated them as ordinary cadets.

If there were any temporary missions, Zephyr would contact them through this Den Den Mushi to draft a few of them to go out to sea with him.

If Akainu were here, knowing his personality, he would have been the first to answer. But he happened to be absent.

Gigue glanced at Kizaru on the bunk above him. Kizaru showed no intention of moving, staring at the ceiling and mumbling, "Why is the old man calling so late at night? Gigue, you go answer it. That banana I just ate made my stomach feel a bit bloated."

Gigue shrugged helplessly and walked over to the desk, pressing the connect button on the Den Den Mushi's shell. A Den Den Mushi with purple hair began to vividly imitate Zephyr's voice, "Is that Gigue? Someone from the World Government is here to see you at the entrance. Go meet them."

Hearing this, Kizaru on the bed sat up abruptly, perking his ears to listen.

Zephyr continued, "Don't be nervous. That person is named Spandine. I heard from Babus that you two had some contact when you were in the Kingdom of Sorbet before. I won't pry into your personal affairs, just go meet him for now."

Gigue nodded and said, "Understood, I'll go now."

After hanging up, Gigue threw on a jacket and prepared to head out. Kizaru suddenly called out to him, "Gigue, if you're not coming back tonight, let us know. Don't hesitate to tell us if anything comes up."

Gigue paused slightly. When he turned around, he saw Kizaru's concerned gaze.

Feeling a warmth in his heart, Gigue softly said, "It's fine, didn't Teacher Zephyr say it? I know that person, maybe they just brought a message from home for me."

With these words, Gigue made it clear to Kizaru that his family was connected to the World Government. Kizaru said no more upon hearing this, nodded, and slowly lay down.

Arriving at the entrance of the Marine Academy, the guards saw it was Gigue and immediately opened the gates, letting him leave.

As soon as Gigue stepped out of the gate, Spandine emerged from the shadows as if he were a thief. He walked up to Gigue with a hunched back, his smile as obsequious as ever.

"Saint Gigue, I am truly sorry to trouble you to come out in person. I was afraid that if I went in, I might let something slip in front of outsiders and expose your noble identity..."

Gigue waved his hand and said, "Alright, you did well. Now, tell me, what do you need me for?"

"It's like this, Saint Garling called me today and asked me to take you to Mary Geoise."

"Uncle Garling is looking for me? Did he say why?"

"No, Saint Garling just said he wanted to see you."

Spandine rubbed his hands together, looking up at Gigue with a fawning expression, and continued, "Saint Gigue, don't worry. I've told others that the World Government is very interested in you and wants to assess you. After all, your outstanding performance here is evident to everyone."

As he said this, Spandine looked at Gigue with reverence. He thought to himself, Truly worthy of the Figarland Family. I must remember that this batch of cadets is personally guided by former Marine Admiral Zephyr, so the quality of the students is absolutely top-tier.

For Gigue to stand out among them, just how strong must his talent be!

Spandine had encountered quite a few Celestial Dragons. To be honest, their strength wasn't even as great as his own, a mere "battle power of five." He had never met a Celestial Dragon like Gigue before.
