Lily was one of the original Twenty Kings and the only member of the Clan of D among the eighteen Moon people who later became tied to the Void Throne. She opposed Joy Boy’s vision of unrestricted freedom, arguing that lasting freedom required order. When Joy Boy rejected her proposal for a unified kingdom, she allied with Saint Cassius against him. 538 542 563

Following the ancient conflict, eighteen moderate Moon people merged their souls into the Void Throne. Their remaining obsession confined Lily to the Flower Chamber, fearing that a future ruler from the Clan of D could become an unchecked dictator. They did not know that her fully developed Devil Fruit had granted her eternal life, leaving her imprisoned for more than eight hundred years. 563 621

During her reign, Lily established or directed major world institutions, including the Divine Knights and Marines. She later admitted that she gradually stopped overseeing the excesses of the Celestial Dragons, allowing their descendants to become a scourge on the world. 564
