Two Battlefields

Otsutsuki Cangshiki let out a scream and clutched his severed arm as he rapidly retreated, but Gigue gave him no chance to catch his breath, chasing after him with his blade raised.

After barely dodging another of Gigue's savage chops, Cangshiki snapped, "Wait a second!"

Gigue looked at Cangshiki as though he were an idiot.

"If your opponent in a fight to the death asked for a timeout, would you stop? Are all the elders of the Otsutsuki Clan idiots like you?"

Cangshiki gritted his teeth in fury and said, "You're the one being shameless! Didn't Tsukishiki stop just now when you told her to?"

"How is that the same? I was sparring with her. I'm not sparring with you."

With that, Gigue raised his hand and unleashed another slash wave. Cangshiki's eyes widened as he frantically channeled chakra, releasing Shinra Tensei with his one remaining hand and barely deflecting the slash wave.

Cangshiki tried to regenerate his severed arm, but the black aura lingering at the wound completely nullified his regenerative ability. It was incredibly difficult even to grow the slightest bit of flesh there.

Left with no choice, Cangshiki gave up on restoring his arm and faced Gigue with one hand.
